TTC #1, Cycle 1. Anyone In?

Hi all,
Longtime lurker, occasional commenter, rare poster here.
DH and I decided to start to TTC after much deliberation recently.
I've been on the pill for 16 years and haven't had a natural period in that time! Had my withdrawal bleed which started on 15th Jan and think I may have ovulated on Thursday 2nd Feb. I was doing OPKs (I know - first cycle, but if I'm going to do it, I'm going all in!) and got an almost-positive then - didn't have any more OPKs with me to test slightly later in the day.
DTD numerous times in what I'm estimating is my fertile week (working on the basis that my cycle is 28 days but don't really know at the moment).
So now the waiting begins.
Anyone in the same position or want to join?

I'm 10 dpo going to do a yest tomorrow, not feeling confident but have booked a holiday for May so trying to convince myself it will be better to wait anyway so I can have cocktails!

I’m on CD29, AF due now if I have a normal cycle but I don’t know what I have! Peed on a cheapie yesterday night so I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was negative haha. I am traveling for work/conference and brought and FRER but I’m too scared to use it! Either way it’s kept me busy and my mind off TTC! Hope everyone else is doing well, sorry to hear about AF @Rmad6716 and @howiseverynametaken.

@Leonora94 I also have a trip booked in May but it’s during the 2WW (if my cycle ends up being normal... again, who knows), I kinda wish it was earlier so I could enjoy more beer haha!

FRER was negative but I’m feeling surprisingly positive and ready for next month, my holiday falls bang on my fertile week so I’m feeling optimistic! Good luck everyone testing this weekend xx

Hi all!

So I'm in my fertile week now, and we're allegedly trying SMEP this month although we are supposed to be DTD today and DH is working so not sure whether it'll happen.

I've had flashing smileys for the past 3 days and am hoping for a solid smiley tomorrow or Monday.

I feel completely overwhelmed by the feeling of wanting to DTD as much as possible so that we have the best chance of conceiving, and feel quite anxious when we don't get the chance to do it.

My poor DH is being great - I think he realised last month how important this is to me when I cried my eyes out at my BFN.

Good luck @jemimafuddleduck and don't worry too much (difficult I know) just try your best to relax, I find sometimes that's the best thing you can do. If DH is working today then you take the day just to do you, paint your nails, relax, eat the food you love and watch your fav film

Wellllll I peed on a cheapie today and to my utter shock I did see something (had tested 2 days before totally negative). Followed it up with a FRER and there it was!

I’m in utter shock, hasn’t really sunk in yet. No symptoms except mildly sore boobs for the last week or so.

Haven’t told DH yet because I’m out of town but I’m excited to do so!

Congratulations @emdoc! That is most definitely a BFP! I am slightly tempted to test again...AF never really got started, I had a very small amount of bleeding for 1.5 days which is very different to normal. I didn't have any pain/breast soreness with it which I would do normally. Not sure if I am being a bit overly optimistic though!

I think I'm probably out took a Tesco test last night & this morning with fmu both now show lines but didn't within the time period so prob evap lines. Was clinging onto the hope they are from when your period is due and I'm 12dpo today with af due early this week coming but I took a clear blue early response this morning with second morning wee and got a negative. Will try again with tomorrow fmu but think I'm deluding myself

@sprinkleofsunshine I’m not sure because I don’t know when I ovulated exactly! Never had EWCM or anything. Probably about 15 dpo? Regarding your tests I was reading something about testing pregnancy tests for accuracy and they said that the sensitivity improved when they waited longer (when the pregnancy was very early) so those lines might be something!

@howiseverynametaken I know I’d probably test if I were you just because several people seem to have posted with exactly that and a BFP! But I’d try to expect a negative (easier said than done of course) 😬

The sensitive boobs are back - I always get a little optimistic when this happens hoping it's a good sign, however, trying to be realistic that I've previously had this for the week before my period.

I've definitely found using the clear blue ovulation tests a bit confusing (high fertility CD12-14 then CD20 through to and including today CD27) but have read that a lot of ladies have some weird reading the first month then the 2nd month is more accurate.

With coming off the pill and not having a settled cycle I don't know exactly when AF is due so if I'm going to have a 28 day cycle then it'll be tomorrow or if it's going to be a 35 day cycle then it'll be 7th of May.

Obviously hoping that it doesn't come at all and I get a BFP instead but I'll take my period coming back before another 118 day cycle as a win!

Giving the dubiety about cycle lengths and AF and ovulation dates I have no clue when to even consider testing!

Also had a very frank discussion with DH about trying to lose some weight together to help our chances and prepare ourselves incase we do end up needing fertility help in the future.

I'm back on this, trying SMEP this month and finally paid for FF so I can have all the fancy charting features.

Positive opk today and EWCM so DH didn't stand a chance lol

@sailorcherrie same boat as you! Come off pill and hoping for a BFP but will settle for AF as it will mean a normal cycle for once!!! If 28 im also due tomorrow!!! But fingers crossed we both get a BFP!!!!

Morning everyone, I thought I was out out after BFN on Saturday but now I’m getting some brown stringy discharge (sorry if tmi) never had it before AF is due Wednesday. Does anyone else get this before AF? Google is giving me 100 different answers!

TTC #1. Cane off implant on 09 April, had bleed in 11th.. and had another bleed that started yesterday and today?! By my dates I should be due AF on 9th May. I had regular bleeds when on implant.
Can anyone help me as to where I might be at?!
I thought it might be am implantation bleed but I'm not sure.. I think it might be a little too heavy to be...

Hey ladies, haven't been on for ages hope everyone is well.
My fertile window this month was between 18th-23rd April and we dtd on 15th,20th and 22nd.
Fertile window was over a week ago today and I've just been to the toilet and had spotting. Also got a little cramping, obviously I'm overthinking everything but does this sound good?
