TTC #1, Cycle 1. Anyone In?

Hi all,
Longtime lurker, occasional commenter, rare poster here.
DH and I decided to start to TTC after much deliberation recently.
I've been on the pill for 16 years and haven't had a natural period in that time! Had my withdrawal bleed which started on 15th Jan and think I may have ovulated on Thursday 2nd Feb. I was doing OPKs (I know - first cycle, but if I'm going to do it, I'm going all in!) and got an almost-positive then - didn't have any more OPKs with me to test slightly later in the day.
DTD numerous times in what I'm estimating is my fertile week (working on the basis that my cycle is 28 days but don't really know at the moment).
So now the waiting begins.
Anyone in the same position or want to join?
Advice and your stories welcomed!

I've actually booked a doctors appointment today for Monday. I know it's still early-ish and they might tell me to do one but my cycles are consistently around 22 days and I'm worried that they're not long enough. Will see what they say!

@orangekitkat13 amazing!! I’m so happy for you! I understand still feeling nervous but that is a great line! Have you told your DP yet?

@Rmad6716 well, that chart officially will make me insane whenever I do decide to POAS 😂 those barely-there lines do look like something when you see the progression!

@Moxska yes since this is my first cycle TTC and I’m so unsure what my cycle is like, if AF arrives in a relatively normal timeframe I think I will be able to see the silver lining in that. After that though I don’t think I’ll have any patience for it!! 😬

Am I too late to join?
Came off the pills 14 months ago but this will be he first month I have actually had AF so counting it as 1st month really!
Have PCOS and under gyny now so could be here a while!

@emdoc DH was there with me when got the result, wouldn't let me take a test without him!

Last two cycles were 25 days so hopefully they will continue to be regular. Af should finish today and then fertile week starts Monday, onwards and upwards! Need to get into the spirit of spring time and have more sex!

@jemimafuddleduck oh I'm sorry! Focus on the good stuff, another month of booze and sushi. Sure it'll happen soon.

I caved an hour or so ago and POAS. I woke up feeling really sick to the point I thought I was actually going to have to be sick. Felt the same the last couple days but nothing that bad🤢.

I didn't use FMU cause I didn't have a test at home and told myself I wouldn't test.

I'll post a couple pics.. I think I can see something but I also think I'm imagining it 😣.

Hi is it ok for me to join in I stopped my mini pill in February I've had a withdrawal bleed and 2 periods since then and no joy I was using apps but now I'm thinking about using a BBT it worked for my mum twice so kind of hoping it will for me too fingers crossed.

@Rmad6716 yours looks like how mine looked yesterday!!! You're definitely not imagining it. Today I got this ☺️ I think you will too tomorrow hopefully!!

Thank you jermimafuddleduck can any one give me advice or tips on things that I can try that I haven't already I will try literally anything to improve my chances of getting pregnant.

@Shootfirstaskquestionslater I enjoyed the book It Starts With The Egg. I put into practice a lot of her recommendations 3 months before we started trying. Essentially cutting out a lot of things in our lives that can interfere with hormones- mainly parabens and phthalates found in things like cleaning products, perfumes, nail polish, even till receipts!! Obviously it's early days for me and could be just lucky but I think it may have helped conceiving first cycle :)

Hopefully it will end up looking like yours. I feel like I can hardly actually see it by eye, worried it's a weird indent or something! Scared to test again in case it ends up being a real BFN🙀. I'll try and wait till Monday so that if it is a BFP it will be more pink 🤞🏼

Had people asking if am pregnant because of this "strange" food combination tangy cheese Doritos dipped in mint ice cream I have been told to test but my period is due tomorrow and I want to wait and see what happens tomorrow before I waste a test.

Sorry AF arrived @jemimafuddleduck. I managed to completely forget about testing etc all weekend but suddenly realised that I was 12dpo this morning (cycles of 33 days or so...cd30 today). I usually get heaps of pre-AF symptoms but haven't had any. Managed to get all stupidly excited and took an IC....BFN ☹. Will most likely go and buy a FRER this afternoon...how more accurate are they though?

I'm on CD24 today and symptom free other than a bit of a migraine which isn't unusual for me and slightly sore boobs. Kinda wish I knew when AF was due so that I knew how much to make myself crazy thinking about it!

@sailorcherrie I have no idea what is happening with your temp! Are you testing first thing in the morning? I read that you shouldn't include results where you have been drinking the night before, had more/less sleep than normal or if you are unwell....

I went and bought a FRER but very mild AF cramps started before I was able to take the test. Still no AF so will see how the rest of the day goes and will do it tonight if nothing else has happened....if I can wait that long!

I haven't tested today because I caved yesterday and pee'd on my last FRER🤭.

I think it's a BFN. Again within the 3 mins I thought there could be something but I think I'm imagining it. Saturdays test really did look promising but I'm pretty sure it was just a fluke or indent.

I have more tests arriving today so if AF doesn't show this week I'll maybe POAS on Saturday (as hard as that will be!).

This is day 51 of my cycle 😣AF allegedly due after day 54. According to my late ovulation. I'm really not looking forward to Another 2 month wait to see if I'm preggo 😢😞.
