Anyone just starting the TWW..?

Hi all,

Just started the 2WW (I think) as I’m pretty sure I ovulated yesterday/today based on Flo & the bloatedness I’ve had...just wondered if anyone was at the same stage as me and how they were feeling about it all? This is TTC #1 for me xx

Hi @Hopefulbunny, I know how you feel about age, I was worried too and still am in terms of staying pregnant, healthy baby etc!

There are so many older mums these days, for anyone feeling like they’re over 35 and are too old, it’s worth reading the impatient women’s guide to getting pregnant. It’s got some great stats and advice on using opks and timing for optimal dtd dates, if that’s your thing. I felt I had to try to be in control of what I could be. Made dtd a bit less spontaneous but that’s ok a few days a month, plenty of time for spontaneity on other days 🙈 I was ovulating two days earlier than apps suggested and would have missed it this month so was very lucky to get the positive opk when I did.

How are you getting on @LineEyes0801 hope all ok and you're feeling a little better. I've been in an awful mood the past couple of days but that could be AF on the way, although only 6DPO x

Hi, I'm good thanks. Still a bit anxious especially as period not due until Friday but have done an embarrassing number of tests and think they're getting darker so that's helping! Going to tell husband tonight. I have waited to be a bit more certain and also because I proposed a year ago today so feels appropriate!

Photos are today (top) and yesterday's FMU on a boots own brand and an FRER I took yesterday afternoon.

A friend said grumpiness was her first sign too so fingers crossed for you! :)

Does anyone know when the CB with weeks indicator would show up? Don't want to do it too soon.

@LineEyes0801 with the FRER line being they strong I reckon it would show up now tbh
Although wait until after AF is due, don't want you being disheartened!

@lucylondon32 I'm also 6dpo! When are you going to test? Would cheapies show a positive on 14dpo?

@DaisyMay25 I cracked and did the CB digi and got a 1-2 weeks! I have no self control when it comes to POAS. Also, I think my afternoon wee is better than first thing. All the tests have come out clearer afternoon/eve than morning.

@lucylondon32 I got a positive on IC from 10DPO, but they are a bit faint and they also dried even fainter so it's not great for the obsessive like me...

@buntingandstars this was cycle 4 of properly trying and 6 of no contraception. Don't know why I bothered being so careful for 15 years now, turns out it's harder than they make out in sex ed!

Just got all my stuff for this clearblue trial, I'm in the control group so nothing survival for me, can't even use an ovulation tests. But I did get some snazzy pregnancy tests! They have a count down on them! (I hope they send me more to keep)

@LineEyes0801 that's so exciting! You been to see the doctor yet?/book in with a midwife?

Also because I can't use ovulation tests do we think is I DTD every other day from CD8 for two weeks I should be covered?

@DaisyMay25 Yes that's what I would go for - tiring but comprehensive!

I actually was just looking up what happens with GP/midwife and it's an online self referral. I think I'll wait until next week to check no nasty period surprise over the weekend. Oh, and when I've told my husband too! We were meant to be going for dinner tonight and he's just announced he has to work late - noooo! think I've convinced him to at least work at home this evening... I've waited 2 days and just want to tell him now!

Also for symptom spotters: I have really had nothing to report, apart from this ferocious bad mood at the weekend. boobs fine (despite constant poking). I have possibly been hungrier than normal but I always eat loads when it's cold so not even certain that's different either!

@DaisyMay25 I actually haven't seen him much as I was out Monday and he worked late yesterday which helped, but it was mainly also because I wanted to be certain as last month I told him straight away then not sure if it was an evap on a cheapie or a chemical but it didn't stick, and he was so disappointed. but also I proposed to him on V day last year so thought it would be an extra nice treat today! (though I don't know what I'll manage to pull out of the hat next year, set the bar too high!)

I woke up this morning with some very light bleeding/spotting and I'm thinking at 7dpo it could maybe be implantation bleeding? Not had cramps like you get with AF.

AF not due for another week.ive just felt quite tired this week but that's about it. Xoxo

@buntingandstarcharts @gossipgirl28 I've been in an awful mood the past few days, very tired but that could be normal for AF. Although I had bleeding when I wiped on Saturday then nothing since! Really trying to sit on my hands and not test yet as I'm sure it's too early to tell either way xx

I'm thinking quite positive as I tried to do everything to give me and OH the best chance. I bought fertility lube, used apps, temps and OPKs.
I got a positive opk on CD14 and CD15. DTD on CD 9,10,11,14,15,16,27 so fingers crossed! I've just got cheapy tests off the Internet but going to try and hold out until next thurs! Xoxo
