Anyone just starting the TWW..?

Hi all,

Just started the 2WW (I think) as I’m pretty sure I ovulated yesterday/today based on Flo & the bloatedness I’ve had...just wondered if anyone was at the same stage as me and how they were feeling about it all? This is TTC #1 for me xx

@LG88 so sorry I've been so useless with replying because I've been trying so hard to be chilled about it all Basically, I had two blood tests - both normal and then this scan which showed this cyst. The sonographer has said it was probably stopping ovulation and may need removing, im now awaiting an appointment with my GP to discuss further. My doctor friend has said she would be shocked if a sonographer could tell about the ovulation not happening just by looking at a scan pic and that I shouldn't take what she said as definitely true. Meh. Just want to know so I can sort it all out in my head! How are you? I'd love to one day go for a cute coffee with our babies.... if they ever happen! Devon is lovely, lucky you! Whys new with you and how are you feeling? X

@buntingandstarcharts oh gosh, how very confusing for you!! It's always the worst thing not knowing isn't it, doesn't matter if its good news or bad it just feels better knowing what you are dealing with. When will you see your GP? Are you continuing to try for the time being as there doesn't seem a reason not to? You must be coming towards ovulation? I am OK, period is due the end of this week and I am dreading how I am going to feel when it happens. Just feel like it is going to be a low after I have finally just about pulled myself together. Devon is beautiful, I love living here right by the seaside. If you ever feel like a weekend away to get away from it all the sea is always a fabulous distraction. 💕😘 Thinking of you lots. Xx

@LG88 have you done an early test? I sometimes find it easier to see a negative than my period! We are continuing to try and then my doc said he would call with test results tomorrow. I'm nervous. My ovulation sticks are positive and I've read it's only super rare that ovulation wouldn't happen with the LH surge, I'm just hoping the sonographer got it wrong! Also, how many days do you have an LH surge for (aka positive opk)? I had super clear positives which was great and today it looks like this.... would you say it's negative now?

@buntingandstarcharts no I didn't take early tests but my period showed so no need now. I actually dealt with it better than I had imagined I would. I think I knew it wouldn't happen so quickly after the mc so on to next month for me. I think the surge lasts for 48 hours normally. Yer I would say you have had your surge now, I think the line is normally stronger than the control line when it's positive. That all sounds really good then, I wouldn't imagine you would get strong positives like that if you weren't ovulating? No harm in keep trying whatever. I have everything crossed for you as you are entering the dreaded 2ww. Sending lots of 'positive' vibes your way.. In every sense of the word. Xx

I've had the biggest drama in the world. My blood tests were great and normal, but my ultra sound showed that I have a 5cm 'mass' in my left ovary and I'm not ovulating at all from that ovary because this cyst is so big it's distorting the ovary - I have to have an operation to remove it, and potentially the ovary too! I'm so relieved they found it. It's innocent and nothing scary but just means conceiving has been difficult.

Yay, @Hopefulbunny your back!! How are you? How are things going for you? I'm feeling OK, pretty nervous after last time but I feel very different this time around weirdly. I have taken all of these tests so guess it can't be wrong. My clearblue never hit 2-3 weeks last time so fingers crossed that's a good sign. Where abouts in your cycle are you? How are you feeling about everything? Xx

Hi @Hopefulbunny, I'm good thank you! So good to hear from you. How are things going for you? Just really tender boobs which I have never had before even when I ovulate or get my period, and I am so tired I could sleep all the time. 😴 Slightly queasy now and then but not much and I am absolutely not complaining about a single bit of it. I'm super nervous after last time though so struggling not to stress myself out over every little thing. I hope you and @buntingandstarcharts are both well. Missed chatting with you both. Xx

I've been having some 'time off' whilst I had the operation, they removed an enormous ball of disgustingness From my ovary which has been left deformed but apparently able to ovulate. I'm back in the game now but It's been completely lovely not to have that monthly stress over the past 6 weeks if I'm honest! Yay congrats @LG88 amazing news! You're so fertile now - you lucky thing. How are you @Hopefulbunny? So I have been doing my OPKs which have been negative and then this morning I got this.... is it positive? I'm sad as husband is at work til late and worried I've missed my chance 😪😪😪😪 what do you think?

Why is the TWW so difficult? I've been trying to get on with my life and not go symptom stopping but I'm...well, failing miserably.

My boobs have felt heavy and sore since ovulation (four days ago lol, feels like four weeks ago somehow) and I have to keep reminding myself that they are probably often heavy and sore but I don't notice it so much when I'm not eagerly looking for symptoms. I also feel ravenous but then sick and bloated when I eat, but that can be easily explained too - I'm a bit under the weather and keep overeating because I feel super hungry. 0-4 days past ovulation is too early anyway! Get yourself together, rosti...

I just want this so much. I'm sure you can all relate. This is new for me so I haven't really cultivated the patience and calmness I need to get me through yet! Didn't help that my friend popped over with his baby today before picking up his wife from work. It's the cutest and most well-behaved and happy baby ever. Sdjenskdndnsbbs

Yay, @Hopefulbunny so pleased to hear from you. So sorry to hear that you haven't had success TTC yet. 🤞That this is your month. How are you feeling about it all? Hope you are in a good place with it. Thank you, scan went well, had my '12 week' when I was just over 13 weeks and baby wouldn't stop moving around. I am now 15 weeks but still feel anxious a lot of the time. I really thought it would stop after 12 weeks but not for me. 🤷 Would love to stay in contact and keep up with how your TTC journeys are going. I can't wait to hear when you get your BFP!!! 🤞🤞🤞 Xx

@rosti I don't think any of us can offer any wisdom as I don't think the 2ww ever gets better or easier. I don't think you find any patience or calm with it I'm afraid. 🤷 Wishing you lots of luck. Will this be baby no 1 for you? when did you start TTC? Xx
