Anyone just starting the TWW..?

Hi all,

Just started the 2WW (I think) as I’m pretty sure I ovulated yesterday/today based on Flo & the bloatedness I’ve had...just wondered if anyone was at the same stage as me and how they were feeling about it all? This is TTC #1 for me xx

I think so. I think it will have started fully in a few hours. Oh well! I have an unopened pack of ov sticks so at least they won't go to waste. I might treat myself to a glass of wine tonight too!

@Mimilicious013 not much, still got all my symptoms but no BFP 😞 I'm at 11/12dpo so I think I might be out, AF is due on Saturday I think. How're things looking for you?

Those with bfps how many dpo are you? Were you getting bfns before?

Oh sorry @seven that the witch has arrived.

@penny, I developed some symptoms from 8 or 9 dpo: projectile vomiting , general nausea and backache/round ligament pain, cramping. Odd because I didn’t have any symptoms with DC1. I then tested 9dpo evening and saw the squintiest squinter, and continued to see squinters on rubbish tests until today (11 or 12 dpo), where FRER come to the rescue.

Keeping my fx for everyone else. Nothing happening here after yesterday’s BFN and the spotting, which I hope was IB on Thurs & Fri. Despite not testing today, I’m desperate to, but going to try and hold off until Wed. Xx

Yes this was first month of ttc #2 but I’m not getting carried away until af passes.
It took me about 6 months ttc #1 which I know is nothing compared to some of you. ttc is so stressful, I hope you all get your bfp’s soon Smile

Congratulations for the BFPs! Great news!

@rosieposie , the opks were really useful this month. I had a positive on the Tuesday whilst the apps were saying Friday for ovulation. Would have missed it by a day as I work away from home. My temperature increased on the Friday (missed Thursday temperature annoyingly) also EWCM nearly gone by Friday. I saw the OPK positive and booked a train home for Wednesday night! Wasn’t due back until Friday otherwise. Who knows if it’s worked, I’m 4dpo max, and af due on the 15th so quite a time to wait yet! Currently reading “the impatient woman’s guide to getting pregnant” , whilst drinking pineapple juice! I am slightly obsessed 🙈

Interesting statistic from the book- around 40% of pregnancies implant at 10dpo or later. That means for this 40%, a positive probably wouldn’t be seen until 13dpo. So an early BFN does not mean it couldn’t change over the next few days x

Hi @Happythoughts7 , I like the statistic too!
The pineapple juice is meant to help with implantation. It’s got the same chemical as baby aspirin but less intense. I am not an expert but there are lots of things on the Internet (check with a professional/ quality website too though!). Some people eat the pineapple core but that is super concentrated and you only eat it for a few days. I would speak to a doctor before taking low dose aspirin as you have to time the withdrawal from that properly. It’s not my forte, I’m just drinking the juice just in case, it also tastes good and washes down the vitamins! X

Haha @ATP100 that sounds like a book I need to read! Going to look it up now.
Ordered some One Step OPK's yesterday just in case and I've been looking into thermometers that have bluetooth and put your temp straight onto your phone. When I think about it though that's pretty lazy [sceptical] and I'm sure I could buy one for a fiver from Boots and just put it in myself.

I've seen about the pineapple on another thread I think - It's yummy so no harm done I guess!!

Feeling very crampy today, boobs are starting to hurt (maybe because i'm poking them constantly, surprised I don't have bruises) and I feel very emosh. Why do pregnancy and AF have to be so bloody similar grrr.

So happy to have found you ladies- even if it is a bit late in the day. Am 13dpo after almost two weeks of full on nausea and fatigue (with my first baby I didn't feel a thing until AF overdue- this one v different) but today got BFN. Was middle of day and I had drunk a lot of water though so really hoping it was wrong. AF due Wednesday and cannot decide when to use my two remaining tests! Smile

I braved up and bought my first ever test last night but haven’t done it yet. Is FMU the way to go?

@daisy, it's been really confusing for me. one minute l feel like af is imminent the next l get preg symptoms. l am 12/13 dpo, so not long to wait but time is moving ever so slowly haha .today I have nausea and I feel like using the loo so often grrrr.

where is everyone in their cycle and what are your symptoms? ?

Well I caved and tested on an IB this morning and got another BFN Sad so I don’t think I’ll bother tomorrow, and will just wait to see if AF arrives over the next few days.

It makes me sad seeing no line, and I think I’d rather just be disappointed once when/if AF comes, rather than over and over again. Flo changed my ov date so I’m either 11/12DPO, so if she doesn’t show, I’ll test on Sat. Fingers crossed for everyone else! Xx
