We started ttc again straightaway. I told select people about a month after my mc and I like the fact they know, even though it now means we're most probably ttc! We'd only told a couple of people we were ttc for the two years it took us to get the bfp. I'd rather people didn't know but, like I said, it's good to be able to talk to people about the mc if I need to.
Sorry for your loss and lots of luck x

SoozC · 20/02/2018 22:16

*told people about the mc even though it means they know we're ttc now, is what I meant!

PassTheAfterEights · 21/02/2018 10:11

@PumpkinPatch000 sorry you've had a rough few days and fx you start to feel more game soon. Look after yourself though. We started TTC immediately, no luck this month (AF arrived last night - but right on time as if it had been a normal cycle, which is something) but it gave us both a bit of comfort to feel like we were back in the driving seat (and we wanted to take advantage of any post-mc super fertile months!). As for judgement - I'm sure you wouldn't have any but if you did they can go to hell! Nobody's business but yours. x

Cakelaur · 21/02/2018 12:36

@PumpkinPatch000 we told most people around us, we found out just before xmas so we wanted to celebrate. (Plus I drink ALOT 🙈 around celebrations... so it would have been obvious!) I also told work. (I'm the owner) and I was so thankful I told them as I basically disappeared and didn't care about work for 2 weeks or so. And the girls were amazing they stepped up and ran the place like I was there. This time round everyone I guess knows. Especially work. As we'd started to plan my step back. As for people's opinions, I didn't care. We ttc straight away. We didn't catch the first month. But hoping to this month!

Claire138 · 21/02/2018 14:12

Sorry @pumpkinpatch000 you are going through a rough patch. Hope you start to feel better soon. I gave myself to my first af and then started ttc but I had a d&c and just wanted a bit more time to heal physically and emotionally. Just focus on yourself at this time and if you feel ready to start ttc you should crack on and not worry about what other people think. I only told my close family and friends that I was pregnant so only told them and work I had mmc. Found it difficult telling everyone and it’s only really now I can talk about it without being tearful.

@passtheaftereights gutted af is here but as you say it’s good you can get yourselves aligned again and know everything is ticking on time.

Just wondering if anyone has tried or is currently trying fertility acupuncture? If so, do you think it’s good? Also, my friends Mum does homeopathy and said she would have a few sessions with me...no idea what it would entail but wondering if anyone has had a go at that too?

Kingy2910 · 21/02/2018 16:22

Hi pumpkinpatch000 we hasn't told anyone we was pregnant but when I mc we had to tell everyone as we was at a wedding and I was worried about anything happening whilst there!!! I can talk about it and the more you do the more you realise how many other people have been through it. I know that's no comfort but it helped me deal with it wasn't my fault. Only yesterday someone said to me "when you going to have another " i replied "I've just had a mc and you really should think about what you say next time because you just don't know who your hurting or what their circumstances are". Well it shut her up anyway!!!! I have no idea if my cycle will be the same but we're not using any protection and just letting our bodies decide lol...... . Hope these words help I know I'm waffling on but hope you can take some comfort from us guys on here....I know I do xx

Boboelephant · 21/02/2018 17:38

Sorry to everyone who af turned up for! C'mon March!!
PumpkinPatch000 we didn't wait either. The doc told us to crack on after ERPC but didnt catch first month either. I was away from DH last month so hoping we'll still catch the super fertile 3 months and this month will be it! Ultimately it's up to you but there is no medical reason to wait after MC. I was told to wait 3 months after EP and that was torture as I was so ready to get on with it!

Boboelephant · 21/02/2018 17:39

@Claire138 I haven't tried acupuncture but have been seriously considering it!

Eastend2015 · 21/02/2018 19:42

I have done a bit of acupuncture, shiatsu and aromatherapy claire after my EP and MMC before my DS was conceived. Acupuncture wasn’t really my bag- I get a little stressed about needles! The shiatsu was lovely- it gave me some time to myself, relax and process everything i’d been through. I’d definitely recommend anything like that if it helps you relax!

SoozC · 21/02/2018 19:42

I'm having fertility acupuncture. I love it!

I've had 4 sessions, one a week, dropping down to once a fortnight now. I don't know if it was coincidence but my first session was around CD 13 and I ov'd shortly afterwards with lots of ewcm - post-mc my cycles were a week longer but after just one session they've gone back to my usual 29 days! I've just finished af and the only way I can describe it was "clean": brown gunky spotting for a day, then a nice red flow for 3 days, heavier than usual. My acupuncturist was very pleased when I told her this, she said it sounds like the lining was thicker and that I'd had a bit of a clear out! So I didn't catch this cycle but it was only my first with acupuncture (3rd post-mc), so I'm back just before ov in two weeks and who knows!

But I recommend it just for feeling good and positive afterwards; I've been grieving for three months now but after each session I've felt much happier. It's sorted out some other small issues for me to, like my waking at night.

Eastend2015 · 21/02/2018 19:44

kingy i’m a bit like that! On one hand I think people should be educated and on the other hand they should be so bloody nosey!!

Claire138 · 21/02/2018 20:31

@soozc sounds like it’s really working for you! Fingers crossed for March! I have it in my head that I have poor circulation around that area and may have been the reason for my mc (haven’t been told this but it’s my own theory). I always have cold hands and feet, low blood pressure and I have an office job so I’m not moving around as much as I naturally should be. So this is partly the reason to why I’m drawn to acupuncture.

@boboelephant I think just give it a go...can’t hurt.

@eastend2015 hope you are keeping well 🙂

SoozC · 21/02/2018 20:51

Claire - I have poor circulation too, cold feet. My acupuncturist said that's a sign of a cold uterus so has done some work to warm it up!

Claire138 · 21/02/2018 21:27

@soozc that’s the term I read about and thought that I might have. Going to get an appointment made! Thanks for sharing!

SoozC · 21/02/2018 21:46

No worries, I've become a big fan in the last month! Never had it before that

Eastend2015 · 21/02/2018 22:23

Going to bed with a hot water bottle to warm up my uterus!! Grin

SoozC · 21/02/2018 22:31

Put your feet on it, East, they're connected to your uterus by a meridian, so keep them warm and you keep your uterus warm!

Eastend2015 · 21/02/2018 22:54

Thanks sooz! Stressing about not feeling sick “enough”. I hope you lot don’t mind me hanging out here, I don’t have the confidence for the pregnancy threads 😳

Llondbol · 22/02/2018 08:43

Hang out here with us @SoozC - I love this thread, it's kept me doing these past few weeks 😊

Started measuring BBT once I got my BFN after the D&C and we've got straight back on the wagon! I need to put my energy into TTC again to keep me going - I know ideally you wait for one cycle so they can date you but I'll worry about that if I'm lucky enough to get pregnant quickly. We had a good go at it around ovulation!! I'm 7dpo and my temps are so similar to when I got my BFP and I've had watery gushes of CM (TMI sorry!) which I also had last time, so I'm secretly thinking we're pregnant again trying not to get my hopes up but it's kinda nice to be feeling so positive after so many weeks of worry and sadness. Anyone else's AF due on Monday? X

Boboelephant · 22/02/2018 08:54

@SoozC you sold me! I've sent an enquiry to a lady near me. Will keep you all updated. @Claire138 let's do it!!
@Eastend2015 hang out as long as you want. Hoping I'll be joining you as a scared but excited soon! Have you got your 6 week scan booked?
@Llondbol ooh sounds promising! Fingers crossed for you! If it helps the doc at the epu told me not to worry about the dating thing. She said it's easy for them to date as soon as they do a scan and they'll use your erpc as a rough date before that. So no dramas!
On cd8 here and about to start SMEP. Although I am aware that my cycles are like 33 days so it'll be a long lead up to ov day which is probably still 12 days away!! Wish me luck...and energy! 🤣

Llondbol · 22/02/2018 08:56

Oops I meant hang out here @Eastend2015 x

Eastend2015 · 22/02/2018 09:09

Thanks ladies! Yes bobo next weds. Feels like an eternity!!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 22/02/2018 09:41

@Eastend2015 Hang around here ^^ I bloody refuse to join any pregnancy boards atm. I cba to even take a look into 'our month' one as I just know that they'll be some people who in these early stages I'll just want to kick in the head right now (bit harsh?)

I'm trying to not achknowledge anything until our scan but I'm also bricking it

Eastend2015 · 22/02/2018 09:45

Hello unicorns yes same!!!! Lol. You have a scan on weds too don’t you? How are symptoms or shouldn’t I ask?!

SuzieBa · 22/02/2018 10:25

Hi ladies, so as I mentioned I miscarried on 21/1/2018 in 5.5 weeks. I did a test when bleeding stop and it was negative. So we started trying again. I did test week ago and it was negative. Yesterday I did a test from poundland and this morning too. There were very faint positives. I thought I just made it up that there is something. But then I decided to take Clearblue digital to be clear. And it was BFP. I'm happy but also very worried. I hope it will last as the pregnancy symptoms are already kicking in (I started noticing them a week ago). Fingers crossed for you ladies. Lots of love :)
