Hi everyone, I hope it's ok for me to join. Just waiting for first AF since MMC then going to start trying next cycle. So sorry to hear everyone is going through the same thing but grateful to have this thread too. xx

Eastend2015 · 18/02/2018 21:09

@bobo I’m doing ok thanks. Symptoms beginning to kick in, never been so grateful to feel dreadful! Still feels like ages til I can get a scan! How are you doing?

@primrose yes def a thing! In terms of biology, say your partner has totally healthy dna and you don’t, because both of you dna are coming together, you should have 50% healthy child vs 50% not. If like me, you have a condition carried on the X chromosome, a boy would only have the possibility of being unhealthy (which could cause miscarriage) or healthy like my DS. A girl however could be unhealthy (but be a carrier like me because they have any X chromosome to compensate for the faulty one) or totally healthy. The geneticist I saw said also some peaople can just be more likely to carry boys or girls, so if I am more likely to carry boys, then than could explain my multiple losses.

Martydog · 18/02/2018 21:14

@dulwichdays my cycles are a little shorter 28 days rather than 31, but now I get a day or 2 spotting then 2 days of af. It used to be just 3 days of af.

Star88 · 18/02/2018 21:30

Anyone else have slight pain during ovulation since mc?! Not sure if I'm just being hypersensitive?

Cakelaur · 18/02/2018 23:25

@peachesarenom I dunno where you're based but our pup comes from the most amazing breaded. She does New foundlands and st Bernards. She called "Our fair view" but they're both about the same size. 😁

@Patienceofatoddler thanks. Been waiting for a puppy my whole life. So excited for him coming home in a couple months. Fingers crossed the witch stays away and you be your bfp!!

@Primrose16 oh man!! That sounds horrific!!! There's no sign or the witch letting up!!! I'd be done normally!!! 😞 I hope it gets better. How many cycles since mc are you??

@Llondbol I'm totally the same!! I'm totally fixated on being in second trimester now. The whole year was planned around the last pregnancy. so every fun event/ holiday we have planned has an air of sadness!! I'm a month to the day since my erpc and I struggle even now especially since af arrived on Friday!!! Hoping it gets easier!!

@Star88 I did have ov pain this month. First ov since erpc and first time ever!!

Boboelephant · 19/02/2018 06:26

@Eastend2015 glad to hear things are going well. Yea i can imagine I'll be relieved to feel dreadful too when it happens! Are you having a scan at 6 weeks?
Yeah I'm ok. Feels like ages since we've tried with the month off and long cycles so fingers crossed for this month. Should ovulate in 2 weeks bit still hoping it might be earlier this month with the seed cycling. 🤞🤞

xLeanne128 · 19/02/2018 08:36

@star88 everything seems much more sensitive to me. First cycle after mc. Had cramps for nearly 2 weeks and last 2 days my ovaries have felt sore. Never had anything like this so I'm presuming it's MC related x

weasledee · 19/02/2018 08:54

I'm out! AF had arrived!
So back to "day 1" Confused

Lovemysparkle · 19/02/2018 09:04

Morning all sorry for all of you dealing with uncertainty after mc it’s such a head f**k it feels like Mother Nature is dangling a carrot & then snatching it away hugs for you all & the waiting & not knowing is the worst bit & we can’t do sod all about it!!
Huge hugs for all of you who has got af silly witch really kicks us when we’re down 😡
I’m in the last week of the dreaded 2ww have had weekly acupuncture & tried smep this cycle, have got sore boobs (normal for me after mc!!) and back ache & tummy pains again all normal for me, it all feels a bit more exaggerated not sure if that’s the acupuncture as I felt more around ovulation??? I’m not really that positive to be honest as me & dp are going through stress for every corner of our life😱😱

Hortonlovesahoo · 19/02/2018 10:50

Girls, i've had the most horrid weekend. I'm 2 weeks post D&C and i've had the most horrid hormonal surges and feelings. I've been going between crying for absolutely no reason, getting so irrationally angry and in general just feeling like i'm not sure if i'm coming or going. Is this normal?

dulwichdays · 19/02/2018 11:05

Yes! I was exactly the same 2 weeks post D&C. Be kind to yourself and give yourself time to recover. Curl up with a duvet and box set. Try to remember it will get better and do whatever you need too to get through this x

Hortonlovesahoo · 19/02/2018 11:24

@Dulwichdays - i'm so glad that this has happened to someone else as I honestly thought I was going crazy. I can't really curl up on the sofa with a 2 year old running around but i'm trying to take it a little easier.

Thank you for making me feel 'normal'!

dulwichdays · 19/02/2018 11:33

@hortonlovesahoo - you’re welcome. Sorry I hadn’t realised you had a little one to look after a well. Definitely try and cut yourself a bit of slack. I think it really helps me to know that other people are here that can answer our questions, especially as we’re all at slightly different stages and can reach out for advice when we’re unsure

Claire138 · 19/02/2018 12:08

Aw sorry @weasledee I took a test yesterday (9dpo) and it was a bfn. I know it’s still early but feel very unpregnant so think I’m out this month too!

@cakelaur love love your puppy! We got a cockapoo puppy 4 weeks after my mmc and she has been great! She has definitely kept my mind from going completely crazy!

Cakelaur · 19/02/2018 12:35

@Hortonlovesahoo so sorry you feel shitty. I felt that exact same way. And still do occasionally. Any time I'm alone, I just cry and become angry and bitter and sad and mean all in one go. My poor OH must be fed up. But I think it is totally normal, cos it's just your hormones being all over the place.

@Lovemysparkle 🤞 for your last few days. When are you gonna test?

@Claire138 a cockapoo😍 CUTE!! Yes it's a much needed distraction. And now I obsess over picture of the puppy and planing his arrival in a couple of months, rather than obsessing about opks and hpts and bbt etc. So massively grateful he was born Saturday morning. It totally took the stress out of AF showing up on Friday!! 🤞you get your bfp this month.

Boboelephant · 19/02/2018 12:37

Sorry to hear @weasledee. You can join us on the March bfp train. I've decided it's happening for all of us still waiting!! 🤞🤞
@Lovemysparkle good luck to you! Hope the stress dies down a bit.
@Hortonlovesahoo sorry that sounds so tough! Hope the hormones calm down. Try and rest- although I know that's almost impossible with a two year old! 🤣
Good luck to everyone in the 2ww!!
Fingers crossed @Claire138!

Lovemysparkle · 19/02/2018 12:46

I always vowed after my cp that I wouldn’t test early but on advice of professor the sooner I can test the better as I would have to go straight to see him to be given meds!!
My cycle is pretty stable at 26 days so if we haven’t been successful then af will be here Friday 😭 28 days would be Sunday!!
My head is saying maybe try Wednesday but my heart is saying bury my head up my arse as a bfn is a killer!! When do you think I should test???

Hortonlovesahoo · 19/02/2018 12:53

@claire138: What a cute puppy!

@lovemysparkle: I'd wait it out if you can. I was so disappointed and ancy when i tested early and there was this 'faint' line.

@boboelephant: Yep, i'm fortunate that she still has a nap so i get a little break midday!

Thank you for the support girls!

Kingy2910 · 19/02/2018 13:24

Hi ladies I'm still lingering in the back ground. I never know what to write to you all if I'm honest. I know it's somewhere to go to and vent and also the community on here amazes me every day. I think you are all so so strong and I am truly thankful for this thread. I am sorry for those of you that have got bfn (I don't even know what this stands for except negative) and will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you next month and hope there's going to be a flurry of Christmas babies for You!!!

Primrose16 · 19/02/2018 16:49

I think I am going to disappoint/upset myself if this doesn’t happen, but ah well- needs must. Going to really crack on with this ttc malarkey. So I’m not using temp or ovulation tests. What’s the best way to do this 💪🏻

dulwichdays · 19/02/2018 17:01

Its now 4 weeks since finding out about my MC and almost 4 weeks since my D&C. I’ve had weird symptoms these last few days and today I’ve been nauseous all day. I’m trying to put it down to a bug.
I normally have a 28 day cycle (pre MC) which would be due on Wednesday.
Do I do a test, and if so when do you think?
I know it’s highly likely that its my hormones regulating and nothing more - but it’s driving me crazy and messing with my head!!

Boboelephant · 19/02/2018 17:31

Tough one @Lovemysparkle! Maybe compromise and test Thursday?
Love the naps @Hortonlovesahoo! My DS does too and it's a welcome sit down! 😆
Fingers crossed for you too @Kingy2910. BFN/BFP= big fat negative/positive.
Good luck @Primrose16. I'm trying opks and SMEP this month. Also looking at foods to eat when trying to conceive and might do acupuncture.
Ooh @dulwichdays!! I so hope it's a bfp for you! Unfortunately for me I got lots of odd symptoms including nausea after my ERPC and they turned out to be af. So I would totally test!!! But you have to decide whether you'd rather know now and possibly be disappointed or keep hoping? Fingers crossed for you!

Primrose16 · 19/02/2018 17:43

@dulwichdays hard to say. I’d be more inclined to wait until Wednesday if that’s when AF should be due. I hope the sickness is a positive sign

Primrose16 · 19/02/2018 17:44

SMEP is that just doing it like bunnies?

Primrose16 · 19/02/2018 17:46

@lovemysparkle so so hard. Like you say BFN is bloody horrible but if we are thinking positive and you need support best to know.
