@Boboelephant I did SMEP last month with no luck. Hopefully you'll have better luck! I'm dtd every other day from CD8 for two weeks (can't use opks for two cycles because of clearblue clinical trial)

peachesarenom · 19/02/2018 17:57

I feel exactly the same way Kingy2910!

Yes Primrose16 my GP said don't wait for fertile week, DTD every other day as it makes the environment more welcoming!

Boboelephant · 19/02/2018 18:05

Haha basically @Primrose16! You start dtd on cd8 and do it every other day. Start using opks cd10- as soon as you get positive opk, dtd that day, next day and one after that. Then rest day, then one more day! I think the idea is to cover your bases if you ov earlier or later than you think do Theres always some fresh swimmers!
Sorry it didn't work for you @DaisyMay25. I really hope it does for us. I need some good news after 18 months of this crap! Hope you get yours too!

Martydog · 19/02/2018 18:35

Af arrived today I was trying to convince myself it was implantation bleeding yesterday but there's no chance today. So that's the next cycle starting again. 😡

Primrose16 · 19/02/2018 18:40

Sorry @martydog 😢

Do I have the energy for this SMEG! 🤔 Had my niece and nephew plus my own little one today. Going to take a miracle to dtd tonight.

Kingy2910 · 19/02/2018 19:11

Thanks bobo....I'm so pants at this text speak. Good advice out there tonight ladies I'm just wondering if I can be bothered to dtd every other day hhhmmmmm....will find out I guess hahaha. I'm hoping my cycle is still the same but I guess I won't know until af arrives. To be honest i haven't worked that out. Do I go from the actual day I mc or go back a few months and work it from there????

Lovemysparkle · 19/02/2018 21:23

Thank you for all your input ladies 👍🏼 I’m trying to have pma & majorly clutching at straws with the 2 big boils come up on my cheek & chin!!! I usually get a bit of a break out around ovulation & the last few months have had fairly clear skin probably Mother Nature dangling that carrot again!! I think I will bury my head up my butt at least until Thursday (if I can!!)

Hopefulbunny · 19/02/2018 21:28

Hi ladies,

So I've been having some brown spotting from around 10dpo not to sure when AF is due but should be very soon ( cycles still messed up since early miscarriage in Nov) Is spotting common after miscarriage? I had rather hoped it might be implantation but really don't think so now.

Hope you are all okay.

Boboelephant · 19/02/2018 21:32

Sorry @Martydog!
@Primrose16 maybe tomorrow? What day are you? I think as long as you try and dtd regularly. Just do what you can!
@Kingy2910 you'll get there. I've clearly been around too long so got the lingo sorted. 😭 I had ERPC so counted that as day 1.
@Lovemysparkle 🤞🤞

Primrose16 · 19/02/2018 21:41

@boboelephant I’m on cd 10

Boboelephant · 19/02/2018 21:46

@Primrose16 if you want to try SMEP you could probably still crack on. I'd just start from tomorrow and start using the opks tomorrow too.

Primrose16 · 19/02/2018 22:21

I don’t have any opk- I gave up my Amazon prime membership. Silly me

dulwichdays · 20/02/2018 08:00

In the interest of honesty - I took a test and it’s negative. Still waiting on AF, have no definite answer on when I ovulated this month so no real idea when to expect and was basing it all on pre-MC cycles.
A little upset to be honest - hoped that I’d be one of those that made use of the super fertility cape!

Patienceofatoddler · 20/02/2018 09:48

Eurgh so AF just turned up.

The only saving grace is my period seems to be the last two cycles since MC in tune to a 28-30 day cycle so il take a small amount of relief in that and enjoy a large glass of wine tonight.

Cakelaur · 20/02/2018 11:45

@dulwichdays sorry babe! That super fertile cape didn't work for me either!! But I also feel ALOT better emotionally since AF has come. I think my hormones have levelled out and the black cloud has lifted. So in a weird way I'm kinda glad that I'm actually starting from normal emotional state. BUT having said this. The witch hasn't arrived for you yet. So you could have ovulated late. Mine was about 4 days late after MC.

@Patienceofatoddler I felt weirdly relieved when my AF came. I was petrified of her showing but now i feel good and ready to jump on the TTC train again! I also spent the weekend drinking!! Haha

Claire138 · 20/02/2018 12:20

@dulwichdays I’m in the same boat currently. Took a test on Sunday (bfn) and I think my af is due some stage this weekend. Not sure when as my first af after mc was about 4 days late so unsure if my cycle will be the same or be closer to what it was pre mc. I too was so hopeful for the fertility cape! I am thinking about trying SMEP next month and possibly acupuncture. I suppose we’re not out until af shows but I feel so unpregnant ☹️

Sorry girls whose af just turned up! Hopefully March will be our month!

dulwichdays · 20/02/2018 13:18

@Cakelaur thanks that’s good to know that you feel better since AF. I’d just like to know when it’s coming - I used to be regular and now I feel like I’ve got no idea what’s going on!

And it’s possible I ovulated late but again I’ve got no idea - I thought it was about the same time but who f*cking knows! I hate all the uncertainty and what ifs that are coursing through my brain.

@Claire138 it’s nice to know I’m not the only one! Fingers crossed we all get some good news soon! X

Kingy2910 · 20/02/2018 15:03

I'm in the same boat dulwichdays have No idea when/if I'll ovulate or af will show. No idea where in my cycle I could possibly so you are certainly not on your own....

Star88 · 20/02/2018 18:27

Same here @Kingy2910 and @dulwichdays I temp and according to my chart I should have done a couple of days ago. Tenderness and cm but no temp ride which is weird. Normally it's really obvious. I want my blummin cape too 😣 x

dulwichdays · 20/02/2018 19:06

@star88 I started temping after my D&C and they were all over the place so I gave up and figured I might start again after AF.

So nice to know that I’m not alone - everyone around me gets pregnancy 1st month and easy pregnancy with no complications or MC. Not that I’d wish that on anyone but can make you feel quite isolated. X

PumpkinPatch000 · 20/02/2018 20:03

Hello everyone. I haven't been online for a while as i was finding things a bit difficult. I ended up being signed off work for a week but still had pains so had another few days off. I went back to the office yesterday.

Feeling like my hormones are doing somersaults but feeling better emotionally and physically since I was last on here.

Sorry if it's been asked before but how long did you wait until you TTC again? We haven't told many people about the miscarriage but i'm scared we'll be judged if we start trying again sooner rather than later.

dulwichdays · 20/02/2018 20:18

We were relatively open with our MC - we found out at 12 weeks when we were preparing to tell everyone the good news! And to be honest it’s helped to have people know even if they do give us lots of cliches.

We started TTC as soon as everything had settled after the MC. To be honest it’s no ones business when you start trying again or if it’s too soon. If you and your partner are happy ultimate that’s all that matters.

Eastend2015 · 20/02/2018 20:45

Pumpkin we’ve been quite honest about our MCs too. After all, if you had any other sort of health worries or a death in your family you would probably tell your friends. Also I find it’s got a little easier every time I told someone- even if I get the cliches. If you think about at least 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage so very likely several of your friends will have suffered one or are likely to in future. Even with an EP- 1 in 100 is still quite high and as they can be so dangerous everyone should know the signs. We haven’t been so upfront about ttc again though, it’s a tricky line! Just said everything takes time. Generally people have given us some space knowing what we’ve been through.

Patienceofatoddler · 20/02/2018 21:02

Sorry to hear @PumpkinPatch000 and hope your feeling stronger soon.

To be honest no one knows we are TTC or we're pregnant. Which in one way helps but in others doesn't as I just feel the last 3-4 months has been a huge emotional roller coaster of emotions.

Part of me wonders if it would be easier if people knew... I have no idea.

But you start TTC as soon as your ready.

We started as soon as we could - it's what we both wanted.

Primrose16 · 20/02/2018 21:49

@pumpkinpatch we haven’t told many this time round. Not that I have a issue with people knowing it just felt strange since we wasn’t actually ‘trying’ the pregency then the loss was a shock. Plus I find it so strange just randomly telling people ‘hey I miscarried again’. I have told people I want, and if it came up.
I have slightly regretted not telling more as I am getting the questions now- ‘when are you going to have anotner’ I want to shout at them- yeah like it’s that easy!!!!
I think you have to do what’s right for you. Don’t care what others think- there is no right or wrong to grief and ttc x
