Hoping to find some lovely people who are in the same boat.

I've just failed cycle 9 onto cycle 10 and trying for number 1.

For the record I use OPK and temp - not that it helps!

This doesn't include the two private IUI and three natural cycles I tried in 2014 :(

Any one else struggling to conceive number 1??

Miserablemouse · 01/03/2018 09:22

Resisted the urge to test this morning (10dpo) and just seen a stonking BFP from someone on another thread I'm on who held off until 16dpo when AF was a day late! So I've ordered some FRERs because cheapies are doing my head in, and I'm gonna try and hold off until Monday or Tuesday when AF is actually due.

Miserablemouse · 01/03/2018 09:23

Sorry posted too soon! How is everyone doing?

LuItaliana · 01/03/2018 11:24

I've decided I'm not going to test until Monday now too hopefully we'll have good news!

Mrsjones17 · 01/03/2018 12:02

I know it’s hard but try and hang on until at least AF is due to
Avoid disappointment. Speaking as someone with lots of experience of disappointment!!

In other news another snow day for me!

Miserablemouse · 01/03/2018 12:06

I’m out Sad

Had cramps in a meeting and was hopeful it might be implantation cramps as I’m 10dpo but nope, AF has arrived in full force 5 days early. I’m gutted.

LuItaliana · 01/03/2018 12:26

Oh sorry Miserablemouse It really is shit Flowers

Miserablemouse · 01/03/2018 12:47

Thanks Lu. Kicking myself for ordering a pack of FRERs on payday yesterday because I clearly won't be needed them this cycle. Or ever.

March is my 1 year off the pill anniversary and the last chance to have a 2018 baby. I was so hopeful this month and have now had a little cry in the office toilets like a tit.

Mrsjones17 · 01/03/2018 13:29

@miserablemouse. I’m so sorry. It’s utterly shit and it’s totally ok to have a cry. Do something nice tonight x

Miserablemouse · 01/03/2018 13:43

Thanks mrs. I'm planning to wallow in self pity with a bottle of red tonight and then I need to get over myself and look forward to next month and my 27 days before ovulation

Mrsjones17 · 01/03/2018 14:05

You don’t ovulate until
Cd27?!

Miserablemouse · 01/03/2018 14:26

Yep. 41 day cycles.

Well mostly anyone. With some 16/17 day ones in there where I won't have ovulated at all.

Miserablemouse · 01/03/2018 14:27

*anyway

LuItaliana · 01/03/2018 14:30

Oh I know it's really hard to stay positive I've cried in the work toilets a few times too, enjoy your wine tonight & the FRERs wont go to waste because you'll need them for next month!

Mrsjones17 · 01/03/2018 14:35

@miserablemouse oh that’s rough. Have you seen the doctor about it? I had acupuncture which got my cycles under control. Having said that I’m still not pregnant!

Miserablemouse · 01/03/2018 14:43

Thanks everyone. You're all so kind and it's nice to have people to talk to about this.

I did call the doctors in November because I didn't think I'd been ovulating at all since the March and they did "day 21" bloods that confirmed I hadn't ovulated that month, but my cycles are still irregular so it's hard to know if I had the bloods done on the right day. They did them before the 1 year mark as a kind of favour because I carry a genetic condition with a 50% chance of any embryo not surviving, so probably will have some early miscarriages and will have to have CVS/amnio if I make it that far. Not that they're related, but since I'm likely to struggle once I get pregnant I think he thought doing the bloods would put my mind at ease about actually getting pregnant in the first place, but obviously it did the opposite!

They won't do anything else until it's been a year which is totally fair. Which is now I guess. But I'm gonna leave it another couple of months.

RANT OVER. How is everyone doing today?

LuItaliana · 01/03/2018 15:07

Oh I found the one year mark quite hard, although it is the point when you can start other investigations with the Dr which can be positive because at least you feel like you are actually doing something.
TBH the conception board has helped keep me sane(ish) because even though friends/family are empathetic I think you really can't understand it unless you've been through it & understand how crazy it can make you!

thisisouryrfx18 · 01/03/2018 17:24

Soo sorry miserablemouse tell OH u need a hugFlowersx try and enjoy ur wine i know its bittersweet!

thisisouryrfx18 · 01/03/2018 17:25

Mrsjones17 snow day for me too least we got something to cheer us up

Mrsjones17 · 02/03/2018 09:03

@miserablemouse that’s really frustrating!

In some ways I’ve found the conception boards helps to vent and find others that’s are find it hard but then I don’t know if it helps mental health as it’s all or nothing. It’s either doom and gloom from the likes of me who are finding it so hard with no real reason or people with BFP on first cycle and not much in between!

Miserablemouse · 02/03/2018 10:05

I take my hat off to all of you on over a year. It's so embarrassing to be losing my marbles over a blood period (pun intended ha) when it's only just been a year. Literally got home from work last night, got into bed and cried. Poor DH had to give me a cuddle and bring me a cup of tea to coax me out from under the covers!

True about being able to have more tests being positive. I'm thinking I'm not going to order any of the extra supplements or replacement OPKs in my Amazon basket, have a relaxed March and focus on losing a little weight (BMI is 26 so I'm not hugely overweight but could definitely do with shedding half a stone or so), delete Flo for a month and then see the doctor in April.

Anyway I have been VERY self obsessed on this thread lately.
Lu have you tested again yet or are you managing to hold off?

Lilly & mrsjones are you approaching FW again now?

thisisouryr have you been temped to test at all yet? How long is it since you ovulated?

squidgebum how are you doing? Are you in FW yet?

Fingers crossed for you all xxx

SqidgeBum · 02/03/2018 10:15

Yes I am in my FW now. Loosely following the SMEP (I am prone to UTIs so may skip one day of the the 3 day romp at the end). I am going to test for ovulation from today (CD13). I usually ovulate on day 16. I am also using preseed and taking EPO so fingers crossed. I am trying to keep relaxed this month too, not pee on so many sticks, not get my hopes up. I started yoga again too for my own mental health. it has helped. I guess in the TTC mania its easy forget to look after ourselves. Take a month for you Miserablemouse, and let DH take care of you.
