A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement.

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shall not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shall not be offended by strong language

• Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

• Thou shall not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if they do so.

Bubble, that is weird they should become a bit screwy. Hopefully someone will be able to give you answers. Our bodies are ridiculous, are they not? I'd say stock up on the and chocolate for next weekend just in case xx

Weird cm just now. Kind of watery but also a bit lotion-y. Haven't the foggiest about that one. Probably a yeast infection. lucky me

I use Ovia and Clue- find they’re about a day or two different to each other when predicting FW and af. After a break of a few months I’m going to use opks next month. Af arrived this morning with some nice cramps for my yoga class after 3 shitty nights of night sweats. That means last cycle was only 26 days. Does that mean my day 21 bloods are wrong?

Sorry about AF lexie - good for you for going ahead with your class though! Have you had the results yet? The 21-day test is to check progesterone for ovulation, so guess if it seems low/borderline then maybe check with the GP about whether you should redo it?

bubblegum hope the consultant has some answers - must be so frustrating. Am with you on testing, just wait for AF to rock up (which it's due to do any day...fucker...)

I use Clue - haven't tried the others, but does the job for me and quite like the layout. I take the predictions on specific day for ovulation, etc with a pinch of salt...

It’s just so damn frustrating. Like ttc wasn’t hard enough without adding more crap on top of it. And Sooz every time you mention a symptom, I notice I have it too haha I’ve got watery but lotiony cm too. I know I’m not pregnant though, I don’t know how I know (apart from the previous 14 failed months) but I just do. I’m keeping everything crossed for you!

We are on month 6 of properly trying now. Really didn't want to step over into the 7 month mark

Anyway, fingers crossed for this month, I'm on CD9, so not even ovulating yet but feeling positive.
We dtd last night anyway.
I think O is due mid-end of next week.

I'm getting weird left sided pain which I think might be a cyst, I can't be sure. If it continues I'll go to my GP. It's sort of groin/lower abdo/pelvic area. Feels sore and tender to touch...which is unusual. Almost like something is inflamed in there.
It can't be my appendix because it's the wrong side!
No pain with sex.

@sooz and @bubblegum I never test anymore, not even if af is a day or so late. I just can’t stand to see the stark white test window anymore. A colleague, and another friend have both just announced pregnancies. Both are due just after my due date would have been had I not had the mc.

Pretty sure I’m out for this month, 7dpo and not a single tww symptom going.

More faint nausea today (went to a street food market so probably just the smells mingling together) and more odd cm. No spotting yet but I'm sure that's to come. Cramping never really kicked in though. Sharp pain in side of right boob for a minute or so.

Any more of those sound familiar, Bubble?

I will just say that I had lunch with a friend who's 15 weeks and I managed to be completely happy for her. So even if my body lets me down this month I'm pleased to know it's not turned me into a horrible person (despite what some intruders people may say)!

Oh, and chocolate flapjack?! Yummmmmmmm!

@milk I’m more concerned that I have none of my usual tww symptoms that signal my progesterone has gone up. Could be masked by this cold I have. The flapjack sounds yummy.

@Bubblegum89 Thank you for this excellent, and somehow life affirming, thread. I have lurked on previous ones and now turning my mind to TTC again after MC. Fingers crossed for everyone!

Twinge, twinge, twinge...

Migraine. Cold like symptoms. Abundance of lotiony/watery cm....MUST. STOP. SYMPTOM.SPOTTING.

Looking, I fear that is a futile wish! I, too, have had the cm. How many dpo are you?

Well I'm utterly depressed. Early December I went to the GP about various unrelated things that I wanted to ask (tiredness, stabbing twinges in uterus since miscarriage last year, bloating, back ache amongst others), and she was pretty chilled about it all, but said she'd refer me for a scan to check all was ok inside after my miscarriage etc. Said it would be about 2 weeks, as they usually scan quickly. Still no sign of an appointment over a month later, and some of the things I'd mentioned to her are getting worse (more twinges etc), so I foolishly FOOLISHLY googled the symptoms I'm getting, and guess what comes up? A list of ovarian cancer symptoms. Of which I have like, 8.

So now I'm freaking out (although I know it's stupid, because google is not a doctor, and chances are so so slim that it is any kind of cancer), and will be phoning first thing on Monday to say WHERE'S MY FLIPPIN' SCAN??

And at least it's taken my mind of pregnancy symptom spotting. Now I'm bloody cancer symptom spotting ... (sob)

Oh, New, that is such a dreadful worry to have. I hope your badgering on Monday produces results and I wish you every luck it is nothing severe and is something completely minor and treatable xx

Thing is, I'm so sure it's going to be something totally embarrassing like, they'll scan me and say "yeah, you've just got a whole load of trapped gas, stop wasting our time", but now I actually want to go to that embarrassing appointment just to put my mind at ease! I absolutely 100% should not have googled. I'm quitting google.

(except of course to check if something is an early pregnancy symptom, of course . "is an itchy left eye a sign of early pregnancy" etc...)

@SoozC. I think I'm 8. I've had a few on and off cramps this evening. I never normally get cramps pre af but there's always a first time! I've been telling myself all week that it's not going to happen this month! But I suppose we never really know that.

No nausea here Sooz but I burst into tears when I saw to horses in a field cuddling with their heads together to keep warm. That’s a pregnancy symptom right?? Haha. My boobs are so freaking sore, I can’t cope with another week of this 😩

New I suffer with bad health anxiety and hypochondria and I used to google everything! I joined a forum full of people like me but many of them on there had beaten their anxieties and they said that the algorithm of search engines when you google symptoms is for them to give you worst case scenario and cancer is the main thing that will come up for anything. Their counsellors told them never to google because of that. I’m sure you’re fine, try not to worry too much. There’s lots of much less serious reasons for your symptoms. Coming from someone who has “had” about twelve different types of cancer, a brain tumour, heart attack, aneurysms... I’m still alive despite google telling me numerous times I’m dying!

Day 5 past MC my first ever pregnancy @ 7+2 - feeling blue. TTC For 4 months before BFP. Using Natural Cycles app. Had suboptimal HCG levels this pregnancy (tested for some pain over Xmas) but saw little maggot and heart beating 6 days before the bleeding started. Desperate for this bit to be over so we can start trying again, the wanting feeling hasn't gone away looking forward to sharing the journey with you lovely ladies ❤️

I just did a frer. What is wrong with me? I knew what the answer would be. Totally pissed off now. I just want some good luck for a change. You'd think in two years I'd be due more good luck than one bfp with a mc. Sorry guys, just sick of waiting for af month after month.
