A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement.

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shall not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shall not be offended by strong language

• Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

• Thou shall not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if they do so.

My boobs are very sore, but seeing as I'm definitely not symptom spotting this month, it must just be a pre-AF thing... I kinda wish I could remember what symptoms I actually got when I was pregnant last year, then I'd know what to actually take seriously. But as I say, definitely not spotting any symptoms this cycle anyway...

Maybe no symptoms is a good thing though? Got my fingers crossed for you! (and my toes)

This is probably going to sound dumb but bare with me...

I’ve always had 28 day cycles. So regular that I could time it to within a few hours. They’ve never changed even when coming off/going on to birth control. Then in September this year, I was late by about 4 days. I never took a test because I couldn’t face it. I bled the most i had bled in a period for a long time (and haven’t bled that much since) although I wouldn’t say it was gushing, more of a heavy/medium flow as opposed to medium/light for the first day. Since then, my cycles have been all over the place. I’m wondering what the possibility could be that I had a chemical? I don’t know much about them tbh and I’m trying to wrack my brain for a reason for my random change in my cycle that’s making them irregular. That along with the slightly heavier bleed made me wonder. I guess it’s possible but I don’t know if a chemical can even alter your cycle. The sudden change is bugging me so much. Can’t cope with the “well as long as they’re not too irregular” answer that I got off the fertility consultant. NO I WANT TO KNOW WHY!!

I'm fucked off. We've basically knackered ourselves out this month shagging every other day (missed one shag out just post fertile week)

I'm due on next week (on my birthday - yay.) and already my boobs hurt and I have all the signs of af approaching.

I'm another year older knocking on the door of 40. I'm starting to think it's never going to happen

@Steaksauce. I think that's the most annoying part! You have so much sex, even when you're really not in the mood or you're shattered and nothing! You feel like getting in there and giving them a bloody road map lol.

Just waiting for flo's arrival. I can set my watch by it - in a few hours I will be spotting and by morning she will be here. My stomachs already gone tight like I need a bm.

I need talking down from the POAS ledge...sore boobs and twinges in lower tummy, af due Tuesday and I'm trying to hold out until Sunday at least (12dpo). As someone who got her last bfp (mc) at 3 days late you think I'd know better!

Af has arrived a day early so out for another month.

Steak it’s so shit isn’t it. I came on on Christmas Day with the worst cramps I’ve had in the whole time I’ve been ttc. Typical. And I feel you, I’ve had all the signs af is coming too. I’m due either this weekend or Monday. Boobs have been sore, cramps and creamy cm. I’m so fed up. Sending hugs and hoping af stays away for you!

Ugh. Pink cm when I just went to the toilet. I knew I was out anyway but still. This sucks.

@steaksauce I know that feeling. We’ve timed everything right for the last 3 months and nothing. So, so frustrating. TTC should be used as a torture technique.

I'm at about the right time for my word pink tinged cm that comes about 3-4 days before AF and then disappears again. I usually get one single glimpse of it, and that's the clue AF is coming in a few days. Is that what others get too?

So I'm here scrutinising every piece of toilet paper I use for any hint of pink, just so I can count myself as out and stop waiting. I've developed weird hobbies in all this ttc crap. Never thought I'd be so obsessed with toilet paper. My husband nearly picked up a pack of coloured loo rolls the other day and I was like "what are you doing?!! It HAS to be white! I can't see properly on blue or peach!"

NewSense 😂 sounds like me. Never looked at toilet paper after I’ve been for a wee before I started ttc. I’ve got a really upset stomach this evening which happened last month and af showed up a few hours later. I’ve decided if I’m not pregnant by March (can’t ttc Feb due to having tests) which is very very likely, I’m going to book a holiday because no way in hell am I holding anything off this year “just in case”

There are loads of BFP's popping up on MN and it's really lovely but I keep thinking to myself that if they are getting them then I must be out. I know that's silly.
