Thought I'd start a new bus if that's okay as the Jan bus is getting quite full and I'm out of the loop.

I have to say I'm fed up of this- we're using CBFM, softcups and preseed.

I don't know about anyone but me and DP are thoroughly fed up of having sex right now!! Although we're keeping it fun- to a degree. I wouldn't say we're dtd nearly enough this FW!

Im totally obsessing, was convinced i was pg until af arrived this time. Despite pcos cycles had been 26-31 days max the last 6 months, ended up being 36 days this month. Had fertility treatment on my twins and dont want to go that route again so it may never happen for us. Promised dh i wouldn't obsess, not doing so well on that bit!

I am obsessing too! I'm used to being able to get whatever I want if I work hard so not being in control is a new experience for me and soooo frustrating! Been trying since the summer and was doing okay until now but it has suddenly hit me. Two friends have announced their pregnancies to me in the past three days and I didn't expect it to feel like this! Arghhh! It's so annoying how this ttc suddenly takes over your life and messes with your head!! Was using fertility friend and temping/opks but I'm going to try to take a break from charting this month for the sake of my sanity and just try to dtd every other day... Had a blood test yester (managed to persuade GP) so am dying to get results back!

Argh so confused and annoyed!! I just did another ic opk as I was so weirded out by my lack of bbt rise after previous +opk (I always have a v clear bbt shift post O) - and lo and behold now I have a raging +opk on cd 25! I guess that would explain the load of EWCM I had yesterday and day before.. why are bodies so confusing?!

DD is 13 months
I'd been told to wait 12 months after c section before getting pregnant so had been excitedly waiting for December. This is my 1st cycle- like others can't believe how obsessed I am already had a twinge or 2 today but most likely as it was my first day back at work in a hospital it's a physical job so the twinges were most likely my c section scar aching from the positions my body was in! I think I ovulated 28th. Af due 12th jan was planning to test the 9th but no doubt I'll do one the 8th and be disappointed!

I'm obsessing a bit too! Trying to be relaxed, I'm not temping or using OPKs yet. I'm checking on these forums a lot though. :P I've found the New Year a bit tricky, well meaning people asking what I'm hoping for in 2018. I want to tell them how much I'm hoping to have a baby, but I can't. So I'll just vent here!

Can I join please? I'm 29 (30 in a few months) and ttc #1. I'm on CD 14 of cycle 2. I have very low hopes for this cycle as OH has rotten cold and awful tummy upset yesterday and today. We managed BD on CD 12 but nothing since. I'm so invested in conceiving and am trying not to sound like a nut to my OH.

AF due 17 jan so fingers crossed if not this cycle then we can be more 'productive' next month.

@mrso28 yeah it would defo be nice to be due in September just after the 6 week hols!! Can't see it happening though :( my cycle is shot whacky atm and I'm pretty sure I haven't ovulated yet/not going to I'm 9 days away from my period according to Flo so we shall see FX. Have had symptoms too but could be AF on the way! Goodluck to you too, xx

@LowanBehold looks like we are, you're just a day behind me! I'm not sure when to expect AF though, I only got periods back after 1.5 years of not having them (hypothalamic amenorrhoea). My first cycle was 28 days but only a 9 day luteal phase and the next cycle was chemical pg, so I don't have much to go by to judge when AF/BFP can be expected. I'm hoping my cycle will still be 28 days but my LP will have lengthened now I got my positive OPK yesterday. How many dpo do you usually hold off until to test?

@nk1605 I'm a total poas addict, I want to try and hold off until the CBFM tells me to test that really won't happen though so I'll aim for 10dpo! Really going to try and not buy any tests though

Cycle #3. 3rd cycle (all have been exactly 28 days so far) since having baby #1 (born 23rd Nov. 2016) which took nearly 18 months to conceive

My fertile week is 9-14 Jan and DH is out of town for work 9-12 Jan ! So much for trying SMEP method. I should take time off work and travel with him as the holidays have left us both drained. Hoping to BD morning of the 9th, as soon as he arrives home on the 12th, then the 13th, 14th, 15th. I believe ovulation will happen on the 12th for me so I should probably just hop on the Feb bus. I'm just already starting to feel hopeless!

I just learned about it last month on the December bus. It's called Sperm Meets Egg Plan. I copied the below from Google:

In order to ensure sperm and egg meet, you will “try” every other day starting on the eighth day of your cycle. The timing of this is based on how long sperm live, realistically a few days under ideal conditions. On the tenth day of your cycle you will begin daily testing with OPKs (ovulation prediction kits) and upon receiving a positive OPK you will “try” 3 more days in a row. Skip one day and give it one more try.

I do need to buy some OPK's. I've never used them before and just assumed that since my cycles are always 28 days I ovulate on day 14. I've never been good about DTD at the right time or enough times during my fertility week but thought I'd really do it by the book this cycle. Looks like I'll just have to work with what I've got and hope luck is on my side!

I'm following smep as far as possible this month too. It worked for me last cycle, unfortunately ended early mc but at least it made sure we got the timing right. Only thing this time round is we're only dtd day of positive OPK and day after. So whether or not it will work I don't know 🤔

BFP/ AF due 19/1/17

Cycles are still a bit of a mystery. Not sure I’ve ovulated yet this month though Ovia reckons I should have :/ using CB OPKs but only flashing smilies so far. Hoping a peak turns up soon.

I've been using Natural Cycles since the summer and flicked from "contraception" to "TTC" in November. Bit worried as it told me the last cycle was anovulatory but I'm not sure how it figures that out. I have some OPKs and been using them when the app instructs but not sure if you have to be careful about time of day or not??

@NelleB I'm just a little bummed about DH and my schedule always seems to be off. He does travel for work a lot and I've asked him if there's anyway he can go the following week but because it is a conference he cannot. And I cannot go with him as I've got a class starting on the 9th. I'm going to try preseed morning of the 9th. I conceived DD on the first try using preseed. It was after a year and a half of TTC her so I feel good about using it again though the days just aren't ideal. Hopefully it'll help the little swimmers get to the right place and live long enough until O happens.
