Thought I'd start a new bus if that's okay as the Jan bus is getting quite full and I'm out of the loop.

I'll start with me

28
cycle 7
CD 14
Peak today on CBFM so should Ov tomorrow:-)
AF due 16/1

I have to say I'm fed up of this- we're using CBFM, softcups and preseed.

I don't know about anyone but me and DP are thoroughly fed up of having sex right now!! Although we're keeping it fun- to a degree. I wouldn't say we're dtd nearly enough this FW!

I'm very envious of people who know they are in their tww! I will be cd20 tomorrow and still hoping for a positive opk! The line is faint in the morning, darker in the afternoon and then a bit fainter in.yhe evening - what's all that about?

I tested until cd21 last month and didn't get a positive opk with a cb digital. Im starting to worry that I'm not ovulating since my mmc in August:-(

LookingAtTheStars89 · 03/01/2018 23:41

the evening* sorry typo

samanthajonespr · 04/01/2018 07:46

@LookingAtTheStars89 I always get my positive OPKs mid afternoon-ish. This month it was almost there with my second wee of the day, then positive at around 3-4pm. And the day before when I tested in the morning it was almost blank! I think the concentration of the hormone fluctuates throughout the day.

GnTplease · 04/01/2018 08:53

@LookingAtTheStars89 I didn't get a positive opk for months but have been temping so was pretty sure I was ovulating based on that (plus some clear ov pains, ewcm etc). I think it's pretty easy to miss the surge so don't worry too much and maybe try temping next month if you don't get your bfp

LookingAtTheStars89 · 04/01/2018 09:56

@samanthajonespr
@GnTplease. Thanks ladies. Yeah I'm definitely going to try temping next cycle, it's once a day and you can't really get it wrong lol. We've still been regularly dtd but I wanted to get some idea if/when I am ovulating.

LowanBehold · 04/01/2018 10:21

If I'm honest I couldn't get on with temping and the ic opk. I was getting myself quite stressed about it so ended up buying the CBFM and have found it much easier- but I didn't like the expensive if it that's for sure

I bought one of those digital thermometer things that link to your phone ‘Fermometer’ tbh I had the best intentions but keep forgetting to use it.

Now 8 days late, so if af does show up I will make it a resolution to start tracking :)

whiningandwining · 04/01/2018 11:51

Is everyone using OPK's? We're on cycle 3 and currently not. I wanted to try a relaxed approach (which is NOT working!). Currently trying to DTD every other day from day 8 to day 20, which is difficult with work schedules and a non sleeping toddler.
I'm concerned that I'm already getting really stressed out and hung up and that OPKs could make me worse. How do you all find it? All advice / ideas gratefully received.

NelleB · 04/01/2018 12:04

@whiningandwining I use OPKs. I do think they work but I have become obsessed with them... plus when it doesn't look super it depressing

whiningandwining · 04/01/2018 12:22

Thanks @NelleB. Think i might see hoe this month goes, then give them a go

LookingAtTheStars89 · 04/01/2018 12:24

@whiningandwining. I am using them (now on cd 20 with no obvious positive) and they have done my nut in! I'm only using them because I wanted to roughly pin point when ovulation was because dtd every other day when you have a 35 ish day cycle is exhausting and quite honestly monotonous!

All I think I've ended up doing is dehydrating myself doing the pee holds for the opks. If I get AF this time then next cycle I'm going to pay £99 for a scan so someone else can roughly pin point when it's going to happen because I'm certainly not doing opks again all next cycle!!!

@NelleB. You're right, you do get obsessed with them and really diwnhearted when you keep getting negatives!

surreygirl1987 · 04/01/2018 12:41

@lookingatthestars89 what scan are you thinking about booking? I'm fed up of bfn month after month and am feeling ready to get some testing done but I don't really know where to start! Just had a blood test but not sure where to go from there - have you found a good private practice?

LookingAtTheStars89 · 04/01/2018 12:49

@surreygirl1987. I had a private reassurance ultrasound when I was pregnant last time and the place I had it does other scans too - kidneys, etc. They also do a women's fertility scan where they look at your ovaries/lining/uterus egg. You can pay for just that or a bit extra and have blood tests done there too. £99 isn't much when you think about how much we end up paying on tests/monitors/vitamins etc!

I don't know where abouts you are in the country but if you Google private women's scans in your area then you should be able to find something.

FruitandNutty · 04/01/2018 13:39

I’m feeling super confused still.. I thought I had O’d as had such a positive OPK and yesterday was even more positive like way darker than control. I had a temp shift yesterday but then today it was low... this has never happened to me before in the past 5 months of tracking, I’ve always had a v clear rise and O. Any thoughts as to what’s going on?

I did have that weird shadowy bfp last month that I wrote off as an evap followed by a super light, short AF. Do you think could be cp?

MrsO28 · 04/01/2018 13:53

So looks like I’m on the Feb bus. AF arrived. More gutted than I expected.

whiningandwining · 04/01/2018 14:28

Oh no @MrsO28 really sorry to hear that.

@LookingAtTheStars89 I didn't know that was something you could do. I will investigate. 35 day plus cycle must be really tough.

whiningandwining · 04/01/2018 14:29

@FruitandNutty I've never tracked temp, so not sure how to interpret that. Worth doing a test to see?!

bubblybrit · 04/01/2018 14:48

@LookingAtTheStars89. January bus thread now full so had to reply here....I didn’t know about the indent lines on the FRERs. Maybe that’s what it is then. Should have waited until Sunday anyway and then things would have been clearer either way! Silly me!! My name is bubblybrit and yes I am a poas addict!

MrsDub · 04/01/2018 14:53

@bubbly @Looking has answered my q I think, good to know re indent lines - thank you!!

[from Jan bus thread] It's faint for sure but even moving my screen there's a ghost of something? Realise I don't even know how they work - is there a defined slot the shape of the line within the test that colours up if BFP or is it the same material as surrounding the control line? As in - if there's anything there at all it's because there is a minute amount of hormone? Bet that's clear as mustard Confused - best get into that book and not overthink as you say waits with bated breath fx for you anyway xx

bubblybrit · 04/01/2018 14:53

Reposting from the previous January bus as thread now closed and looking for options please.

Picture taken within 5 minutes of taking test with a FRER (not fmu as too impatient). Still early days as AF not due until Sunday. Can anyone see anything....it is a real squinter though!

January/Feb bus
bubblybrit · 04/01/2018 14:57

@MrsDub. No idea as only found out about intent lines from @LookingAtTheStars89! Looks like the wait is on until Sunday. I’ve decided box set is best way forward as no way I’m concentrating on this book. Convinced myself there is something but trying to now think that it is this indent and nothing more. As don’t want to be disappointed on Sunday!

MrsDub · 04/01/2018 15:06

Good plan that girl. DM recommending Grace & Frankie, if you have Netflix!

BaliBound · 04/01/2018 15:12

Just had an email saying amazon have left my parcel with a neighbour. So I can poas tomorrow now. Or probably will end up doing it this evening Grin Actually I'm definitely doing it when I get home, Im impatient and this cycle has dragged.

Pretty sure its not my month I have no symptoms, which is completely normal for me pre af.

bubblybrit · 04/01/2018 15:15

@MrsDub. Ah I love Grace & Frankie! Thanks 🙂 xx

LookingAtTheStars89 · 04/01/2018 16:12

@whiningandwining. You can do anything with ££ nowadays lol. I think I would feel better if they had a look in there and said "Everything looks great" or even if they looked and said "I'm sorry but there's a problem" then at least you know where you stand.

@bubblybrit. That's probably the best way to go about it. Two cycles ago I convinced myself there was a line only to be gutted when flo showed 30 mins later lol Angry Hopefully yours is an actual line though Smile
