January Bus - New Year, New Bumps Please!

Hi all

Thought I'd start January bus as spotting has started today Sad

Here's my stats

Age 29
Ttc #1
Cycle 13
Currently cd28 at due next couple of days
Next af/bfp due 4th January

Planning to do the sperm meets egg plan this month. Looking forward to af finishing already!

I'm kind of straddling the dec/jan bus! Period is two days late and bfn on co-op 25miu test. Think i might be out but no sign of flo at all!

People using the SMEP, how have you been getting on with it? We've tried to follow it, but if I'm honest, we've missed a couple of days each cycle. I don't think we've got the stamina haha!

I was planning to SMEP but a nasty head cold and stupid long work hours have kind of put pay to that for this cycle. DH has also got the cold and isn't sleeping well.

I'm anticipating a long cycle as I can feel myself getting pretty stressed out with work at the moment.

We haven't really told anyone. A couple of friends have guessed and I have just smiled and I told my Dad the other day as it kind of came up but I don't plan to telling anyone else. DH was ok with that. I don't think he wants all and sundry to know as we are quite private people too.

@Aridia I think smep will be too much for me and DH but I might try it this month and just not tell him what we're doing!

Yeah I'm doing the smep but dh ain't got a clue I don't think he'd know what I was on about to be honest we're only on cd9 so I'll report back next week....it's nice to have a plan though which is motivating me this month

Im just catching up in this thread so this is late but...

@Owlpatrol + @sophherts I also have the age gap, I am 24 and DP is 43 Smile & you're right it really is just a number.

Soph- sorry about the MC! Flowers . I have just ordered the BabyMad stuff too so Im glad I've actually now seen someone who uses it! was a bit of a pick n mix!

Owl-I got the whole "pressure" thing from DP too, infact I get it all the time and its just becoming an issue now Sad so i don't think I have any chance this month! I just get "it will happens when it happens" ... I wish it was that easy!

Soph I am in the same boat of dtd at relatives over Christmas. We are at parents for the entire fertile week over Christmas. I'm dreading it already.

Yes I've been using cheap amazon opks since cycle 2. They seem to work just fine though not sure I need them as I get ewcm in the run up and ovulation pain the day after a positive test. Nice to feel like I'm 'doing' something though.

I would absolutely drive home every night if we lived a bit closer. Had hoped to follow the sperm meets egg plan this month but just don't think the mood is going to allow for it.

@LookingAtTheStars89. I’ve not even reached the flashing stage yet! On CD12 so hoping that flashing and then static appear shortly! Any update from you as yet? Af made an appearance or still waiting in anticipation?

Yes I'm also trying the SMEP but failing already as only dtd once so far! Going to have a go this eve though :)

Went to docs today and got booked in for some blood tests so am happy got the ball rolling. But she said had to do it during menstruation?? Also she seemed to think women's luteal phases are ALWAYS 14 days but that's not true is It? She was very kind and I'm glad she's booked me in for tests but not sure she knew that much about it.... I'm sure she was wrong with ehat she said about luteal phase! She also said it would happen when I stop thinking about it... hate it when people say that!

It’s a horrible feeling when you aren’t 100% sure as TTC is stressful at the best of times 🙈

I think I'm out :( AF not due until 17th according to Glow app (which hasn't been wrong yet) and getting brown/red discharge yesterday and today and some mild cramps which I think is AF a little early.

Bit of an odd one. I’m due today, have felt stressed out of my mind at work recently. But I’ve had no signs of anything apart from feeling a bit emotional.

I’ve got some medical tests going on tomorrow which cannot be done whilst I’m pregnant. Should I do a test in the morning to rule it out if AF does not arrive overnight?!

@jubbablub. Yeah I’d definitely test in the morning just to be on the safe side. Would be weary of using digital tests though as they are not as sensitive as some of the others and may show a false negative.

Still no sign of my withdrawal bleed! Took my last pill on the 1st, came off mid-pack (a week in) so maybe it's messed up my hormones. I usually come on as soon as I've missed two pills! Last period was 24th, so we'll wait and see what happens around the same time this month. I kinda just want it over with so I can start tracking properly.

Has anybody been tracking their rhr with their Fitbit?

My rhr is usually around 51/53 but it's climbed up to 58 since the 8th. Like straight up. 53,54,56,57,58.

Is it too soon to get excited?
