Aww @honey I am sorry Flowers I'm afraid I don't know the answer but I didn't want to read and run.

SpongeCake23 · 10/12/2017 14:17

Feeling jealous and mean 😔

Someone posted this on Facebook she's a friend of a friend and has just had a baby:

Words cannot describe how much love you have for a baby until they are your own 😍 it's the best feeling ever!!!!! #love being a mum

I feel like screaming, while I'm sitting here with a horrible heavy period and no sign of a bfp after 6 months of trying.

😢

jubbablub · 10/12/2017 15:44

@Sponge It’s so hard isn’t it. I have a friend who constantly asks about when we’re going to have a baby. We haven’t started trying yet, but as a friendship group we’ve had a chat with her about being sensitive to people who are having a tough time. Can you unfollow?

FruitandNutty · 10/12/2017 15:54

@HoneyCake I’m so sorry to hear this 😞 Thinking of you Flowers

@SpongeCake I think you can decrease settings on FB so you don’t see as much of a persons feed. It’s so tough isn’t it!

sophherts · 10/12/2017 21:45

@jubbablub I think I'm just going to have to convince my DH that it's naughty and fun having to be quiet with so many people about! Fingers crossed I ovulate early...

sophherts · 10/12/2017 21:47

@HoneyCake86 after my mc I ovulated at around cd19 which is about normal for me but maybe everyone is different? Do you use opk's? Hope you're doing ok x

HoneyCake86 · 10/12/2017 22:16

Hi soph. Yeah i use opks from about cd9. I hope the cp wont disrupt my cycle much

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/12/2017 08:50

Think I will be joining the January bus soon as poas this morning and bfn :-( I'm on cd32 so I'm officially a day late. I shouldn't imagine a test will be positive after this?

Woody096 · 11/12/2017 09:34

Lookingatthestars. If it helps with my DD I tested at day 29 and it was a bfn I had to wait until I was Day 35 (if memory serves me right) before I had a bfp! Fingers crossed x

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/12/2017 09:38

@Woody096. Thanks:-) I have been pregnant four times (last one mmc) and have never had an early test. I don't know for sure but if cm is anything to go by then I maybe didn't even ovulate until last weekend so a test probably wouldn't pick it up yet.

bubblybrit · 11/12/2017 14:42

Good luck @LookingAtTheStars89! I’m back to poas for opk....nothing on CD10. Just waiting on flashing smiley with the hope that I see a static this month....fingers crossed BFN is purely due to levels being too low to detect right now. Fx for you....🙂 x

sophherts · 11/12/2017 15:11

I'm about to start temping & using opk's for the first time this month! I've had enough of the guess work.

Do you only start using the opk's on cd8 or should I be using them from as soon as af is finished? I'm currently cd3

HaveCourageBeKind · 11/12/2017 15:48

So I thought the other day was my af but actually it started today... Bring on first month of TTC!!!! Excited scared and currently in pain but looking forward what this month will bring us... Should be interesting as the ovu is predicted for the Christmas Day when we are staying with OH parents sleeping on a mattress in the living room hie hie hie!!! Good luck everyone!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/12/2017 16:01

@bubblybrit. HA ha! Lol @ the flashy face. I hope things go well for you. It will be interesting to see how they work for you this month. I hope you're right about timing, it's so frustrating! I've got no signs of flo what so ever.

bubblybrit · 11/12/2017 16:40

Looks promising @LookingAtTheStars89. Really hoping to hear some baby news 🙂

@sophherts. How long are your cycles? If you are regular and 28 days then usually I’d start around CD8 (just in case you ovulate early). I had a 30 day cycle last month so started CD10 and it was negative this morning.

sophherts · 11/12/2017 16:53

Thanks @bubblybrit! I think my cycles have evened out to around 30 days with ov around cd18 (as far as I can tell) but after a mc in September they've been a bit uneven. I'll start at cd8 & see how I go.

bubblybrit · 11/12/2017 17:10

I’m sorry to hear about your mc @sophherts. What opk are you using? I’m getting a little frustrated with clearblue as keep getting flashing smiley face (high fertility) rather than solid smiley face (peak fertility). A number of people have had the same issue so just wondering what brand you were planning to use. If clearblue then I would be interested to hear if you get that solid as the flashing was taunting me last cycle lol 🙂

Good luck with ttc! Need some 2018 babies!

sophherts · 11/12/2017 17:14

@bubblybrit they're from amazon, just the cheap strips that also came with a bbt thermometer. They're from BabyMad (which is the worst brand name ever...). I'll keep you updated!

bubblybrit · 11/12/2017 17:18

Yeah let me know how you get on with them @sophherts as I might use another brand if clearblue gives me the same results this month! I think I’m getting a little babymad myself and it’s only cycle 2 for me! Really need to try and not stress....wish I listened to my own advice lol 🙂

Owlpatrol · 11/12/2017 20:33

Well I feel terribly shitty i happened to mention to dh that I was talking to mum and she had said she was talking to my aunt about ttc who guessed we were ttc and so mum told me about it and dh totally flipped out at me and said about the pressure etc so I just feel so rotten. I explained that I told mum ages ago we were ttc because I needed the support and I'm close to my mum but he doesn't understand why i would do that to myself etc it's hard to explain but now I just feel so sad I don't even want to dtd tonight. And he also said he doesn't think we've been dtd properly and enough!!! Like I haven't been counting every day from ovulation for 8 months and 13 months since starting this journey. He "didn't realise" we had been trying for that long either because we were so casual about it in the early days! Argh!!!! Men!!!

bubblybrit · 11/12/2017 21:17

Everything you have said seems perfectly reasonable to me. I’ve not told my mum that we are ttc but we are only on cycle 2. If it does take some time to get that BFP then I’d absolutely tell my mum as would want her support if I had a ‘wobble’!

It’s only natural to want to confide in your mum given that you are so close. I’m sure that DH will come to realise that. Think they feel more pressure at times as they have to produce the goods when dtd!

Aridia · 11/12/2017 22:22

@Owlpatrol I'm sorry you're feeling sad. It's totally understandable though. It makes sense that you'd want to talk to your mum about it. I know I did. And I've had similar 'discussions' with my DH. I think because they aren't directly living the day to day symptom spotting, poas, hopes up, hopes dashed, excitement, disappointment- they just can't really appreciate what it's like. My DH was not happy that I told my mum, and I also told a couple of really close friends, but he eventually accepted it. I think there's a stigma attached to having fertility problems. But he's mellowed to it now as long as we don't talk about it too much. He still hides the prenatal vitamins whenever anyone comes over though!
Maybe see how you feel tomorrow?
Hope you're okay.

piglet81 · 11/12/2017 22:33

It's difficult isn't it, because it's so emotive and so personal. We haven't told people we're TTC as such, but I had a miscarriage in September so a few people know because of that. DH and I are quite private people generally so wouldn't choose to tell many people.

SpongeCake23 · 11/12/2017 22:37

AF is over, so starting again!
Going into month 6 now (without protection) and 5 of trying properly using opks, pre natals etc.

Owlpatrol · 11/12/2017 23:31

Yeah I feel better now we dtd anyway which was lovely to be honest I think it was just a spur of the moment thing to him to say that and I overracter but like you say they don't live and breathe it as much as we do. I've literally only told my mum and my sister who are both my best friends and I'm close to... a couple of friends have guessed but I've not delved into it more. But after 13 months trying my mum's support has been amazing
