January Bus - New Year, New Bumps Please!

Hi all

Thought I'd start January bus as spotting has started today Sad

Here's my stats

Age 29
Ttc #1
Cycle 13
Currently cd28 at due next couple of days
Next af/bfp due 4th January

Planning to do the sperm meets egg plan this month. Looking forward to af finishing already!

Honeycake you could ask for the results to be released to another doctor effective immediately if you found another gp who could slot you in this week!?

@HoneyCake86 can you request a telephone consultation with a GP so they can go through the results with you over the phone. I would stress to the receptionist the importance of you knowing these results for your own well-being xx

The appointment she gave me was for a telephone consultation thats the thing.. the EPU lady was lovely and sympathetic though. I’ll see if one of the ladies at pathology later can elaborate on the hcg levels, cos the receptionist didnt have a clue what she was looking at xx

Anyone else gets a weird pressure/cramping feeling few days before supposed ovulation? It feels kind of like before af but not exactly... hope this makes sense?

Yes @HaveCourageBeKind I've had lower abdominal cramping for the past two days. Seem to be easing off today and my OPK test lines are finally starting to become a little darker (we're just squinters before). CD15, first cycle off combined pill. Very little CM though so not sure if I'm actually fertile yet x

Thanks Rioja2511 I’m only CD10... supposed to ovulate CD14... we shall see...

It’s weird never paid too much attention to it now it feels like my uterus is screaming at me to get going 😂

Hi everyone, mind if join? I'm 29, ttc #2, dd is 2.5 yrs.

I got a BFP last cycle and I was 5 weeks along when I started bleeding heavily and my blood tests came back with negligible levels of hcg. I'm on day 2 of bleeding and I cried my eyes out yesterday as I truly believed we had managed to do it this time. Today I am feeling a little better and ready to look ahead to January and stay positive.

I've just been using OPKs off amazon. So will continue to use those again and start them once the bleeding stops. I just hope my cycles don't go completely out of whack now.

@HaveCourageBeKind mine have been extremely faint for the last week and only started to get darker t day. Still a way to go before it's positive

Nothing more to report, pathologist flat out refused to release any details to me, said they only give details to the doctors. She said she’s put it as urgent so hopefully the doctor will know if the hcg has increased or not by friday. Im torturing myself with tests, bought a cb digital for the morning in an attempt to figure out if the estimated weeks match my dates- im worried cos of fainter tests, but i want at least a hint of whats to come. I hate this limbo feeling and want to grieve for my loss, if its truly a loss, and move on.
Turns out that the pregnacare tabs i have has iodine in it (im on levothyroxin for undersctive thyroid) which could be why ive suddenly got an overactive thyroid. Youre not meant to take iodine with thyroxin Blush. I hope i haven’t accidentally triggered a mc by screwing up my hormones.

Well AF arrived today. A day sooner than expected. We're only on cycle #1 so I knew the likelihood of conceiving would be small but we managed it last time with DC1. So I had secretly kept my hopes high! This is my first AF since coming off the pill at the beginning of the month, so at least now my body is getting back to normal. I never got cramps while on the pill but they're definitely back with a vengeance now!

I've decided to treat myself to a glass of wine tonight. I'm taking it as calm as possible this month it's been such a stressful year that I need to chill this Christmas period. I am not sure whether to test Christmas day or not will only be 9dpo might use a ic hehe

@BaliBound I'll be 1dpo on xmas day so I'm going to drink as normal I think! I'm not a huge drinker so it'll probably be a glass of wine, a tiny bit of port and maybe a baileys. The month I had my mc I went crazy in the tww with no booze, cheese, raw fish etc so I'm going to be a bit more chilled this month

@HoneyCake86 I’m so sorry.. I really feel for you. Sometimes it feels like other people aka GPs rule our future - so frustrating. Try not to blame yourself on the thyroid thing, our bodies are so complex.. thinking of you.

I’m on way home from work Xmas party and probably overdid it on the red wine but oh well

Thanks both. It's been an emotional rollercoaster few days. But one positive I can take from this is that I now know I can conceive - I feared after losing my periods for so long after dd that my fertility had been affected. I just hope it sticks the next time.

I think I will follow the sperm meets egg plan again as the timing obviously worked last month. OPKs will be even more important this time as I'm not sure whether my usual OV date will move earlier/later due to what has happened.

Anyone else had an early miscarriage and any advice on when to start trying? Should I just view this like my period and count CD1 as yesterday which was the first heavy bleed?

One of my best friends told me she was pregnant with her first this week. Very excited for her, I just wish we'd got pregnant with #2 already so I could share the experience!
