Hi all

Thought I'd start January bus as spotting has started today

Here's my stats

Age 29
Ttc #1
Cycle 13
Currently cd28 at due next couple of days
Next af/bfp due 4th January

Planning to do the sperm meets egg plan this month. Looking forward to af finishing already!

When I was little I was told when a mammy and a daddy love each other very much, they sit at the end of the bed and prey and if they want a baby in their hearts enough the fairy puts one in the mammy's tummy. Well not gunna lie I'm pretty peeved flo came this month 😂😑 x

@LookingAtTheStars89. Yeah it’s really difficult when you find yourself back at CD1. Especially when you get a little bit of hope that this month might be THE month. My DH and I have been incredibly lazy when it comes to dtd this month so I ain’t holding out much hope!

@bubblybrit. Lol at lazy. I could kick myself that we missed a dtd day when I was fertile, it just didn't click at the same as I thought I ovulated at cd18 and ended up being like cd22!

How are the sticks going? I'm going to buy some regular ones tomorrow. Are you taking any vitamins?

@sophherts. I will give the Seven Seas another shot this cycle.

@ImpatientMammy We have said we are going to give it a try this cycle without any lube. I don't know if there is anything I could do to be a bit....moister lol. It makes me really self conscious!

@Owlpatrol. We are going to do SMEP too.

Is anyone taking omega 3?

@LookingAtTheStars89. I’m been pretty relaxed with vitamins at the mo as only taking folic acid from seven seas. Sticks are still frustrating the living daylights out of me. On CD15 and absolutely nothing so far! I’m defo going to buy some internet cheapies if no luck with static this cycle. I’m a little under pressure as DH night need to work in the US for 3 months early next year

@impatientmammy. What a lovely story for children. Really wish that was the reality never knew how stressful ttc was until I started

@LookingAtTheStars89. Absolutely nothing at all so far. Last cycle was 30 days but the two prior were both 36 days. So still holding out hope for the flashing and then static! Yeah it’s not set in stone as yet so trying not to fret too much about him going away just in case it actually doesn’t happen!

I'm using the Clear Blue OPKs at the moment.
My cycles are irregular but my last cycle was 31 days and I got my first flashy on CD16 (3days ago) and have had it for 3 days now.
It says to do them first thing on the packet but I actually did one first thing on CD16 and just got the circle... had pains later on that morning so did another and got a flashy. I read up a lot about OPKs and a lot say to do it later to let the LH build up.
Don't give up on them yet 😊

Thanks @lauraxgirl. I am going to try and persevere with clearblue this month! Might need to start testing in the afternoon as well as using fmu. No idea how I’m going to avoid going to the toilet for 4-5 hours at work! Lol

I dont get it... im on CD9 my bleeding stopped 3 days ago after a CP but i have a + opk already?? Thats never happened to me before. Any ideas if that will affect my chances for this month?

@HoneyCake86. Maybe your going to ov earlier? Don't you ovulate a day or two after a + opk? Which would be cd11 so it's not terribly early. My SIL told me that when she was doing her clear blue opk s she got a static on cd11.

I always thought it was the next day. I dont know ghe earliest i have had a + is CD13. I guess im just worrying in case the cp has screwed up my cycles or my hormones are out of whack... i have no other symptoms of ov and the cm doesnt seem fertile.

I mean surely my womb lining cant be thick enough after a 6 day bleed to make it stick

@HoneyCake86. No idea! My cycles have been all over the place since my mc. I think you'll probably just have to dtd and see how it goes?

Honey if you Ov on CD10 then implantation wouldn't be till around CD19, so don't worry, plenty of time for your lining to thicken up again!

Looking you've just given me a brainwave about the lube... We don't use it but we nearly always have oral beforehand... apparently some studies say saliva can hinder sperm motility!

Trisk thats understandable- in our saliva we have digestive enzymes that deactivates proteins and breaks things down (and its acidic) so i can see how it could affect it.

@HoneyCake86 I also had a nearly + opk at cd 7! I made sure we dtd cd 8! Tbh not sure what’s going on as my AF was so strange this month.. one day of light flow then lots of spotting. I’m cd9 now..

Yay we are cycle buddys again @fruitandnutty ! Im so glad im not the only one. Its just new to me ive never got it that early, ever. Seems so wierd that on CD19 id be 10dpo when usually it’d be 2dpo. I wonder if our AF/BFPs would also come early or whether it’ll be a long luteal phase.

With my first child I temped and got pregnant on the 2nd month trying but this time around am going to give ovulation sticks a go. Tried last time but never seemed to get a positive but have read on here that often you need to test twice in a day or you might miss the surge. My cycles have changed since having DS (used to have longer cycles and long periods with ovulation on day 19/20!) so no idea when my fertile week will be so am hoping ovulation sticks will help me out as don't have as much time to dtd as last time around!

I've had flashing smileys for 4 days now!!!! On my ClearBlue OPKs. No static yet.

Had terrible migrane the past couple of days. Nausea for the past week. Sore boobs starting today (I do get this near AF time)
And I've just ready you can still test positive on OPKs if pregnant.....

Don't know what's going on!!! Stared OPK'ing later than I wanted (4days ago)
