Oh my goodness! I'm super excited now! Gonna text DH that 'time to crack on!'

peachesarenom · 17/01/2018 18:34

I don't track my ovulation because I have PCOS. It is also the reason I never know when to start testing. I was using OPKs but they're not reliable with PCOS, some months they said I hadn't ovulated but 21 day bloods confirmed I had. GP said to waste money on something else!

mamabear05 · 17/01/2018 18:42

Oooo may as well get BD'ing then @peachesarenom won't do any harm!!!! Good luck. Go catch that egg x

Boboelephant · 18/01/2018 08:46

Hi all, just catching up on the last few days!
Welcome @patienceofatoddler and @mamabear05 although sorry you find yourselves here.
@DaisyMay25 how exciting that you might be pregnant!!! Ahh a week though, I'd be going crazy!!
Also @NoCatsHere!! Have you caved and tested yet??
Hope you are doing lots of BDing @peachesarenom! Catch that egg!
@MrsMac1489 I understand your words exactly. The emotional agony that comes along with pregnancy loss is intense. I hope you- and all of us- get our rainbow babies soon x Also I was still getting positive 1 week after but negative at 2 weeks.
@Unicornsandrainbows1 hope the EPU is ok today and they give you the all clear!
I'm on CD6 now, af ended yesterday and feeling a bit gutted we can't try this month! I go away in 6 days and fw usually only starts cd15 and ov cd20. I keep googling ways to make ovulation happen earlier. Is this possible???

Boboelephant · 18/01/2018 08:54

@NelleB sorry I missed you! Glad GP made you feel better and fingers crossed Monday comes quickly! What happens when you get to 5+2?

MrsMac1489 · 18/01/2018 10:17

Got my negative test today after my miscarriage a week and 2 days ago. Still having that yukky end of period brown stuff but feeling much better. Back to work on Tuesday and I can’t wait! Fed up of these 4 walls lol

Has anyone’s app stopped working since an upgrade?! My screen goes black and then the app shuts down.

DaisyMay25 · 18/01/2018 10:22

@Boboelephant so you're going away on CD12 I think there's a chance! May as well give it a shot anyway!

I doubt I am but she was swaying towards it so who knows, I can't wait a week though, I've got enough tests to test everyday but I'll save my FRER for Monday I reckon

DaisyMay25 · 18/01/2018 12:04

I have no will power, tested this morning and bfp gonna wait until Saturday though with a cheapie then Monday with BFP still brown spotting though

Boboelephant · 18/01/2018 12:36

I'm confused @DaisyMay25. Did you get a bfp today?? That's amazing!!!
Glad you got your negative @MrsMac1489. It's bittersweet and sad but at least now you can move forward.

Yeah I thought I was going away cd9 but it's actually cd12 which is better. Although dtd on cd12 will have to be a super early one before DS wakes up! Although I think it'll still be too early because of my stupid long cycles.
I was googling away- as you do- about ways to ovulate earlier. Some girls spoke about natural things like black cohosh or some soy tablets. I'm a bit of a scaredy cat though as I don't want to mess up my cycles and make them worse! Anyone got good or bad experiences?

di626 · 18/01/2018 12:46

@DaisyMay25 congrats!!!

@Boboelephant check out seed cycling for fertility - i started those you take in first half of cycle & maybe coincidence but i now ovulate earlier by couple of days!

DaisyMay25 · 18/01/2018 12:48

Oh god I meant bfn haha, I'm so tired, I slept all day yesterday. This is messing my body up so bad that I just wanna sleep all the time! But no still BFN here

di626 · 18/01/2018 12:50

Sorry @DaisyMay25 sorry 😪. Im rare this month as well - spottting since 7dpo & now 12 dpo!!! Aarrrgghhhh just flipping hurry up & come!

DaisyMay25 · 18/01/2018 12:51

@di626 how strange! Hopefully it's good news though do you, when's AF due?

Boboelephant · 18/01/2018 12:52

I wasn't sure @DaisyMay25 but I thought thats what you meant. Still crossing everything for you! The nurse did say a week! 😉
Thanks @di626 I'll check it out!!

di626 · 18/01/2018 13:31

Prob today or tomo! Naw bfn yday so hopes gone!! Think im just frigged up 🙈

BrokenBaubles · 18/01/2018 13:38

Had my scan this morning. Sac still there but no growth. So I've got a D&C booked in for Tuesday. Tell me oh wise ones, what to expect. Also, will I need the next day off work do you think?

DaisyMay25 · 18/01/2018 13:40

@BrokenBaubles sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I can't offer any advice as my body got rid of everything naturally. I'd suggest taking the next day off for your mental health if nothing else

di626 · 18/01/2018 13:50

@BrokenBaubles so sorry 😪. I took the week off - i was very weak after the aneasthetic & also the emotional impact just hit me after. Take good care of urself xx

TheGrumpySquirrel · 18/01/2018 13:53

So sorry to hear that @BrokenBaubles Thanks take care of yourself

Would someone like to volunteer to take over the OP mantle and make a new thread?

So sorry to hear that @BrokenBaubles. I would try and take the rest of the week off if possible but certainly Wednesday and Thursday. The medical advice is not to work for 48 hours. Your work needs to respect this and count it as sick or compassionate leave.
Mine unfortunately was quite painful (I had it under local not general anaesthetic). I'm pretty certain though that it was painful for me as my body had not recognised the loss and had no bleeding/cramps etc so baby was very firmly attached to the uterine wall. For people whose body has started the process I've heard it's not painful just uncomfortable. It only takes about 20 min and they did a scan immediately after to ensure it was all clear. This provided me with reassurance. My bleeding after was minimal but I felt very tired and definitely needed the rest. Good luck. Sending hugs xx

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 18/01/2018 14:46

@BrokenBaubles How horrible. Definitely take the week off and look after yourself. I've had it twice (the first time was a bit more painful than the second). They'll give you some pain relief anyway, but I mentioned it the second time right how the more I was awake after the anaesthesia, the more I hurt and they gave me some paracetamol and stuff to take before I went in to theatre. I'm not sure if it made a difference or not.

I think just prepare for the worse scenario afterwards, and anything better than that is a bonus

Hopefulbunny · 19/01/2018 21:16

Hi ladies sorry to hear some of you are struggling.

AF due for me on 24th, not sure I'm feeling too hopefully at the moment.

AF after miscarriage was long and heavy, so hoping its better if it does arrive this cycle.

Hope you are all okay.
