oh my word @bobo, that's a long cycle indeed. the time you await your ov, af will be around the corner for me lol. cycles usually + or -24 days . you will get a short break then haha. how long have you been trying if you don't mind me asking?

NelleB · 13/01/2018 18:07

@Boboelephant mine are the same, I ovulate around cd20/21... it's torture. I feel your pain. I hope you get some positive results x

Boboelephant · 13/01/2018 18:26

Yeah @Mimi it's really frustrating! A very long wait in between cycles!! We got pregnant 1st cycle trying 16 months ago but unfortunately that was an ectopic pregnancy which ruptured and I lost a tube. It then took 12 months to fall again but was a MMC which we found out at 10 weeks. I had a ERPC a month ago. I really hope it doesn't take another 12 months!!
Thanks @NelleB. It is torture! I never minded until ttc.

di626 · 13/01/2018 18:56

@Boboelephant ah thats rough hun 😢 x

DaisyMay25 · 13/01/2018 19:23

So spotting turned red, it's never done that before, only brown.
And now it's stopped?
Surely it's too late in the game for implantation bleeding?
AF will probably turn up tomorrow so not getting my hopes up

DaisyMay25 · 13/01/2018 19:24

@Boboelephant sorry to hear she's turned up for you.
Fingers crossed for March though

Cookiefiend · 13/01/2018 20:31

@BrokenBaubles I had one day of what was very obviously miscarriage which stopped. Then the next day more pain for an hour or two and one final huge clot- then a few days of period like bleeding. They tested my blood too. The tested first as it was a mmc but the couldn't see the baby, just pregnancy tissue and they were worried about an ectopic. By watching the numbers they saw it wasn't that (hcg apparently usually very high in that case) but when the numbers didn't fall as expected they began to suspect a partial molar pregnancy, which is quite rare. It turned out not to be just my body seemed reluctant to realise I had Miscarried. Apparently slow falling numbers can also indicate retained product which they were also looking for.

Sorry those who are out. I'm was about to write "you aren't out until AF arrived remember" and then add another paragraph saying that I think I am out, but AF still hasn't arrived. Funny how easy it is to reassure others but not follow the advice yourself! I should maybe test tomorrow.

Fingers crossed all who are still in (I want to see a BFP photo tomorrow!) and good luck to those for next month.

Cookiefiend · 13/01/2018 20:32

@DaisyMay25 do you track your ovulation? You may have ovulated late. Plus implantation can sometimes take a few extra days and still be within the realms of normal. Hope it works out.

DaisyMay25 · 14/01/2018 00:25

@Cookiefiend pretty sure last time we dtd was 30th and I ovulated around the 31st (couldn't dtd again due to stupid work schedules) so it's be pretty late on I reckon
It's pretty weird, usually (tmi incoming) it's a little spotting followed by loads of dark blood containing clots
Now I'm had spotting which was light pink and a few small clots, very strange.
Maybe AF tomorrow

peachesarenom · 14/01/2018 00:25

Hi everyone.

I'm still following. I went to visit my GP who I adore and she said I really should wait for my 1st period post mc so that I have a fresh lining to my uterus. That accurate dating was not the only reason for waiting for the period. So now I have to wait to TTC. Bren out drinking tonight! First drink since Nov.

DaisyMay25 · 14/01/2018 00:29

@peachesarenom at least you've got answers then.
Yes enjoying drinking before TTC I haven't drank since we tried.
Hopefully not long until you can start again

Hollymchollyface · 14/01/2018 09:44

Hi everyone,
Been trying to catch up as I haven't checked in for a couple of days.
Great news on the scan Grumpy!
I hope this is the beginning of the end for you Unicorns
My last mc sounds similar to yours Baubles, I passed a surprising amount of clots. Do you have a scan booked to confirm that its been completed?
Sorry about af bobo.
I think I might have got a bfp but I am not sure. I had a little stupid fall yesterday and injured my hand, so I had to go to hospital for an x-ray. I stopped off at home to change and thought I should do a pg test before the x-ray, bfn (that might sound odd but I had an xray in November when I didn't know I was pg and then freaked out afterwards). Anyway, came back from hospital, nothing broken, looked at test again and thought I could see a line. Tested again this am and there is the faintest of lines but its there. Really confused though as I thought I ov on the 27th dec so seems late to get a bfp now. Is that a bad sign?
I haven't told dh yet. Feeling no symptoms at all so I don't know... god I hope it sticks. Will do another test tomorrow.

peachesarenom · 14/01/2018 10:13

OMG Hollymchollyface !!! I hope the test goes well tomorrow xxx

peachesarenom · 14/01/2018 10:14

Thank you DaisyMay25. How long did you wait before trying?

DaisyMay25 · 14/01/2018 10:26

@Hollymchollyface hope your hand is okay!
It's not too late for a bfp at all, but yea test again in morning with fmu with frer if you have one
Fingers crossed!
@peachesarenom I started again straight away, having a mc solidified for me that I really wanted a baby
Whenever you feel ready just start again and we're all here on the journey with you Smile

peachesarenom · 14/01/2018 10:31

To be honest DaisyMay25 apart from wanting a baby I don't really know anything anymore. I feel all over the place. I don't want to wait but I trust my GP and maybe mental health wise I should have a break. I'm just going to take one day at a time.

Hollymchollyface · 14/01/2018 11:02

My last bleed was my mc @peaches and the Dr said we could ttc straight away, I think the advice can vary because I have heard both but we just decided to get going

Boboelephant · 14/01/2018 14:07

Thanks everyone. AF sucks but onwards and upwards for March!!
@Cookiefiend and @DaisyMay25 sounds promising!! Any more testing? Fingers crossed!!
@Hollymchollyface yahhh!!!! Let us know how tomorrow's test goes! Also hope yiur hand is ok.
@peachesarenom I think you have to do what feels right for you. Especially mental health wise. You know what you can handle. Physically docs seem to differ, mine from EPU said I was absolutely fine to not wait, others say you should. Do what feels right for you and we're here to listen!

Cookiefiend · 14/01/2018 14:19

@Hollymchollyface looking good- fingers crossed for you!

@peachesarenom I was told by the epu that there was no need to wait, I guess advice differs. I found the miscarriage association a useful place to get information which seemed well researched and backed up. In some ways though I am pleased I didn't fall pregnant again immediately as in hindsight I think it would have stressed me out more than I realised. I hope it all works out for you in the end.

I was going to test this morning, but had a tiny amount of brown spotting so I thought AF was On the way- it is being slow to appear though. Who knows. I expect it will arrive tomorrow.

DaisyMay25 · 14/01/2018 14:33

@Boboelephant no more testing. I don't know what my body is doing, it's just a really messed up AF really I wish it'd just come properly so I can look towards the next cycle

@peachesarenom try and relax whilst AF takes her time to arrive I know what you mean though about the mental health side of things, just don't put too much pressure on yourself

This TTC is hard work, I swear every tv show or film I watch atm there's pregnancy in, that of course happens far too easily for them

Boboelephant · 14/01/2018 16:26

@DaisyMay25 oh I'm sorry if it is AF and it's just being messed up.
I agree completely. This ttc is so so hard!!!

NoCatsHere · 14/01/2018 18:12

Hi all sorry been away a few days.
bobo hi yes tested again yesterday and it was a bfn on an ic. So enjoyed a few drinks out. Pretty sure af will be here tomorrow or Tuesday. I feel nothing.... I’m sorry you’re out too. Enjoy the month off, I really did when I had one, it was so nice to go through a month without counting days!

grumpy wonderful news on your scan. Keep up updated though - thinking of you.

holly sorry about your wrist but fingers crossed you get a clearer line tomorrow!

running3 · 14/01/2018 18:23

Hello! Can I join in please?!
Sorry to all of you for your losses, keeping fingers and toes crossed that healthy babies come to you soon.
I sadly miscarried my first pregnancy last month. Now ovulating and ttc again, so joining you in the waiting/hoping/testing/worrying journey over the coming weeks/months.
Good luck everyone Xx

NelleB · 14/01/2018 19:24

I had my cp on 16th December and was told to just get going again after the bleeding had finished. Currently a week in my tww.

I'd love to know how many women stopped taking the pill and their first pregnancies ended in miscarriage. I've seen so much of it on threads. I wonder if there's any link. It's what happened to me as well.

Lots of luck to everyone here.

peachesarenom · 14/01/2018 19:44

Hi everyone,

You are all such lovely women, thank you so much for your support.

I think I could waste a lot of time and energy agonising over whether to start now or give it a month. They are both probably equally valid. It is prolly best to just make a decision one way or the other so I can stop thinking about it.

Even though I got my BFP 11 months into TTC I did have a bit of a panic about my size as I'm about the largest I've ever been and I was worried about gaining even more weight while being pregnant because I wasn't sure if my body could handle it or if I'd be able to endure labour at 9 months.

So I think for me it would prolly be best to wait for a month and be super strict about slimming world for a month and if I manage to lose a stone in that time then I'd feel like I've done something super positive and be more confident about being pregnant.

I will give tommy's and the miscarriagr association a call though, just in case they sway me.

Otherwise, almost sounds like a plan doesn't it!
