Sending big hugs to those who got their af recently. Hope you are all still relaxing and eating delicious things!
@UnicornsandRainbows1 I really feel for everything you've gone through but I so hope this is now the end of it and you can move forward.
@BrokenBaubles so sorry you've had to go through this. I really hope this is over for you now!
Fingers crossed for the people still waiting.

Cookiefiend · 12/01/2018 23:16

@BrokenBaubles I'm so sorry. It sounds silly now, but I had always heard that an earlyish miscarriage (say up to about 12 weeks) was just like a period. I was shocked by the volume of blood, the huge clots (you really had to push them out) and the pain. I hadn't felt anything like it except labour. It is such a shocking experience physically.

Be kind to yourself for the next few days- I was sooo tired. And eat cake. Flowers Cake

Boboelephant · 13/01/2018 08:09

@TheGrumpySquirrel good luck for your scan today!
@NoCatsHere have you taken your test today? Fingers crossed!!
@Mimilicious and @Hollymcholly how are you both? Has af stayed away?
@Cookiefiend and DaisyMay25 how are you guys?
I took another test this morning and still bfn. 😢 No af and all symptoms seem to have disappeared so who knows??? I used an IC then turned it all ways trying to squint for a line! The crazy has clearly not left me.

Mimilicious013 · 13/01/2018 09:15

morning ladies
sorry for the bfn @bobo, at least you are using ic now.l would not worry about the symptoms, as long as the witch stays away. no af yet but I'm sure it's only a matter of time eeishh.
best of luck at the scan @grumpy, be sure to let us know how it goes.
sending hugs @baubles, I second cookie , be kind to yourself

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 13/01/2018 09:17

Well (I couldn't sleep) took a FRER at about 1.30 this morning. Still there but a tiny bit fainter I think. Sorry if it's a bit blurry (new one is the right - old from Sunday is left).

My period seem to slow or get lighter during the night, but I think it's definitely there as it's a bit heavier as of about an hour ago. Don't think I've been happier about having super cramping (maybe it just feels that way) and having an AF in my life Wine

@Mimi it's weird as on Wednesday I was sure af was coming but now the af symptoms have gone. Its hard as it plays tricks with your mind. If I'm out I want to know rather than get my hopes up just for it to arrive late!
It does look lighter now @Unicorns.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 13/01/2018 10:07

There is a baby with a heartbeat! Measuring 8+3 so due date 22 August (even though I know I’m 8+0 by ov date). We got to see the heartbeat flickering away 💗 obviously things could still go wrong but this is further than I made it last time so I am a bit less anxious now

sending love to you all x

@BrokenBaubles and @UnicornsandRainbows1 sorry you're still going through all this. Anybody still in for this month? I'm going to bow out this month and give my body a break. I always get crazy symptoms and full on nausea when we're trying even though we haven't conceived so need a break.

pioe · 13/01/2018 10:21

That's amazing @TheGrumpySquirrel brilliant news!

ek78 · 13/01/2018 10:24

That is def lighter @unicorns.
Congratulations @thegrumpysquirrel it is so nice to see people coming out of the other end of this.
@baubles echoing everyone else here but do rest up well.

DaisyMay25 · 13/01/2018 10:47

BFN for me this morning but just starting getting cramps and spotting so Af is right on track.

That's greats news @TheGrumpySquirrel

BrokenBaubles · 13/01/2018 10:56

Thank you. It's really upsetting again :(

Congratulations @thegrumpysquirrel

Flatwhite32 · 13/01/2018 11:01

So sorry @BrokenBaubles. Sending many hugs your way. Xx

So pleased for you @TheGrumpySquirrel! Xx

That's definitely looking lighter @UnicornsandRainbows1. Xx

Boboelephant · 13/01/2018 11:36

Brilliant news@TheGrumpySquirrel!!
So sorry @DaisyMay25! Stupid witch.
@pioe i have to take next month off as im going away for 2.5 weeks over fw without hubby so no chance of conceiving. I'm pretty gutted but at the same time it'll probably be good to just relax about it. I'm technically still in this month- maybe. Not really sure! I thought af was due yesterday but haven't had a period since my MMC so I might judt have dates wrong. Still getting stark white bfn so most likely out.

pioe · 13/01/2018 11:57

@Boboelephant hopefully you're still in. I was desperate to get back to trying after our mmc but I defo need a break now. Both pregnancies I've had have been conceived after a one off so I don't know if my body gets used to the sperm or something so maybe a break will do you good too.

BrokenBaubles · 13/01/2018 12:10

Weird. The bleeding has completely stopped. I so so hope that the scan on Thursday shows it's all done. Will they want to do blood tests as well? Sorry to harp on about me, me, me. Taking advantage of a group of women who've experienced this.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 13/01/2018 12:16

I bled on and off for a while after my mc completed. Stop start is normal I think. They do normally do a blood test after 2 weeks I think to check hcg is gone / low enough x

OP posts:
UnicornsandRainbows1 · 13/01/2018 12:39

@BrokenBaubles You're not harping on or being remotely selfish at all :) I hope its all done for you! I didn't have my bloods done but tbh I'm not sure why. They seem to want to actually scan me than take bloods here but I'm guessing it's a good thing that they actually want to physically look at it.

ek78 · 13/01/2018 12:56

@brokenbaubles my mc bleeding really dragged on and had a couple of stop start moments but I know it’s different for everyone. I hope yours is done now! Pls don’t apologise. This is a place we can support each other.

pioe · 13/01/2018 12:58

I didn't have blood tests or any follow up after a d&c just left me to it and told to wait for a bfn so I suppose it depends what region you're in?

Boboelephant · 13/01/2018 13:53

@BrokenBaubles I second the others. You are not being selfish and certainly not harping on. This group is here for advice and support. As everyone has said the bleeding can be different for everyone. After my erpc I only bled on that day. They scanned me there and said it was all clear. I was only told to come back if I was still bleeding after 3 weeks. If you have been bleeding all week like a period I wouldn't be surprised if the passing of clots was the end of it. Hopefully for you it is!

Sadly I'm out. Stupid witch just arrived. I'm going away in 10 days without DH for 2.5 weeks so can't try next month. Fingers crossed for a March bfp 🤞🤞

di626 · 13/01/2018 14:07

Hi everyone, ive been lurking just for the past couple of weeks.

Sorry to everyone who is having a hard time atm 😢 hopefully will get easier & to those who have just got AF - it sucks!! Im 7dpo today though not holding out much hope after having chemical just last month - wouldnt be that lucky to get preg 2 months in a row!!
Brilliant news @TheGrumpySquirrel on your scan 👏😊
@UnicornsandRainbows1 the line is def lighter!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 13/01/2018 14:20

I think in my case the reason they did bloods was because although scan showed mc had completed, the stuff that came out in hospital wasn't pregnancy tissue (that had already come out at home) so they had to make sure the pregnancy was over.

OP posts:
Mimilicious013 · 13/01/2018 16:19

great news @thegrumpy, hope you can now enjoy your pregnancy

oh no @bobo and @daisy , stupid af .hope a glass of wine will make you feel better. l am impatiently waiting for mine to come already. a bit of spotting and cramping.

sending more hugs your way @baubles

hie @dia, fx for you

the line is definitely looking fainter @unicorns

@pioe when is your bfp due. l break will really do you good. l got my bfp the month l had stopped trying. after 24 long stressful cycles we decided to throw the towel and then bam! !gl

@bobo, you can just throw in a little bd before you leave and who knows hun

Boboelephant · 13/01/2018 17:10

@Mimi haha I probably will but pretty sure it's a lost cause! I have long cycles and don't ovulate until about cd20 so cd9 is a bit early!!
