Congratulations @Stowie3012!!!

Boboelephant · 02/01/2018 21:08

Pretty sure I ovulated on Saturday and I feel the obsessiveness beginning!!! Already counting down until I can test, when the due date would be, next fw etc etc.... ahh why do we do this to ourselves!? How do I switch off my crazy brain??

Eastend2015 · 02/01/2018 21:34

Congratulations stowie!

bobo yup ditto!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 02/01/2018 21:35

So I'm fairly certain this isn't moving (and I have lots of ewcm again - whyyyy?) so I'm thinking I'll need to start looking at my options for my scan on Monday. I'm guessing surgery is out as it seems to pointless to induce the risk of any further scarring with another d&c. And I would hate to have a poor lady have to carry their child for longer than they need to because I've taken a space. I have no idea what medical management is like. I'm at my wits end, I just want a clean state to start from and it's like being near the beginning still. It's ridiculous that something so small can fuck everything up

Dandelion89 · 02/01/2018 21:46

Thanks for the well wishes ladies. Much appreciated!
Congrats @Stowie3012! That's great news.
@UnicornsandRainbows1 I had the first half of medical management but passed the embryo at home so didn't need to go through the day in the hospital. What has your gp suggested?

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 02/01/2018 21:50

@Dandelion89 I'm currently still under the EPU and my GP is a bit of a useless twat so I'm stupidly trying to avoid him.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/01/2018 21:50

Congratulations @Dandelion89 and @Stowie3012 this is wonderful news!!!

@UnicornsandRainbows1 I'm so sorry things have not been straightforward for you. I hope the GP will be able to help.

Sorry cross post! When can you get to EPU?

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 02/01/2018 22:03

@TheGrumpySquirrel I have a rescan on the 8th, then I guess I get put back into the ward's care again for the management. At least I'll learn more next week

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 02/01/2018 22:07

Oh actually, can someone explain baby aspirin to me again as I've completely forgotten. And is it worth maybe trying to get hold of something that adds extra progesterone or something? Is that a thing? I don't want to take any chances next time round :/

beanhunter · 02/01/2018 22:46

My rmc consultant has given me clexane (blood thinning injections) to take as soon as I (not that I will) get a positive test. She doesn’t want me to start asprin until I’ve had a scan showing a hb. Advice seems to be conflicting though.

Hollymchollyface · 03/01/2018 08:40

@UnicornsandRainbows1 I had a medical management, I don't know if I can help but if you have any questions, I'll try and answer.
Congrats @Stowie3012! Great news
@Eastend2015 thanks for posting the link to the uterus monologues, I read loads of it yesterday and she is spot on.

Boboelephant · 03/01/2018 09:18

@Unicorns so sorry this is being such a rubbish drawn out process for you!!

Boboelephant · 03/01/2018 09:23

I'm after some advice please. Since having my ectopic surgery I started getting alot of back pain in my fw and then right up until af arrived. I never had this beforehand. I had my ERPC on the 12th Dec and started feeling the standard pre ovulation back pain last Wed but now in the last 2 days it is really quite extreme. Hurts when standing and sometimes makes me have to sit down. I don't want to take painkillers just in case the egg caught (think I ovulated Sat/Sun. Not sure if these surgeries do just increase pain or if this is something I should get checked out. Anyone experienced anything similar?

Eastend2015 · 03/01/2018 13:28

Bobo I was lucky to avoid surgery after my EP but sounds like it would be worth getting that checked out! Can you call EPU and discuss with them?

HoldTightPretendItsAPlan · 03/01/2018 13:39

Congratulations Dandelion89 and Stowie3012!

I'm 4dpo, feeling like this is the longest tww ever. I'm normally not tempted to test until 8/9dpo, but I'm already sitting on my hands. Any tips?

DaisyMay25 · 03/01/2018 13:44

@HoldTightPretendItsAPlan I'm only 3dpo and I'm the same, I swear these two weeks get longer and longer each month! I'll going to put off testing until 11dpo which I know will drive me insane!

Boboelephant · 03/01/2018 14:30

@HoldTightPretendItsAPlan and @DaisyMay25 me too!!! I'm 3/4 dpo (can't decide which day exactly!) and have no idea how I am going to get through the next 9 days!! Ahhh!!

Eastend2015 · 03/01/2018 15:35

Pretty sure I ovulated sat/ Sun too Confused I know i’m nuts to be so hopeful but surely our bad luck must come to an end soon?!

coastalchick · 03/01/2018 16:03

I'm worried I ovulated day 16 (as that's what happened last time we got pg) and that we should have DTD New Year's Day as we skipped New Year's Eve due to SMEP but then couldn't be arsed New Year's Day!

Eastend2015 · 03/01/2018 16:21

Is SMEP really that successful? I’m sure I read somewhere sperm only renews every 2/3 days so DTD every day seems unnecessary. At this point though i’ll try anything! DH doesn’t seem to thrive on the pressure though Sad, we only managed to DTD on the days each side of ovulation day as he was too tired!

Eastend2015 · 03/01/2018 16:24

Should have said am calculating ovulation day by peak hormones on OPK, but as egg is supposed to actually be released 24-48 hours after that so who knows exactly!

Dandelion89 · 03/01/2018 17:01

@UnicornsandRainbows1 doesn't sound stupid at all. My GP hasn't been particularly useful with issues since mc. It's like you mention anything about ttc and they don't take you seriously. I hope the epu are looking after you well.

Boboelephant · 03/01/2018 17:34

@Eastend I hope so!!!
I didn't use opks so have just been trying to dtd as much as possible. Some days every day and some every second. A bit dependent on the holidays and energy levels!! I was pretty sure I ovulated on the weekend and then had no CM Monday or Tuesday but it came back today so hope I wasn't wrong and only ovulated today!! 😣 I hope it works out for all of us, it only takes 1 egg!! 🤞🤞

NoCatsHere · 03/01/2018 19:43

Firstly happy new year all of you and masses of love and luck for healthy babies and pregnancies this 2018.

flat so pleased your scan was good, hang in there not long to go until the 12 week one.

Big congrats dandelion and stowie awesome news to start the new year!

unicorn I had medical management at 10 weeks for a mmc and it was fine. I passed everything in a few hours no real pain, it was yucky but ok. And then I got a new pregnancy test 3 weeks later.

mimi we managed to dtd NYE but that's all we've managed. It's hard, we have 2 kids already and this third baby is supposed to be just a bonus mayabe baby. Obviously OH is taking it casual but I'm a secret nut job peeing on things in secret so he doesn't realise... it's really hard for us to manage to dtd more than once in my fw otherwise DH gets suspicious. I really want to up the action, but if I do that I scare DH off the idea of a third baby. We're not supposed to be trying as such, more seeing what happens. I was much more casual about it until I had the 2 mc, now I feel desperate for a baby but I need to tread carefully with my DH otherwise he'll back out completely.... anyway, it only takes one go I know so I'm always hopeful despite just manageing it once in the right place a month!

However I don't know what's going on this month, feels like I haven't ov yet which is odd as I normally have by now. I'm cd14 and I don't have a solid smiley yet, so I might squeeze one more night in and hope DH just thinks he's irresistible!!
