December Bus - Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

I’m 23
TTC #1
Cycle: 2

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise! SmileHalloween GrinStar

Yeah I keep saying it's just an ic so there's still hope however my cramps are getting worse and feeling really grumpy need to find some enthusiasm to do decorations this weekend....whilst I slowly unfollow those on Facebook with kids starting their elf on the shelf today. Sigh

ImpatientMammy · 01/12/2017 11:06

Congrats @Babydreaming

Thank you @Foreverretro I only had it in a year and a half so hoping that works in my favour and I got a positive OPK today 😆

I know @peterpanwendy the whole reason I got it is I was told over and over fertility immediately returns!!! Since then I've read a lot stating otherwise and it took them 3 months to get the bloody thing out !!

To be fair - it is incredibly rare to not have fertility return soon after Mirena removal. I wouldn't exactly say that not telling someone that is not fair.

HoneyCake86 · 01/12/2017 12:10

Yay impatientmammy good luck!!

Babydreaming · 01/12/2017 12:25

To offer those with Mirena removal hope...

I had mine removed after 2 years and had a very long 1st cycle (6 weeks) and wasn’t tracking ovulation or trying. The following month I got pregnant but it ended in a chemical pregnancy. The next month after that I conceived again and that is now my 11 month old son! Fertility can return. My friend got pregnant immediately after hers was removed !

LG93 · 01/12/2017 12:33

Hopping on the bus late - due to test on Monday, but will go for Sunday to give me a day to get over the result (either my excitement or disappointment!) before going back to work.

Ovulated for the first time since mirena removal in June this month (also have pcos) so hopeful! Good luck to everyone else!!

LostMyBaubles · 01/12/2017 12:39

Babydreaming
Thank you for the reassurance!

Had mine out on the 1st.
Just had what seems like chemical pregnancy (positive then neg tests)

And af was due yesterday (was 28day cycle before coil)
And still nothing

spydie · 01/12/2017 12:45

Congrats @babydreaming that looks positive to me Flowers

slytherindungeon · 01/12/2017 13:02

With my first I had by mirena out at the end of November - had my first period at the start of January and fell pregnant at the end of January (only DTD twice too).

Id had it in for 4 years with no periods at all :)

Don''t scare yourself with stuff on the internet!

Aph413 · 01/12/2017 13:43

Not having much luck at the moment. My opks had started to get some lines that were getting darker. Today and yesterday they were almost blank apart froknthr control line. Not sure where I'm at as I'm getting fertile cm and my temperature has dipped. Dtd plenty this week but I'm starting to feel frustrated that I can't get a positive opk no matter how many I take across the day

HoneyCake86 · 01/12/2017 14:01

Welcome LG!!

nk1605 · 01/12/2017 14:48

@Aph413 what CD are you? I only got a positive OPK yesterday which was CD18. From CD8 I was getting faint lines, or no lines at all. And I was testing twice a day.

nk1605 · 01/12/2017 15:21

Also, I was getting fluctuations right up to CD18. They would be blank, then feint then darker and back to blank. So it can be v frustrating!

ImpatientMammy · 01/12/2017 15:32

@Aph413 I'd assume (from my limited knowledge) you peaked just before they went clear again OPK wise
Thank you everyone with their positive stories. My positive OPK today has really put my mind at ease in thinking the mirena won't make a difference now it's out 🤞 it's all down to my body now that and a bit of good luck x

Aph413 · 01/12/2017 16:27

Nk1605 I'm CD14 right now. Last cycle was 78 days long after the mirena. Everything else seems to be on track and my temperature seemed to suggest ovulation was imminent. Attached my chart for anyone who feels like telling me what's going on

HoneyCake86 · 01/12/2017 17:07

78days! 😱😱😱😱 omg thats so long that would send me potty!! It looks like by your chart that its building up to a fertile period. Fingers crossed you get answers soon xx

HoneyCake86 · 01/12/2017 17:09

I also had a temp dip like yours on mine just before my fertile period so fx its on the way

What thermometers are you all using

Gem173 · 01/12/2017 17:38

I’m using this one. @LostMyBaubles

sophherts · 01/12/2017 17:54

Currently 6dpo (8dpo according to my app but pretty sure I ovulated 6 days ago with ewcm & ovary pain) and driving myself mad with symptom spotting!

I know it's ridiculous because if there's a fertilised egg there then it won't have implanted yet but can't help googling every twinge Sad

When does everyone normally take a test? My af is due a week today

ImpatientMammy · 01/12/2017 18:11

@Gem173 I'm using the Tommie tippie ear one it's unreliable at best.
@sophherts leave it as late as possible or you'll be testing every couple of days (she says after she googled potential due dates whilst ovulating 😂🙈) fingers crossed for you x

LostMyBaubles · 01/12/2017 18:12

Thank you gem
Does it beep?
Don't wanna disturb hubby while he's sleeping lol

LostMyBaubles · 01/12/2017 18:13

Impatient it's supposed to be either oral or vaginal thermometer iirc

FruitandNutty · 01/12/2017 18:15

@sophherts I’m pretty much same as you - 7dpo today! My AF or bfp is due end of next week. I am the same constantly googling but I really have googled everything now that there’s nothing left to learn Blush !

sophherts · 01/12/2017 18:24

@FruitandNutty I know!! I think I'm secretly trying to find one article or post that confirms that the weird twinge I'm getting in my foot means that I'm pregnant Grin
