December Bus - Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

I’m 23
TTC #1
Cycle: 2

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise! SmileHalloween GrinStar

I'm not feeling the drag yet but we're really busy this month so hopefully that will stop me becoming a crazy person. I've heard it can take 6 weeks for a period post mirena but fertility is meant to return immediately 🤔 it's so confusing just gunna OPK and temp and hope for the best 🤞(clearly I'm obsessing a lot more than I'm admitting to myself) can't wait till the group gets another BFP keep us all going x

LookingAtTheStars89 · 30/11/2017 23:34

@FruitandNutty My period is possibly due next Friday of it's a 28 day cycle. Time does seem to be dragging!

Foreverretro · 01/12/2017 04:57

@ImpatientMammy I think there’s a few of us on here who have had the mirena out quite recently - for me my first cycle was 45 days, then my second was only 30 but I didn’t ovulate in the second cycle. This is my third cycle & I’m now on CD15 and hopefully going to ovulate this weekend (as per 2 out of the 3 tracking apps I’m using 😂).

In some cases it can take up to a years for your body to return to normal after the mirena (which I have only found out since having mine removed) so try not to obsess over it too much for now (that’s a major case of do as I say not as I do!) & hopefully it won’t take that long for you!

Good luck Smile

Anybody else feel like us women are not properly educated on the side effects of contraception? It's terrible!

Happy December Everyone!!! Time for those advent calendars!

So I caved a day early and tested and now I’m kicking myself. See pic below.

It’s a VERY faint line - its a bit darker than the pic in reality but no where near the control. Last time this happened it was a chemical and I didn’t have any implantation bleeding.

Now I feel more anxious than before! Would have been very accepting of a BFP this month as was expected and we wanted to start properly trying next month for a September baby.

I’ve only been using cheap OPKs and PTs from amazon so not sure how sensitive they are.

I’m 9/10dpo

I'm out of tests now, but my temp has been climbing over the last few days, today it's gone up 0.14! Had a bit of spotting on Wednesday and one tiny bit yesterday, typical pre af spotting.

Example of my temps are - last Friday 36.74.
Then the last 4 days have been - 36.86, 36.90, 36.96 and today - 37.14?!?!?! If AF ends up coming, it's going to be really cruel as these temps are getting my hopes up!!

Babydreaming · 01/12/2017 06:12

SORRY I meant accepting of a BFN

Fia256 · 01/12/2017 06:13

Sorry got myself confused there, today's was 37.09, which is a 0.14 jump from yesterday x

FruitandNutty · 01/12/2017 06:28

@Babydreaming a line is a line! Congratulations!! Test again tomorrow, probably just needs time to build up HCg levels. Also not everyone gets implantation bleeding.

Babydreaming · 01/12/2017 06:29

@fia256 sorry I don’t really understand temping! That sounds positive though? I feel so hot at the moment, was getting night sweats last night even though temp set at sameness as always!

Foreverretro · 01/12/2017 06:44

@Babydreaming that looks like a line to me - congratulations! Everything crossed that it sticks for you!

Sparklesdontshine · 01/12/2017 06:53

Eeek @babydreaming that looks promising!!!

I'm not bothering testing today I'm that sure that I'm out. I have spent a fortune on first response this month, and have none left now so I'm just waiting for af to arrive over the weekend.

FruitandNutty · 01/12/2017 06:59

@LookingAtTheStars89 mine is due next Saturday so one day after you! It still feels so far away doesn’t it.

Babydreaming · 01/12/2017 07:02

Do you mind if I stay on this thread til it darkens? I’m not convinced it’s going to stick! I’m not telling anyone else (including my husband) so it’s nice to talk to others about it!

I’ll tell my husband in one week if it’s still positive (will be my babies 1st birthday 1 week today so will be double celebration!)

Gem173 · 01/12/2017 07:05

Cd 11 Temps back up from 35.97 to 36.17 so hopefully it stays risen in time for my ovulation dip/rise :)

Fia256 · 01/12/2017 07:08

@Babydreaming that's definitely a bfp congratulations! Let's hope this is going to be a lucky thread!

Gem173 · 01/12/2017 07:10

I see a faint line @Babydreaming so looks positive! Fx it darkens and sticks x

Fia256 · 01/12/2017 07:27

I've just used one of the tests on my clear blue monitor. Knew it would be pointless as got a bfn on frer yesterday morning and I know the CB aren't as sensitive. Came up as not pregnant, but then when I took the stick out the machine, I can see a very faint second line. Don't know what to think as I know you can't really trust blue dye!

Owlpatrol · 01/12/2017 08:37

@Babydreaming @Fia256 snap did an ic this morning and a bfn for me as expected although I was getting my hopes up as we had this cheese yesterday and the smell made me gip! Anyway af due sunday or Monday fairly certain I'm out Sad

louella99 · 01/12/2017 08:43

@Babydreaming congratulations and fingers crossed you get some even better tests as the days go by Smile

Merrz · 01/12/2017 09:02

So this bus is officially moving, Happy December everyone!!

@Babydreaming that definitely looks positive, hope it sticks for you and I like your thinking of keeping it to yourself for a week, if i ever get a bfp i plan to do the same.
Peterpanwendy Totally agree about not being well informed about the side effects of contraception, i was on the pill for almost 14 years, going back to the nurse yearly for my repeat prescription, was never once asked if i'd thought about alternative or warned about the time for your cycles to get back to normal etc, it's so bad!

I'm cd 5, over the depression of af arriving this cycle and feeling positive again, fertile week starting end of next week so getting geared up for all the dtd. Then af/bfp fx due xmas day/boxing day.

Fia256 · 01/12/2017 09:43

Ah @Owlpatrol if it's only an ic cheapy though that could be why? I'm definitely out, I've got that empty tummy ache feeling that I always get when AF is starting. Feel deflated today now

Babydreaming · 01/12/2017 09:47

My husband is working from home today and just tried to initiate dtd! It turned my stomach which was the same as last time I was pregnant...it made me feel sick everytime he kissed me haha! Such an unfortunate symptom. I have just pretended I have a bad headache today as didn’t sleep well (which is actually true!)

Babydreaming · 01/12/2017 09:48

I’m going to pretend my period has arrived later so that I don’t have havebto keep asking up excuses all week of why I’m not feeling in the mood!

HoneyCake86 · 01/12/2017 10:03

Babydreaming i defo see a line. Id wait for that to get darker though to confirm
