Right. I'm off to investigate the thread and see if I can point out who they are

coastalchick · 22/10/2017 16:39

Oh flat, sorry you're bleeding again. This whole thing sucks. Wish o was hermione grainger and could wave a magic wand for us all to get BFP's that stick!!!!!

Daffodil77 · 22/10/2017 17:01

2nd response hit the nail on the head! - "I don’t think this will go as you wish. It is a very emotive subject."

My mum had two of each. She must've been unbearably smug.

Imagine that having nothing worse to worry about!

Daffodil77 · 22/10/2017 17:04

@Flat I hope it's just weird spotting and doesn't mean anything bad. Hopefully it won't be too long a wait after your appointment to know for sure whether your hormones are ok or not.

Flatwhite31 · 22/10/2017 17:14

Thanks @coastalchick and @Daffodil77. I just want my body to be back to normal. It's also such a horrible reminder that I'm not pregnant anymore. My blood tests are on Tuesday, but it usually takes a week for bloods to come back.

DaisyMay25 · 22/10/2017 17:22

@flatwhite sorry your body still isn’t right. I’ve had spotting for past two days and now AF has turned up. At least that means I’ll be ovulating around my honeymoon!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 22/10/2017 17:28

I thought the same Daffodil77

My mum had 3 girls and a boy (stillborn at 8 months- I'm technically the oldest but not really). She was the pregnant with me, who had growth problems from the start and was delivered at 24 weeks by emergency c-section and 100% expected to die overnight. I honestly don't think she gave a single crap with anything other than every one of us making it out okay. Thankfully she had two uneventful pregnancies afterwards.

The things people say when it's so irrelevant is crazy

Flatwhite31 · 22/10/2017 18:38

Wow your mum went through so much @UnicornsandRainbows1.

I need to stop looking at that thread. Someone just posted on there that it was a 'bit sad' to have one of each! There are no words...

KerryLeanne84 · 22/10/2017 19:29

Definitely try to stop looking at it if you can flat ❤️ I've been tempted to look at some threads I was in when I was pregnant but I know it'll make me feel so much worse.

Daffodil77 · 22/10/2017 20:00

@kerry I've almost done that a few times to but no good can come of it! Just need to remind myself that. I struggle to look at a lot of the threads in the conception section now.

di626 · 22/10/2017 20:09

That is an awful thread! I just got my first period today after MMC after 5 days of spotting, hopefully body will regulate. Wish all you ladies well & hopefully some BFP’s soon with happy endings 😊

Flatwhite31 · 22/10/2017 21:02

I have just bought a fertility book, as there's definitely something not right, so I'm going to try everything I can to reset my body. Really scared about what my blood tests will reveal.

di626 · 22/10/2017 21:18

I think myself my hormones are out of whack as well flat. I had blood tests last Dec & Jan & they came back low progesterone & not ovulating. I have gotten pregnant twice since then so obviously ovulating but m/c’d both times. I have a private appointment with gynae now in couple of weeks as NHS wont do anymore for me unless have 3rd m/c! Im 35 so feel time is ticking on 😔

Flatwhite31 · 22/10/2017 21:51

I'm so sorry @di626. I'm fairly sure I'm low on progesterone too, as the symptoms I don't now get before my period are all linked to low progesterone. However, there's nothing you can buy to help it here. You can get cream over the counter in the USA, but not here. I'm going to New York in Feb, so if I'm bit pregnant by then, I'll get myself some.

di626 · 22/10/2017 22:01

Flat im thinking of buying it here

Lotty515 · 22/10/2017 22:27

I am so confused with my body at the moment. I had a little light spotting this morning which I took for being the start of my MC bleeding having had a scan on the 12th which suggested a missed MC. Off to A and E I go but am told as long as there are no clots and the pain isn't too bad to monitor and come for a second scan on Friday. It is possible to have my dates so wrong that I had a chemical pregnancy in Sept (after a BFP) and then somehow became pregnant a month later with no period??? This would explain the first scan showing very underdeveloped baby.Desperate women clutching at straws I know but TTC does that to you Confused

yellowfrontdoor · 23/10/2017 06:28

@Lotty515 when I got pregnant after mc with no period, I technically should have been 8 weeks, but I was only just 5, so I guess it happened to me.

I wouldn’t want to give anyone false hope though; so I’ll just say that I’ll keep everything crossed for you xx

@Flatwhite31 what is this American cream? Have you got a link?

voxnihili · 23/10/2017 06:38

@Flatwhite31 - sorry I never responded to you. I'm SLT in secondary - love it but it is quite stressful.

I'm so glad I started tracking my periods. My cycles have always been a little irregular which worried me. Since I started tracking I always ovulated day 16/17 and my cycles seemed to have settled down. This month, I got flashing smileys from day 12 so thought it would be another 16 day ovulation but I didn't get a static smiley and positive on a cheap test until day 20 (I know it is a waste to use both but recently upgraded to clearblue but was worried about the 5 days in a row of flashing smileys). It has been a really stressful week so maybe that explains my slightly odd cycles.

Lotty515 · 23/10/2017 07:54

@yellowfrontdoor thank you - I know everyone is different but it is good to hear it is possible. I am glad it happened for you.

Have a lovely week everyone x

Flatwhite31 · 23/10/2017 08:08

@yellowfrontdoor I've read online that you can buy progesterone cream, but I've only seen it on American websites. However, @di626 posted a link below to one which is available on a U.K. Website.

Juancornetto · 23/10/2017 08:30

And so the two weeks of hopeful twattery begin. I'm quite sensible and realistic about my chances the other half of the month but every 2ww I become convinced that this is the month (rolling eyes emoticon)

beanhunter · 23/10/2017 11:10

I suspect I'm technically now in the 2ww but determined to ignore it and studiously drink holiday cocktails until we get home next Sunday. The challenge of an open door into daughters bedroom and knowing o is likely around now is interesting. Oh well, willing to give it a shot!
Actually realised I got my bfp with my now 5 year old on bonfire night. Will be due period on that day. Trying to not see it as a sign!

mummykezza · 23/10/2017 11:35

Hi everyone, just catching up on messages.

Am 7 dpo today and desperate to test even though I know it would show nothing. Didn't allow myself a full cycle after our MC last month and just went for it again, although I think we dtd late (got my positive opk sat am and couldn't dtd until sun pm), but still holding out hope

Its so funny, after the MC I had some time when I thought I made peace with what happened and ready to try again. Now in the tww I keep getting really sad again.

I've cut out all alcohol (making it harder haha), but still drinking caffeine. Thinking of stopping this as well, can't believe I haven't so far - how bad is that. Also been taking asprin. Think I can test on Thursday so wishing my week away.

Don't get me started on insensitive people!! How can some people not be aware of the affect their own words can have. Truly shocking

Juancornetto · 23/10/2017 14:22

Good luck @mummykezza Smile when I conceived DD we dtd when I thought it was too late so there's always hope! x

yellowfrontdoor · 23/10/2017 15:40

@Lotty515 unfortunately I did go on to lose that baby too; but it wasn’t because I didn’t have a gap, just one of those things.

@Flatwhite31 thanks for the info. Going to look into it.
