Magpie - I googled a lot about mucus the other day as I had some weird stuff and found a lot of sites saying pink tinged ewcm is the most fertile stuff, so it's good!

KerryLeanne84 · 13/10/2017 17:18

This is what the aspirin I get from Tesco looks like. It's under a pound for a months worth

I had blood tinged cm for 2 cycles after my second miscarriage. It lasted for a few days. I obviously went straight to google and saw the theories about it meaning you were ovulating (apparently some blood can come when the egg pops out) but for me I think it was just my cycles getting back to normal/old blood left over from mc as it lasted a few days so don't think it can have been due to egg pop. I had medical management for my second mc which didn't really work properly and/or I had a bad reaction to so I wonder if that was what made things go a bit bonkers...

Fillybee · 13/10/2017 17:28

@love thanks for the info. It's interesting what you say about the bloods needing to be done on a certain day, cos my GP did them after second mc- they came up fine but he didn't do them on day 3 of af so maybe they'll need to be done again xx

yellowfrontdoor · 13/10/2017 18:03

That telegraph article makes for interesting reading.
I was advised to take aspirin next pregnancy from bfp but I think I’ll start taking it earlier, it doesn’t seem to do any harm & aids blood flow pre-conception which can only be a good thing 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Juancornetto · 13/10/2017 18:39

First month I took aspirin after ttc with no joy for 20 months I conceived DD. I also took clomid that month and had just had a polyp removed but my fertility Dr said neither of those would make a difference - I just insisted on clomid before trying ivf.

dudemeister76 · 13/10/2017 19:54

I think I'm gonna go for the aspirin next cycle. Ive started spotting this evening so I'm out !!! soooooo depressing! trying to keep my chin up though. Im on third cycle after mmc in july and still haven't got back into a proper rhythm cycle wise. If i come on tomorrow properly that will change my luteal phase to 13 days instead of 15. I'm not concerned with the length really but it may help others to know that i think your hormones are out of tune for a while. My hair is falling out too! I'm having a kebab to cheer myself up temporarily.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 13/10/2017 21:13

@dudemeister76 kebab sounds amazing! I’ve just finished yoga and only have 200 calories left for the day 😭

I’m done putting on a brave face with this TTC thing, it makes you feel so powerless even if you do everything you can, as scientifically as you can. Convinced myself now that I’m subconsciously too scared of getting pregnant to get pregnant 🤔 which is bloody ridiculous (my mc was physically traumatic and I have quite bad health anxiety ) ... but at this point I don’t know what else to think. Done everything right for the last 5 cycles. Nothing. Now I’ve recalculated ovulation I potentially have another two days of limbo, and this is already my longest cycle since January. Cd32 today. Praying for two lines in the morning.

Still spotting lightly and I got a BFN this morning (13dpo) I really should just move on with this cycle but I know I won't until the bitch Is really here!!!! I'm going to see my beautiful granddaughter to cheer me up today. She's only just turned 1 and is too gorgeous for misery lol. Hope you get your two lines grumpy xx🙏

TheGrumpySquirrel · 14/10/2017 06:40

Cheapy and FRER both negative so I need to stop wasting tests and just wait for AF. Cd33 and fed up!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 14/10/2017 06:40

Flatwhite31 · 14/10/2017 08:40

BFN at 10 dpo. Pretty sure I'm out! Got a positive at 10 DPO last time. Really gutted Sad.

Daffodil77 · 14/10/2017 08:45

Hi all, I've been stalking your thread for a while since my MC at 7/8 weeks at the end of August. We conceived on cycle 3 and I still feel lucky it happened so quickly, as close family members have had long IVF journeys.

Even just following you guys has been a big help and support to see I'm not the only one going through this.

The MC didn't affect me too much in itself as 2 weeks after my sister passed away from cancer. However in my mind the 2 things are very linked because I spent the last few weeks with her talking about my pregnancy. My last conversation with her was telling her about my miscarriage, as her final downturn was a bit unexpected. I've just started counseling to try and deal with everything. No one other than DH and my best friend know about my pregnancy/MC. I couldn't do it to my family at an already terrible time.

Anyway, I finally decided to join you guys because I'm getting downhearted about my cycles not going back to normal. I had my first period 2 weeks after. Since then cycle length has been 18 and 14?! This time I checked for ov earlier and got a positive Opk on cd7, but temps since then didn't really rise. Like the rest of you, I just want to get Pg again. At the moment it feels like my body isn't ready.

KerryLeanne84 · 14/10/2017 09:03

Grumpy and flat - I'm so sorry about the negative tests. They could turn into positives but they also could not and I think you're right grumpy that torturing yourself by taking one every day isn't a good idea.

Daffodil - welcome, and woah. You've been through so so much, I'm so sorry! What happened to your sister? What an awful thing to go through at the same time as your miscarriage too. Even in dark times pregnancies bring hope for the future so I'm so sorry your pregnancy ended.

How old are you/ how long had you been trying?

dudemeister76 · 14/10/2017 09:23

daffodil I'm sure I recognise your name from an older thread? Jeez you've been through it haven't you? My heart really goes out to you. You've got a shitload of grieving to do for both your sister and your lost baby. I can't imagine how tough this is for you. Try not to put to much pressure on yourself though xxx I'd be interested to know how old you are too, as an older TTCer I understand the need to crack on asap. I miscarried in July and cycles still aren't normal. Xxx massive hugs to you. You're in the best place for kind words and support here xxx

grumpy me and my eggs are feeling about 90 but I'm just about to turn 41 on the 21st next week. I have a 19 year old son (hence the granddaughter)

Flatwhite31 · 14/10/2017 09:31

I'm so sorry @Daffodil77. You've been through so much, bless you. My body also doesn't feel right since my MMC on August 23rd. Have you been to see your GP?

It is a bit like torture @KerryLeanne84, you're right. I dread to think what I'm going to be like when my period shows up next week. Sod's law I'll get it on my birthday.

Daffodil77 · 14/10/2017 09:32

I'm only 30 and been trying since April so not too old or too long in the grand scheme of things.

My sister was the one I spoke to about all this stuff so that's been the hardest thing so far.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 14/10/2017 09:34

@Daffodil77 Oh Daffodil, that's a lot of emotions to go through in one go Sad I can't even imagine how devastating that must be. I hope the counselling helps you out a bit.

We're all here to support you Flowers

Daffodil77 · 14/10/2017 10:11

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm fortunate that my MC resolved itself quickly. I can't imagine how I'd feel with what some of you have been through.

Not been to the GP yet as I imagine they'd just tell me to be patient.

Flatwhite31 · 14/10/2017 10:15

Possibly @Daffodil77, unless you find a good GP, or say that you're worried about it, and you don't need another worry with everything else on your mind. I'm sick of doctors and medical things, but I am going to go back and ask for some hormone tests. If she won't/can't do them, I'll use my savings and get them done privately.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 14/10/2017 12:15

@Daffodil77 welcome, I’m so sorry to hear what you’ve been through ♥️ hope the counselling will help you process it all.

@dudemeister76 this could be me in a few years to be fair as i had my daughter at 18!

@Flatwhite31 10dpo is still very early, how sure are you of ovulation date? I thought I ovulated on cd19 which would make me 14dpo today but turns out it’s probably cd21 which makes me 12DPO! I got a BFP at 10dpo last time too, so I understand your disappointment. Wait a couple of days if yo can. My brain is refusing to give up all hope yet as I’ve seen ff charts of people getting negatives at 13/14dpo before a BFP!

Yay! My new thermometer arrived... when in the cycle do you start taking your temp? I'm only cd4 atm.
Af is starting to stop so depsite being so heavy at first its now how it would normally be 4 days in.. few!

The baby aspirin- when do you start taking this?

I'm going to start eating foods that help with the follicular phase.
Lots and lots of Cruciferous veggies, nuts and eggs. Until around ovulation. Good job i like veggies.

KerryLeanne84 · 14/10/2017 15:35

You might as well start both straight away blue - good timing with the thermometer
