Congrats filly!

yellowfrontdoor · 12/10/2017 12:12

Looking promising @Fillybee !! Maybe do a frer in a few days time 🤞🏻

Thank you for everyone’s recommendations. I’ve ordered a babymad bbt & downloaded the Ovia app. Can’t wait for it to get here!!

Counsellor call went ok, I nearly chickened out but didn’t. We have our first appointment on Monday.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 12/10/2017 12:42

yellow aww im glad the call went well. Goodluck for your appt.
I like the baby mad one! Its good.. plus at £3.75 you can't complain! Ovia is my fav app I've tried a few and i feel like it's the simplest.

Feeling crampy today and expect AF to show by tomorrow morning ,if not before. I have 2 nice bottles of 🍷 at home waiting for me! However I urgently need to lose weight, I’ve put on over a stone since the mc which is a lot in a short time. It’s so hard to have the willpower when I’m feeling this down though

OP posts:
beanhunter · 12/10/2017 12:47

Seconding the heavy periods. 2nd month post mc for me and Still v heavy.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 12/10/2017 12:48

mummy i mainly did strength building exercises followed by 20-30mins of cardio even if it was just running on the spot or dancing in my kitchen. Alsong as you get the heart pumping hard for a min of 20 -30mins daily ( and a cool down) then that's great. I love the Davina Butt bridge excerise- I love to feel the burn. I stopped exercising when i got pg.. so I'll start again in a day or so once this awful heavy af starts to stop being so awful and heavy lol

dudemeister76 · 12/10/2017 13:12

grumpy i don't know if this will help you but i have found that tracking what i eat helps me enormously. I use an app called myfitnesspal on my phone and you can set the amount of calories you want to hit everyday and you scan and recored stuff you eat. It gets easier as the app remembers everything you eat. I fell pregnant the last time i got into it and lost a lot of weight. Im doing it again and it gets me away from permanently thinking about ttc. i do go to the gym aswell but walking really helps me and it makes a huge difference to calorie burn plus it blows the cobwebs away. i hope you don't mind me suggesting this lol.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 12/10/2017 13:49

I second myfitnesspal. It's really handy and you'd be surprised how bad or good things are for you.

dudemeister76 · 12/10/2017 14:07

I've also got a link to another site that calculates how many calories you need based on your height, weight, gender and activity level.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 12/10/2017 14:43

Well I'm off to work, plus an extra hour, and just before I left, what do you know, a speck of blood when I wiped. So now I've had to take precautions with a pad sharpish and didn't have the time to even see what it could be Angry 3 days early, really??!

mummykezza · 12/10/2017 14:57

hey grumpy I had the same problem, about a stone on in such a short time. I also love my red wine (when not pregnant of course). Weight watchers lets me have some wine if I claw back points with a light dinner. Just need to get exercising as well.

If AF arrives just enjoy a glass or two, why not! Maybe have the first one later in the evening so you only have one.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 12/10/2017 15:22

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve got MFP and have used it in the past but I’m so lazy with the food logging! I think I need to just be more disciplined 😫

I had my flashing smiley this morning, but this afternoon I had a negative...... Is this normal? Do you think I missed a super fast surge or do you think it's to do with the concentrated urine?

Two tests in and i'm already a stress head about this all again Confused

Flatwhite31 · 12/10/2017 17:04

Wow lots of messages! Congrats @Fillybee, very exciting! X

Flatwhite31 · 12/10/2017 17:06

@mummykezza could it be that your urine was too diluted this afternoon? Diluted urine can give false results on opks.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 12/10/2017 17:55

Still crampy still no AF. Praying on the outside hope that I ovulated 2 days later and that’s why my tests have been negative. Please let there still be a chance! Argh

Oh and I think 1600 calories is maintenance for me. So to lose I need to eat 1200-1300 on days where I don’t exercise. That’s so little! I exercise 3-4 times a week (hot yoga- burning around 300 cal a time). Food is my weakness (carbs)

Hi all
Well saw the professor all of my tests were normal so am of course pleased with that! But unfortunately there is still one thing standing in our way!! A few weeks after my mmc I was still experiencing a lot of pain so EPU/AGU booked me for a scan & a D&C (they thought I still had tissue) it turns out that it was my uterus contracting trying to get back to normal & what they thought was the tissue was actually a polyp!! I was told that the polyp would not not affect us conceiving or keeping a pregnancy (was also told this by a gynae registrar) at an appointment at the gynae clinic in late April the registrar & myself agreed that the polyp should be removed (I've had the lletz procedure-cancerous cells removed 9 yrs ago) so with my history the polyp should go, I was booked in for this 12th June this year but I was 4 wks pregnant so obviously couldn't have it done 3 weeks later I miscarried. So long & short of it is my tests are all perfect but the professor wants the polyp removed, wait for 1 period then start ttc again. As soon as I get a bfp I have to see professor immediately to start meds. Although in highnsight this is good news I feel absolutely deflated😢 For the 1st time since my mmc I have felt the excitement & positivity in ttc but have now got to wait another 3-4 months before we can even try again, which I feel angry about as we were told that this poxy polyp was not a concern😡😡 I feel like a bug that has been splattered with a newspaper!!! Sorry for the rant girls I know I'm lucky to be looked after by rmc but I feel so low... hugs to you all❤️

www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm

grumpy i use this to work out daily calorie intake. This accounts for the exercise so you stick to the same amount of calories everyday. You don't 'earn' calories by exercising if you know what i mean. I find this easier to stick to and a more balanced way of hitting the numbers. If you use MFP just don't log exercise as this will give you extra calories. Also walk everywhere! this is basically easy steady state cardio and really helps.

Glitterbug76 · 12/10/2017 18:53

lovemysparkle
pleased your other tests came back ok ,
It is frustrating but when it's all sorted I'm sure it will be ok , and their will be nothing standing in your way
What meds with you be on ?

Flatwhite31 · 12/10/2017 18:58

I'm really worried something is wrong with my hormone levels. Before my pregnancy, I ALWAYS got really tender boobs the week before AF. My boobs were also super tender throughout the 12 weeks of pregnancy I experienced. I had absolutely no breast discomfort before my first period after the ERPC. My second period is due next Wed and my boobs aren't sore in the slightest. I've never had this in my entire life. It's really stressing me out that something is wrong, and it has been caused by the MMC and I'd ERPC. Sad I'm losing sleep over it!

Fillybee · 12/10/2017 19:11

Thanks everyone, I'll keep doing a test every morning (can't resist), hopefully af doesn't make an appearance over the weekend.

Re hungry at ovulation, I am often very hungry in the week leading up to bfp. My other main sign is that I get quite tearful, I generally have a bit of a random cry just before I get bfp.

@love glad your tests were all good. Must be reassuring to know you are being seen by a Professor- the best of the best!! Damn that pesky polyp... the wait must be frustrating...

@coastal so sorry you have insensitive people around you Sad

Fillybee · 12/10/2017 19:14

@flat Maybe see how you get on up to Wednesday then if no different perhaps you could explain your concerns and ask for a hormone blood test? I had some weird mid cycle bleeding for 2 periods after last 2nd miscarriage, hasn't happened since so think sometimes it must take a while to sort itself out xx

Glitterbug76 · 12/10/2017 19:16

Fillybe
Amazing news ! So pleased for you

Flatwhite31 · 12/10/2017 19:23

I think I will @Fillybee. I'm so upset, as I'm sick of doctors and medical things. I just want to be pregnant with the baby we conceived in June! I'm so bloody sick of it all.
