I’m going to buy a BBT to take the guesswork out of opks.

I can’t remember who else does them on here... @TheGrumpySquirrel is it you?

yellowfrontdoor · 11/10/2017 19:37

Sorry meant to add... does anyone have a fave brand or app to go with it? Looking on amazon but it’s all a little overwhelming.

Lovemysparkle · 11/10/2017 19:55

I am very lucky to have such a great dp (although he's had his cave man moments 🙈) I have been not easy sometimes to understand/console throughout this journey especially when wanting answers & no buggar can give them to me!!! That's one of the hardest things for me personally. Hopefully will get some tomorrow at rmc! The professor will have all of my results in front of him & no doubt I will get verbal diarrhoea with all of my new knowledge on miscarriage, clotting issues, lutheal phase, dodgy eggs my age etc🙈🙈🙈 we have been trying to keep ourselves grounded & not pin our hopes on this appointment but at the same time be positive! We have not been ttc for last 3 months so I could have all tests done (all swabs, transvaginal scan whilst not pregnant & blood tests between day 2-5 of period) ironic isn't it we have been using protection to hopefully get our baby!!! Also had to be careful as we get married June 2018 obviously doesn't matter in the slightest about being pregnant when we marry but it would be our luck that I would go into labour whilst saying our vows 🙈 The last few months have been really testing but we have tried to be sensible as we feel we need to wait for the test results & start with a clean slate if that makes sense?? Getting pregnant isn't the problem but keeping them is!
Yellow I hope your phone call goes well & you find it helpful 😘
Blue af is a bitch but I admire your positive thinking 👍🏼
Flat I really hope half term comes quickly for you & you can have some "you" time 😁
Sorry if I've missed anyone but hugs for you all

Flatwhite31 · 11/10/2017 20:08

Just got sent this by a lovely colleague of mine. She's nearly 30 weeks pregnant, so I'm so so touched that she thought of me.

@Flatwhite31 that’s so beautiful x

Purplepjs · 11/10/2017 20:43

That's lovely.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 11/10/2017 20:50

Well AF hasn't arrived which after the crappy shift I've had is a relief. I'm due on on Sunday but it feels like it'll happen before then.

@Lovemysparkle Good luck for tomorrow.

@Flatwhite That's so kind of her to think of you. Thank you for sharing it with us too

MissMagpie · 11/10/2017 21:51

Let us know how it goes Sparkle. Fingers crossed that they have either found nothing wrong and you can get pregnant again or it's something easily treatable.

I am really interested to hear more about the tests they have done on you at the RMC as I don't really know what's in store for me. xx

Glitterbug76 · 11/10/2017 21:59

Evening ladies I don't know what it is when some one tells you that they or someone family or freind is pregnant it feels that some one has punched you in the stomach and how many of smile when are hearts ♥️ are breaking or walk past the baby things.
I was in Aldi the other night and their was a girl who was pie eyed around 8 months pregnant and I just walked out , I genuinely think some people who've never experienced a mc don't understand and think it's forgotten within a month or two , my thoughts are with everyone here x

KerryLeanne84 · 12/10/2017 07:10

yellow I recommend the Kindara app. I use s normal electronic thermometer with it. You just have to take your temp every morning after waking up and before moving around.

The app has helped me to identify that I always ovulate on day 18 and that my luteal phase is therefore only 10 days which I raised with my consultant.

I've attached my current months chart though I'm only on day 20 right now. The idea is that temps spike in your luteal phase due to your body producing progesterone. If implantation occurs you can see a temporary dip in your temps and generally if it dips right towards when you're expecting your period that's a pretty good sign you're not pregnant. Whereas if your temperature stays really high, it's a pretty good sign you are!

Let me know if you have any other questions

8 dpo and not a single symptom. Cried all last night. 7 weeks on, and I just can't seem to feel better at all.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 12/10/2017 08:23

Anyone else use the 'baby mad' bbt thermometer? I've just ordered that one again.
I only really use bbt to confirm ovulation.
This chart is from when i conceived in June.. Maybe if i plotted everyday after ovulation i would have seen implantation. See that's something I'll put more effort into this cycle. I got a bfp at 9dpo on the 2nd July. My chart wasn't even looking good! :/ and that pregnancy didn't end until 12+5. I use Ovia x

flat :( hugs xx

Omg, my first af is so heavy! I'm wearing maternity pads.. not even going to waste my time with a tampon. Glad I'm not back at work until tomorrow this is crazy.

Lovemysparkle · 12/10/2017 08:31

Flat I know how you feel & it's so hard to digest/cope withall of these emotions/feelings, lots of people have told me to "just relax" & it will happen (I wanted to punch all of them in the head!!) & all of this advice people give me have never been through mc!! We are all different & cope differently & I promise you will find your way❤️

Filly & miss magpie I will fill you in on everything today & if anyone wants any advice/info please let me know 👍🏼

The not knowing has been a major issue for me & the "what ifs" hopefully I'll be in the loop later!!

dudemeister76 · 12/10/2017 08:37

Hey yellow i have been temping since my miscarriage in July and its been fantastic to get a true insight into my cycle which i never really had before. I use the fertility friend app with a bbt i got off amazon which measures to two decimal points. Ive been using them with opk's which has pinpointed the day of ovulation. You have to record all other symptoms too and add notes which really help to get a picture of whats going on. Its helped keep me sane in a way because i know for a fact I've ovulated or not and also that I've definitely ravaged my poor husband at the right time. can try and get the link for the thermometer if you like it was only 12 quid or so. Ps good luck with the call. xx

Fillybee · 12/10/2017 08:45

@love thanks for the info, sounds like they do loads of tests! The midwife I spoke to here said they only do blood tests?! Which I was a bit disheartened by as my GP already did them. Unless your hospital is a specialist centre and that's why they do more?

I think I have a squinter today (10dpo) so am hopeful... although as we didn't wait till I had a period after the last mc and as this is the 4th pregnancy this year, it's more of a 'here we go again' rather than very celebratory xx

Fillybee · 12/10/2017 08:48

?squinter? 10dpo

TheGrumpySquirrel · 12/10/2017 09:04

For temping, fertility friend is the best app IMO. Temp dropped yesterday although it’s now back up but I’m not holding out any hope as had another negative FRER this morning and af is due tomorrow. Really sad, not even a sniff of a line since my mc in May. Onto cycle 6.

Sorry filly I cannot see anything on that but those tests take a while to show. Get yourself a FRER. Good luck

Morning ladies

So I braved the scales as weight watchers and was every bit as bad as I expected Blush but hey ho, hard bit done. Today is a new day and ready to be healthy. @BlueeSpottyTiger how do you do an hour a night, thats amazing. What do you do? I have Davina dvds I'm going to dust off

I got a flashing smiley today which is 3 weeks after my MC. Thing is as much as I don't want to wait, I'm just not in the mood to dtd at all at the moment. Think its everything thats happened and feeling really fat and frumpy. I'll wait until it gets to a solid smiley and may just have to force myself to get on with it (lovely description, sorry dh haha) as I know I'll kick myself if I let this opportunity pass. Why did this all have to become a chore and not natural x

KerryLeanne84 · 12/10/2017 09:43

Has anyone every experienced ravenous hunger just after ov before? I am eating everything in sight and still feel hungry! 😬

GreyCloudsToday · 12/10/2017 10:05

Wow filly I see it congratulations, fingers crossed it keeps darkening!!

AF's here. I cried for an hour last night, the hormones seem really intense post mc. Yikes about the bleeding Bluee and Haybay

Welcome sparkle, hope you get a treatment protocol sorted soon at the rmc.

I'm off to the shop to buy crap to eat.

coastalchick · 12/10/2017 11:19

Congrats filly!!!

So my room mate at work has just asked someone in front of me how their newborn is despite her knowing I've had a miscarriage. Why are people so fucking insensitive?!

Glitterbug76 · 12/10/2017 11:55
