Although saying that, I've just done an OPK and this is the result, what do you reckon?? Looks pretty positive to me?? Could it be that I've ovulated 2 weeks after the miscarriage took place, rather than 2 weeks after HCG reaches 0?? I did an OPK last week and was not like this

There's no right or wrong thing to do in that situation grumpy ❤️ You're in shock and huge pain. I didn't want to see anything which is partly why I opted for an immediate erpc but I've heard of many women who've looked at the foetal sac or buried it or flushed it - it's completely normal however you react and I'm sorry you feel guilt about it now ❤️

KerryLeanne84 · 01/10/2017 21:57

You're right filly that's very positive! I'd say jump on your oh 😊

Fillybee · 01/10/2017 22:10

Thanks @Kerry

Flatwhite31 · 01/10/2017 22:14

It looks really positive @Fillybee. I had a positive OPK 2 weeks after, but in my case it was left over HCG (confirmed by a faint BFP). If you have had a bfn since your MC, that's definitely a genuine positive OPK. Exciting!

Fillybee · 01/10/2017 22:22

With my first mc at 8 weeks I flushed it. I wasn't really sure what it was but after the bleeding had finished I realised that must have been it and felt awful for flushing. My next miscarriage was an anembryonic pregnancy. Had medical management that didn't work and by the time I passed the sac about 10 weeks, it was this humongous thing. I passed it in the hospital and they sent it off, I think because they thought it was a molar. I signed the form for the hospital to have it cremated but I didn't feel that sentimental about it as it was an empty sac. My latest miscarriage at 7.5, the sac came out perfectly intact and it was transparent and I could see something inside but not clearly. It was like a marble. I was in Italy at the time and really wanted to bring it back to bury it, because I felt bad about the first one. So I had to improvise with available bathroom materials, but managed to get it back in one piece and we buried it in the garden. I was dreading my bag getting checked at the airport but luckily it didn't.

There's no right or wrong thing to do. TBH now that it's in the garden I'm not sure I feel any better about it than the one I flushed. Everytime I'm in the garden I look at the spot and feel sad. At least with the first one I didn't have a constant reminder. I'm not sure what I'll do if it happens again xxx

It's horrible isn't it :( my heart goes out to all of us 💖
I just picked my knickers up with the baby in and placed them in the bin. I was 12+5.
I couldn't believe you go through a mini labour at that stage. No one said my waters would break or i would see the baby, They just said to expect it to be a like a "Bad period'. What a massive understatement the pain was as bad as being about 7cm dialated with dd's labour.

Elpheba aww that would be a great present wouldn't it!! Goodluck!
My 25th birthday is the day before when i predict I'll get my first af since the mc (11th). I'm hoping for an extra special present of a bfp xx

beanhunter · 02/10/2017 07:12

No wanting to see was one of the reasons I had an erpc. I'm still relieved I chose that. We had a letter yesterday telling us when the cremation is - we could chose cremation or burial - it's not individual though, a group of babies together.
I don't want to go, but I will probably go and visit where her ashes are at some point. We know it's a girl and the genetics we're done as we've had several losses and they were normal. This was really devastating - I was hoping they would be abnormal as in time o think that would have helped me come to terms with the fact that it wasn't meant to be - does that make sense?

Fillybee · 02/10/2017 08:38

@bluee so sorry you had to go through that. I just can't imagine what it must be like to have a loss at 12 weeks and after.... when everything appears well and you think you're in the safe zone.

@bluee that completely makes sense, it would have given a reason... Have any of the investigations shown anything? xx

NoCatsHere · 02/10/2017 08:54

filly looks good to me! Defo jump your OH. I defo ov about 2 weeks after my first mc. And I caught it and fell pregnant straight away. That one ended in mmc but not because of the pre period thing, the hospital said it wasn't that at all. Just bad luck.

I had medical management and when the doctor helped remove the largest clot that got stuck she asked if I wanted to look at it. I was feeling so numb though, I said yes but to be honest I couldn't tell what it all was, this was at 10 weeks but baby had stopped at 9. It is really awful we've all had to go through this.

Af is due I think Wednesday. I haven't tested again since Saturday as that was a BFN - whiter than white so will assume it's on it's why and think about next cycle. I'm on holiday then - mid October so hoping to have more chance to dtd in a relaxed way. I just really want to be pregnant by Christmas. Well us all really, not too much to ask is it?!

weasledee · 02/10/2017 09:32

We went to the cremation service the hospital has last week. Our baby was 14 weeks, it was a nice service and we got a bulb to plant in the crematorium grounds. Glad we went x

GreyCloudsToday · 02/10/2017 09:43

I'm so sorry for your awful loss weasledee. That sounds like a special service, though Flowers.

I really like the "Wave of light," I do it every year and it's nice to have an occasion to remember together with other families that have been through the same.

yellowfrontdoor · 02/10/2017 11:35

How do you stop yourself obsessively symptom spotting during your tww?

Asking for a friend. Grin

Fillybee · 02/10/2017 11:38

Gosh 14 weeks @Weasledee I can't even imagine. That does sound a nice service xx

yellowfrontdoor · 02/10/2017 11:39

Missed your post @weasledee and posted a very flippant message.

I'm so sorry for your loss, the service sounds beautiful & very special.

Fillybee · 02/10/2017 11:41

I've been googling 'can you ovulate 2 weeks after mc' and seems lots of stories of people who did and had successful pregnancies so I am hopefully joining the TWW (or 10 days as the case may be) as I did manage to jump DH yesterday much to his amazement. Did not mention that I might be ovulating though as that sometimes causes, er, issues. I think he'll click though if I do the same tonight!!

coastalchick · 02/10/2017 14:58

I def think you can ov 2 weeks after MC - I had a static smiley (on 3 different CB testers!!!) just after 2 was after MC but we didn't catch it as OH didn't finish!!! (Think he felt under pressure and I was finding it painful). Then I had some weird negatives then flashing smileys (which were prob wrong) now AF. So def think you can ov quickly

BlueeSpottyTiger · 02/10/2017 20:24

Weasle I'm happy that your glad you went 💖
Was you on the HG thread? Sorry i may have you confused with someone else, I just feel like i remember you from there xx

I feel like im going to start Af. Sad very Crampy!
If it was a normal cycle it would only be 26days and i would be due af tomorrow.
But since it's my immediate cycle after mc i didn't ovulate until cd21 when usually ov on cd 13/14. My lp is usually always 12days (although that might be f**ked up too) i calculated af to be due the 11th based on ovulation. I have no idea what is going on!

Flatwhite31 · 02/10/2017 20:29

Something made me do a Clearblue digital ovulation stick this evening. I had a flashing smiley this morning, and tonight it was static. I practically jumped on DH! I didn't tell him about the smiley, as I don't want him to feel under pressure. We'll try and DTD tomorrow evening as well. Weirdly, my line opk I did afterwards wasn't positive, so who knows! Period due in 15 days, so this would be a textbook fertile time anyway.

@weasledee so glad you went. I hope our local hospital will do something similar.

weasledee · 02/10/2017 20:59

Hi blues yes I was in the HG group. I got a bfp last week and I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow so with my previous pregnancies HG starts on day 1 of week 6! So, (all being well) I’ll be really sick and have no life a week tomorrow! Confused strange to actually want that?! Smile
We have an appointment this week to find out what was wrong with our last baby..... weirdly nervous.....

weasledee · 02/10/2017 20:59

Everything crossed for you Flatwhite!!!!!

Flatwhite31 · 02/10/2017 21:15

Thank you @weasledee. I'm not getting my hopes up, as the kind OPK should surely be positive too?! On a nice note, I'm enjoying DTD again and it's nice to be close and intimate with DH again.

Flatwhite31 · 02/10/2017 21:15

Kind OPK should say line!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 02/10/2017 21:43

weasle I knew i recognised you! 🤗 come on sickness! Hehe. My HG started around 6 weeks with dd and 5.5 weeks with the last pregnancy and despite baby passing i was still being sick numerous times aday until the day before the mc actually started 3 weeks later!
It's hard work HG isn't it 😣 I hope to see you on that thread (in a nice way) if I'm lucky enough to conceive again as no doubt I'll have it again. I would feel nervous too, but it may help?
Flatwhite ohh nice one, Lots of luck!

Xx

Fillybee · 02/10/2017 22:01
