Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

presh please always PIAP rather than on a stick - that way you are assured of a non-flooding situation

canters !!! Is that you? With a 10 month old baby???? Hope you picked a Malory Towersesque name?

So IVI update:

  • seems I still need some blood tests done as previous CRGH ones are out of date
  • have appt with donor coordinator (spain IVI) next Tuesday
  • just want to get show in the road!!

Update on flat:

  • builder says wood floor is warped so takes longer to install
-builder apologises profusely that he did not give me right ordering amount & needs more, which I have not been able to order yet and knowing my luck it will be discontinued stock and I will end up with a stripey floor
  • bathroom wall now has holes in it
I want my flat back!!!! 😩

😂😂😂 Nova

LG93 · 20/09/2017 12:50

Does anyone have any recommendations for apps to track cycles? I've been using one called Flo and it seemed ok, but I've been tracking my bbt as suggested by a couple of
You to see if I'm actually ovulating, and it's now just told me I've ovulated on day 25, but not sure if it's just rising now that I'm due for AF on Friday. It's now moved my cycle dates another 2 weeks and wondering if there were any more straightforward?!

Presh12345 · 20/09/2017 14:43

So bought more tests there now. Put the "flooded" from this morning back in the drawer to dispose of when I came home from work. I looked at it again and not only is there a control line but there is also a v v faint line. What does this mean and is it as a result of not working this morning? Only DTD last Wednesday so if I ov'd when it said I did according to the app, I'd only be 7dpo now.

kwick · 20/09/2017 17:51

presh!!!! Firstly: BREATHE!!
Hope you stocked on FRERs
Do another test tomorrow with FMU and piss into a pot and then dip.
Then report back!!!

Presh12345 · 20/09/2017 17:53

Can you even see a v v faint line kwick? Will leave it a few days, if I can! 🙈

kwick · 20/09/2017 18:01

Yes I can Presh but given the flooding situation I think it makes sense to test again & on a FRER Grin

choochooo · 20/09/2017 22:14

I see a line! But as it's been left I would poas in morning to make sure it's not evap line. Gx!!!!

squidge seriously I had some proper dark times but I was kept sane by these freds and there was a light at the end of the tunnel. I am sure there will be for you too.

Choo congratulations - that's is amazing news. Gingers crossed for everything to go smoothly. And more gingers for Presh

Lovely Kwick you are an amazing strong woman and your PMA helped me a lot. I hope your next round does the trick. And there's no way you're old enough to be my mother either!

Waves to Canters and Feathered and Alice

I'm happy to send a pic if people want to see it but I'm all too aware that can be hard for some people.

I hope the good news continues on this fred :)

Presh12345 · 21/09/2017 04:49

Morning all, thank you so much for all the advice yesterday!
I'm not going to POAS today as we are going away for the weekend for my birthday. If it comes up negative, Im afraid I might be pissed off. Also, at potentially only 8dpo now, it may not come up. I don't live in the uk at the moment and it's difficult to find a decent frer so that's another concern. Perhaps the test was a shit one? Although last month it came up a very definite NO!
Will try Sunday morning when I'm up for work again. (Working week Sunday-Thursday) 😩😩

kwick · 21/09/2017 07:43

presh happy to be your FRER mule - if you want me to buy a load and post them to you?
Happy Birthday anc have a great weekend away!

LG93 · 21/09/2017 19:31

ANOTHER pregnancy announcement today. May just go and put myself in a food coma Sad

kwick · 21/09/2017 20:39

Sounds like a plan lg may join you - stress of home improvements really affecting my ability to feel grounded and settled... really hope it will be over soon and I can spend time cosy in my flat.

Squidge123456 · 21/09/2017 20:48

Thanks cats

Totally feel for you LG. Food and/or alcohol is generally the answer.

Happy birthday Presh!

Kwick home improvements drive me crazy too. We are generally always in the middle of something as I can't resist a doer upper and as DH insists on doing all the work himself, it takes ages. It used to regularly reduce me to tears but I think I'm hardening to it now! Gx yours is finished soon.

LG93 · 21/09/2017 21:42

Feel for you qwick re home improvements! I tried to cook myself hunters chicken but now not sure chicken was 100% done despite me checking it and feel a bit sick. Expect it's probably in my head, or could be pms. AF due anywhere between tomorrow and early October, depending on how cycle tracker app is feeling! Hmm

Purpleball · 21/09/2017 21:49

Checking in as I haven't been around for a while

Name: Purple
Age: 43
DC: DS age 2
Pets: none
TTC since May 2017

Think my reproductive system is broken. Gp won't take me seriously. I'm on meds for anxiety that he won't up in case I get pregnant. Each month is the same. Day 16-26 is all the symptoms I had with DS, then they fuck off and the witch arrives.
Taken a month off this month. Too much else going on and I need a break from feeling sick and tired for 10 days!

Purpleball · 21/09/2017 21:50

Also been doing home improvements for 3 months but should be finished in the next week!

kwick · 22/09/2017 07:33

Oh dead lg under-cooked chicken 🤢
Actually think I may have gone off chicken for a while after having it EVERY day this week and the last but was teamed with some peas that had gone "fizzy"....

Home improvements for 3 months??? And you are living there?
There is so much dust at my place I wish I had packed up and put everything into storage Angry

Squidge123456 · 22/09/2017 09:51

So I'm just back from seeing the GP and what a waste of time that was. I got a bit mad in the end as she kept repeating that after 35 fertility drops off a cliff - I f**king know that!! She also mentioned a number of times that we wouldn't get help with fertility treatment on the NHS as we already have a child, again I know that and that wasn't what I was asking for. I am booked in for a blood test next week (day 21 test) but I had to press her for that. I'm still pissed off, aren't doctors supposed to be supportive and understanding in these kind of situations?! I know I'm old, she didn't need to keep on! Sorry for the rant....

Still this week, should've been THE week so we've been JSing like rabbits, so Gx for a bfp!

kwick · 22/09/2017 18:16

FFS squige!!! Why are GPs so shit???

choochooo · 22/09/2017 19:43

Hello!

Cats YES to photo please!!! I need a squidgy newborn face to make my day! How are you?

Sorry for quiet - busy few days.

I'm worried :(. I got really excited today because I had what I thought was morning sickness. I took it as a lovely positive sign for this little bean. Felt like death but so delighted.

As the days gone on I've started shivering and my temp is up. Everything hurts. So it's more likely it's flu. Sad I had flu twice in first few months of my mmc pregnancy. It's now made me think that this one is doomed too.

Will write more in a sec
