Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

@angelazul we were waiting for the puppy until I had a baby... but when my nephew broached the topic with me a few months ago I told him to not wait for me anymore. I am so glad the wait is over.

Welcome @SpongeCake23 !!!

LG93 · 06/12/2017 12:47

Welcome @SpongeCake23 !!

Hope you’re all well viroids. I had a nice chat with my GP yesterday. I had a little cry and a vent and a rant that it’s all just not fair, and I feel much better for it. She put a few concerns of mine to rest, told me to avoid any form of cycle tracking whatsoever and just go home and have sex every other day until something happens. I wanted to ask her about taking myo-inositol as had seen it mentioned a lot with pcos sufferers, and she’d been a fertility seminar the week before and they’d been saying it’s had really promising results, so I’ve ordered some to try. Can’t hurt!

Currently af is 2 days late but BFN, so yet another cycle where my body can’t make up its mind on what to do...

Puppy looks gorgeous @kwick 😍

Canters15 · 11/12/2017 04:30

Goodness me is quiet on here! So sorry about the bfn kwick, really hoping you get your break in the new year. Puppy is gorgeous!
Looks like I am about to start ttc again. My original JS baby is now almost 13 months!!

Presh12345 · 11/12/2017 05:38

Hi guys.....again. sorry to hear of all the bfn. It's shit.
I'm out too this month so looks like I will be over 40 now if I ever give birth! Am now going to stop tracking and monitoring and give myself a break for a month or two. I want the fun to come back into our relationship. And if nothing has happened by February half term (I'm a teacher) I will go and get checked out and see what's going on.

AliceScarlett · 11/12/2017 22:54

Cycle 26. sigh

kwick · 12/12/2017 06:26

@LG93 your GP sounds great! I take Inofolic - is that what you have ordered?

@Canters15 !!!!! Oh how nice to hear from you!!! 13 months!!!! Where does the time go???

FFS for all the AFs Thanks

LG93 · 12/12/2017 13:01

Thanks @kwick - yes she is brilliant. I’ve actually ordered just plain myo-inositol online and taking that and then folic acid separately - worked out about 10p a day instead of £1 a day for inofolic so thought I’d give it a go ☺️

MrsDub · 12/12/2017 23:51

Hello all! (waves)

Newbie emerging onto MN from the lurky shadows (to properly curse any chance this month) & like your JS'ing style, hope you'll have me Smile

33 (last week)
TTC #1
Cycle 1 (post-BC)
No idea about anything TTC science related (/anything?!)

Had assumed CM in pants was enough to keep a general eye on things (although no significant change since coming off Yasmin three weeks ago tbh) - is this wrong?? Post withdrawal bleed but pre good old fashioned AF so not expecting much. (Hope this q is permissible under rules Confused)

Good luck to all this month, sorry some are having a rough time.

kwick · 13/12/2017 07:57

WTF @LG93 ???? I did not know you could do that!!! Please divulge source!!! I take additional folic acid anyhoo due to my raised BMI so it would be good to not have to fork out anymore for the horrifically expensive Inofolic which I am not sure does anything

Welcome @MrsDub !!!

LG93 · 13/12/2017 12:11

@kwick link is here: www.tradeingredients.com/Inositol-Powder

I was all for buying it as inofolic but on another thread on here for pcos support someone pointed out you could do it separately. I’ve sacrificed one of my baking measuring spoons to the fertility gods and I worked out a level scoop of it was 2g of inositol so it lives in the bag now because I’m too lazy to weigh it out twice a day

kwick · 14/12/2017 07:40

Thank you so much LG! But shit a brick I stupidly did not realise it is a B vitamin... my mum always harks on about having to take a complex so you do not get out of whack...

LG93 · 14/12/2017 11:07

@kwick no I didn’t realise it was a b vitamin either until I found that site... I had to check it was the right thing as thought it must be wrong! Xmas Blush

angelazul · 16/12/2017 12:21

Welcome @spongecake & @mrsdubs, & welcome back @canters Smile

We had our review appt at fc clinic a few days ago. Didn't get much out of them, a lot of "maybe this ... maybe that ...", but had my amh re-tested. Have to wait 3 months for another appt to get results before we can start another treatment cycle Shock, so it's back to good ole jsing in the meantime.

Presh12345 · 16/12/2017 12:41

Back on the shagfest wagon again. Green week. Trying every other day now for the month. See how that goes. Stopped taking the pregnacare and started again on magnesium plus b6 (which I was on when first pregnancy occurred-but ended in mmc). AF due new years day!

MrsDub · 18/12/2017 21:22

Thanks kwick & angela - happy JS'ing! None for me, cut down in my prime with vile plague, DH keeping safe distance Xmas Sad stay well all.

justtheonethen · 25/12/2017 07:12

Happy Christmas shaggers! Hope you all have a lovely day Xmas Smile

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 25/12/2017 07:41

Hello, may I join?
name: Miss A or Peonies (I seem to get both!)
Age: 32
TTC: since June 2017, MMC August 2017. Have PCOS and wondering if I need some help, not sure I’m ovulating most months.

Canters15 · 26/12/2017 01:53

Merry Christmas viroids.
Think we missed icing this month- combination of being away, DS in room, DH being annoying and tiredness.
Must do better next month!

Canters15 · 26/12/2017 01:54

Welcome peonies!

kwick · 26/12/2017 19:07

Well I had an interesting Christmas spent a good part of Christmas eve in A&E with dp as his tackle swelled up and not in a good way Wink got home to find an unexpected guest had rolled into town early in the form of af so deffo no jsing for me for a while plus no miracle Christmas bambino ah well Hmm

kwick · 28/12/2017 09:58

Ay yay yay @coribeth hope DP ok? Do they know cause?

LG93 · 04/01/2018 11:47

Hope you all enjoyed the fesitivities js'ers! Christmas has kept my mind of obsession over ttc which has been a welcome break and I'm working on my mental health as a New Years resolution to not worry about things I can't change and this is one of those things! Been sticking with DTD every other day. I've not been temping or doing opk's so no idea if I've ovulated but had back ache for the last few days which has now gone of it's own accord and a few twinges yesterday so hopefully somethings working in there Grin

coribeth · 06/01/2018 00:14

Sorry for late reply kwick not been on for a while yes it was a cyst that became infected and started to track did think he would be admitted but I think the fact it was Christmas eve I work there so knew the doc and all the relevant stuff I should be looking out for we got away with a any probs come straight back chat and a pack of antibiotics so all good!! Grin and made it to the in-laws for night family Christmas after all so back on the Ttc wagon gonna kick off the new year with some serious weight loss as never did get to target last time who knows maybe it will help can't hurt right!!

kwick · 11/01/2018 08:06

@coribeth glad to hear all is well
😘

@LG93 sounds like you have a plan!!!

I am off to Alicante on Sunday, second FET on Monday, fly back Tuesday. 🤞🏼

I got really wistful yesterday about how quiet this thread has got... and then I thought well that means that so many viroids have POAS and got a BFP... viroids doing a kitten... all these good things.
