Some of you may recognize my username from the pregnancy and miscarriage boards. DH and I have been TTC since September 2016 and I had a MMC in January followed by an early MC in May. We took a break but got back on the wagon last month and this is our second month of TTC again.

I think I ovulated yesterday and we have DTD three times in the last four days, so I'm hopeful this might be the month for us! AF is due on 3rd September and I know it's going to be a long wait. Anyone want to join for some 2ww support? Smile

Hi all Smile I ovulated today so due to test on 5th Sept which is also my 34th birthday 🎂 so hopefully I'll get a bfp.

This is our first month trying so can't get my hopes up too much.

Hoping this thread can keep me sane for the next 2 weeks Grin

Hi everyone! Can I join you all please?
I've got two apps saying AF is due 30th August and one app saying 2nd September, which I had worked it out at. Although my cycles tend to do as they please. I'm usually later than estimated and never early though.

I ovulated last week between Monday - Friday. I don't use tests for ovulation...just go on my apps and CM which all seem to be right!

I've been having period like dull cramps for the last few days, (which I don't get this early before AF) been feeling off, weird sore tingly full feeling boobs and a sniffly nose! My CM is also really thick and creamy white (sorry TMI!)

I'm usually wanting to test straight away but I feel unusually calm about it this month!

Wishing everyone luck! 😘 xx

Hello! Can I join?
I'm very disorganised with all this ttc stuff... to be honest it's slightly intentional as tracking cycles etc makes me so stressed, so now I'm just leaving it up to fate... I'm due af on 5th. I'm trying not to think about it too much, but it's clearly not working! I'm incredibly impatient and just want to know asap!
X

Hi can I join please?

I'm on cycle 1, day 17. I haven't really got a clue what I'm doing! I am using opks and app tracking. However according to opks I haven't actually ovulated just yet, I'm wondering if somehow I have missed it.

Good luck everyone

emilyjayne1990 · 23/08/2017 07:42

Hi everyone 😊
Woke up feeling very sick today 🤢 still got the period type pains and a bit of back ache. Just feel blah today! But I've got a very active nearly 2yo so must carry on!!
Has anyone else had/got any symptoms?

Freezingwinter · 23/08/2017 07:49

Hi all!
I'm ttc baby number 2. First cycle!
My BFP is due 6th September, but we are at a wedding a few days before so I am thinking I might do an early test! Which are the most sensitive tests these days?

emilyjayne1990 · 23/08/2017 07:53

@Freezingwinter I've seen some tests on eBay which are supplied to the NHS, so I'm thinking about ordering some of those. I'm guessing they must be good if the NHS use them.
They also sell clear blues too, which are quite cheap compared to in the shops so I'm going to research the company to check them out first.

Freezingwinter · 23/08/2017 07:54

Thanks! I have one test here and it's 25 sensitivity.. Not sure if you can get 10s?

Fia256 · 23/08/2017 07:56

@Freezingwinter first response definitely.
Just to give an idea of how sensitive they are, 3 weeks after my miscarriage I still was getting a pretty clear positive (not strong but an obvious line) went to the hospital had my hcg levels checked and they were at 9. It continued to show positive until a week after that so with even less hcg in my system! They are what I will be using now

Freezingwinter · 23/08/2017 07:58

I thought so! FRERs are quite expensive aren't they? Sorry to hear about your mc x

Fia256 · 23/08/2017 08:02

They are! Amazon do tend to do them much cheaper than the shops do though! The only thing with them I found last month is they have terrible indent/evap lines that will show up every single time if you don't throw away after the recommended time (I was one of those to keep checking if a line had magically appeared last month and got myself excited for nothing)

Bubble04 · 23/08/2017 09:07

I found supermarket own brand ones were more sensitive. With my 1st I tested very early and got a strong positive... didn't get anything on clear blue though...

Bubble04 · 23/08/2017 09:15

Did an Amazon bulk buy of cheap ones today... I know I'm not going to be able to resist the temptation to test far too early and don't want to waste too much money... x

Stee1 · 23/08/2017 11:21

Can I join? First month ttc after my ectopic, don't think we dtd enough round fertile week so not holding out much hope. AF due 2nd Sept ish x

EsmeGNU · 23/08/2017 11:22

So turns out ovulation was just dragging itself out this time. I suspect now that AF is actually due September 4th, when my OH goes away for a week. I'm going to try super hard not to test. I would rather wait until he is home I want him to enjoy his trip.
Also no holding on to too much hope. Although we DTD quite a lot during FW, my usual symptoms have been a bit all over the place.

PointeShoesAndTutus · 23/08/2017 14:16

I'm currently 4dpo and my boobs have gone mental!

I have the BIGGEST veins - the ones circling my areola are huge and dark, and then I have a path of smaller blue/green ones leading to my nipples (sorry for the lovely description of my boobs there!) - I noticed it late last night (so 3dpo).

I do sometimes get more prominent veins before AF but this is ridiculous.

Surely it's way too early as implantation won't have happened yet so no hormones can be surging?!

AlexsMum89 · 23/08/2017 14:22

@Pointeshoes who knows? I'm convinced I've got symptoms and I'm also 4dpo. I think this whole thing just makes you a bit crazy.
My boobs are huge and sore and I feel so sick. I'm probably just being a loonie. I'm gutted about how early into the tww I am and I've lost my cool already!

Poptart4 · 23/08/2017 14:28

@freezingwinter I used Tesco pregnancy 3 days before AF was due with my last child and it was positive. There very cheap too.

PollyCazaletWannabe · 23/08/2017 14:28

I'm exactly the same! I'm convinced my boobs are sore and swollen but I'm about 4 dpo so it must be my imagination :/ had to force myself not to buy any pg tests today - I'm going to try to hold out until at least Monday next week but I fear I will crack!

@pointieshoesandtutus I read somewhere that implantation takes place 3 days after ovulation. I don't know if that's true but could be why your having symptoms.

DragonsandDungeons · 23/08/2017 14:34

I'll join. Having similar symptoms as I did both previous pregnancies. I'm only 5dpo (if I ovulated early like I think) but this has happened both times before. I get symptoms much earlier than I'm "supposed" to. DP is sure I'm pregnant but I'm unconvinced

Freezingwinter · 23/08/2017 14:49

I normally ovulate on cd 14 or 15. We dtd on 8, 9, 12 and 13. If I ovulated on cd 15, I could still have a chance, right? Blush

Thank you for all the test reccomendations

Good luck to you all x

DragonsandDungeons · 23/08/2017 15:05

Yes Freezing you do. The 5 days before O are fertile :)
