been trying ever since. and no. every month the same. this month as well as AF ive another surprise - a cyst. where no one ever ever wants one.
so this month will be lost. along with all dignity as i beg the hospital to lance it.

SIL gave birth this morning, which is really lovely of course, but it was hard enough when I found out she was pg. Had really hoped I'd get a BFP before baby arrived.

I'm wondering how much longer to give it before going to GP. Been off contraception 18 months now but had a break from actually trying in the middle due to illness and then meds messing my cycles up. Will be 35 next year so don't want to leave it too long, but reluctant to go through invasive tests if they are not needed.

So you may want me to F OFF, but I got my bfp this month after quite a long time of trying and being so desparate and upset every month. Thought being 38 and overweight would mean it would never happen, and I used opks as well. The only difference this time was this:

I came across it randomly in Boots. Not sure if you guys have seen / tried it. Am definitely putting this down to our success, nothing else has been different.

ive been using conceive plus gel - no luck here.

im now confused so ill whinge. i use clearblue digital opks and this month i was working nights when i should have started testing - so i started cd13. a bit late really but cycle is nornally 30 days ish. got the usual O yesterday but got the O sign again today - cd14. i got the static smiley cd 13 last month and the month before cd15. so now im wishing id just skipped the opk this month entirely because i now dont know if ive just missed the surge or if im not ovulating. feel rather deflated - normally i get a little buzz when i get the static (gives me hope im still ovulating as im 45 so late doing this again on all fronts!)

i have sort of accepted that its probably not going to happen now due to my age, just go through the motions really and had begun to think its time to put the opk away anyway. it was just a little reassurance that maybe - just maybe - i was still in with a chance. id have let hope die but for getting pg last year when i also thought that would be impossible.

If you're still having periods regularly I would surmise you're still ovulating...

I think you probably started too late and it's missed the surged, or working nights has put you out of whack....I have heard working shifts can have an affect on fertility.

I used conceive plus also this month! Preseed last month...

I thought my AF had started randomly on day 11 of a 35 day cycle, but it's now stopped! God know what's going on - itching to test after your comment yesterday @juneybean - naughty!!

@still I always get a negative in first test for clear blue digital even if I've got a positive on internet ones. Must be something to do with it being the first test that month??

I've been using concieve plus for 10 cycles and still nothing. Doubt the boots one will give me much hope...

Tested this morning at 6am @juneybean - it was a BFN! My cycle is completely messed up this time, god knows what's going on.

Oh well - had a positive surge & BD alot so fingers crossed for the start of Oct! 🤞

Hello all, mind if I join? About to start "properly" trying next cycle (as in DTD every day for Glows entire predicted ovulation window), but have been using no protection almost all year with no luck. I'm super broody and I am having the worst PMS I've ever had today (AF due Tuesday), just feeling very negative and like I'm barren lol.

DH is keen to have kids but isn't excited or anything and doesn't wanna talk about it too much till I'm pregnant as he doesn't wanna be disappointed, I on the other hand as so broody and I don't wanna tell my friends or family I'm TTC as I just feel like it's never gonna happen. We've had loads of unprotected sex, surely it would have happened by now?? 😫

so....turns out i hadnt missed the static (so ovulation) but i have to say ive lost hope now of it happening. i arent checking the app daily anymore and cant remember what cd i am! hurray!!! i feel like this is a GOOD thing! the start of acceptance maybe and less desperation. i got the static smiley on the CB opk and ive had sex. lots of sex. ive done all i can. its not that technical really is it. its either gonna happen or its not and ill be menopausal before i know it. joy.

Hello. Had a miscarriage and ever since have messed up cycles. Got a test that I can't tell if it's evap or positive, have had bleeding so it's likely a chemical if it IS positive, and my cycles are so short I'll likely just lose it anyway.

I knew I would get a BFN, but thank you. First cycle using OPKS but got a very very strong positive on Day 11/35 & had very different AF last time so thought a test could be worth it!

I am hoping the positive OPK was just weird & I will get a second chance in a week or so as well! 🤞

Welcome dragons sorry to hear about your miscarriage :( have you tried evening primrose oil to regulate your cycle... Hopefully make the luteal phase longer??

June I'm trying Vitex and b6. The test was an evap, and luckily my period this time has gone on for 5 days (still spotting now!) and seemed a bit more peridoy than last month. Still strangely painless but hopefully means it's getting better.

I'm terrified of ashermans (I had a D&C for incomplete), early menopause (I've always feared this, for irrational reasons) or just any reason that would stop me having another baby. I have moderate anxiety that the miscarriage has exaggerated

dragons thats tough - i wouldnt and dont test anymore unless AF is late. it stops that disappointment - i got an evap a few months ago and the bastard superdrug early said positive when it wasnt. i cant take that disappointment anymore so i dont test and wait for AF.

for messued ups cycles - try macca?? google it. cheap on amazon.

Got myself booked in for acupuncture and got an appointment with my dr in first week of October. Feel a bit more like we're doing something about whatever. DH is getting his sperm tested this month, fingers crossed!

Ah great stuff! Last it'll settle your mind if you find out his sperm is fine!

Let us know how the accupuncture sessions go. I've got my second one next Monday. Sacked off the opks and tracki g etc this month so have no idea where I am but finding that oddly calming!

In other news it's seems that fertility isn't hereditary in my family. I knew my mum concieve very quickly with me and my sister. My sister has just told me she is pregnant. Honestly I am absolutely thrilled. We are very close. A part of me was worried I might be jealous but I haven't been at all. She is older than me and secretly I am glad she is experience first as all my life I have been able to look to her to guidence. She had a MC back in January so I'm keeping everything crossed for her and hoping that this one is a goer! When we were talking it seems she's inherited mum's genes as she fell pregnant first time of trying both times (MC and now). Think my mum may have passed it all into her as that hasn't quite happend for me! Haha

@Mrsjones17 that's exactly what I did this month and it's so nice feeling much calmer about things.

Aww that's great news for your sister and I'm glad you're feeling alright about it. I worry I'd be devastated if my brother announced him and his girlfriend were expecting!

I was really worried as I didn't want to be anything but happy. I think because we are so close it made it easier and also that she is older than me to not quite 'batting out of turn' haha!!
