So at scan today I was told again it’s ‘tiny’ and within the endometrium bit that most women over 30 get them and that it won’t pose problems for me.

Follicle has ‘grown’ but she wouldn’t tell me how big. Negative opk, so I’m thinking I’m still an age away... but it is only cd 14!! I normally ov more like cd 18 or well beyond.

Tee4me · 19/10/2017 09:10

For God’s sake why wouldn’t she tell you how big?? It’s ridiculous!!
I’m patiently (not) waiting AFs arrival today or tomorrow. Got a BFN at the weekend so stopped the steroids. Will go back on Letrozole CD2-6 then hoping to have a follicle scan around CD9-11 but my specialist is currently booked up so I’m worried I won’t be able to follow the full ‘Super Ovulation’ plan this month (scan plus hcg injection element).
Jam did AF arrive? Do you have your drugs ready to kick things off next month?! x

Jamon · 19/10/2017 16:35

Sorry tee bfns never stop hurting do they? Super ovulation plan sounds fab though

AF came yesterday so a bit early. Got my new mooncup - they are a bit of a struggle to get in?! I called the nurses, they call back within a week to go through timeline and order drugs etc. Think I speak to the drug company after that to arrange delivery.

To be honest I'm going to try and think about other stuff for the next few weeks. We can't try this month so I'm going to try and enjoy a break from ttc and not think about it all too much. Relax and look after myself! Then get myself ready for down regulating on day 21. Just ready to get this show on the road really!

physicskate · 20/10/2017 08:56

Definitely trying to distract yourself is a good idea. You need to be in the best head space possible for this part of you ‘journey’.

Last US today and follicle is gone. So looks like ov was yesterday. Dtd last night and two night before. Blood test next week to confirm. So clomid will definitely shorten my cycle. Seems sonographer was convinced I have pcos by appearance and how clomid shortened my cycle. Time will tell. Not holding my breath...

DuRezidal · 21/10/2017 18:09

I don’t know anything about human ivf but very clued up on equestrian :-)

Did they tell you how big the follicles were both sides before you ovulated?

physicskate · 21/10/2017 18:27

Hi Durez - are you asking abut my ultrasound? They wouldn't tell me how big it was Wednesday, just that 'it's grown' from 13mm on Monday.... ov suspected Thursday/ during the early morning Friday. Wednesday's sonographer said she wouldn't tell me because I would start googling. She was right, except I already had been googling...

DuRezidal · 21/10/2017 18:30

With mares just before they ovulate the follicle goes soft and slightly mishapen so look out for that too!

And mares tend to go off a similar size follicle each time...

Footy1 · 23/10/2017 15:00

Hi all,
My ultrasound scan results showed no abnormalities and ovaries looked fine. Lots of small follies on left ovary (which I was quite surprised as I only usually feel it from right side?? So back to the gp I go! No period day 60 grrr. They will probably do another blood test for hormone levels?

Footy1 · 24/10/2017 08:35

Wasjust thinking I bet the mares don't have all this fertility worry like we do!
Hope you are doing ok Durez.xx

I just need something to push out the eggs!! So frustrating I just keep crying for a period. Sad isn't it.

Kate, glad you are getting tracked with US's at least you gave a clearer pic of what is what.

Jam, I struggle with mooncup at first and keep spilling it when I comes out. Hope you still are playing your music 🎶 for distraction with your plans. X

Tee super ovulation plan sounds good. Are u still on acupuncture?

Tee4me · 24/10/2017 09:01

Footy when you say small, what size were they? When I went for my scan before ovulation he said I only had 1 dominant follicle at 22mm. The 1 on the other side was only 10mm and he said that wouldn’t produce anything. So are you CD60 but haven’t ovulated yet? Bless you, such a long wait?! Surely you need something to help the eggs mature then do a trigger shot? Are you not on Clomid anymore? I don’t understand why you’re not getting more help from your Specialist/GP 😞 Why don’t you push to try Letrozole? When I’ve been researching it I came across lots of success stories from women switching over to it.
I’m currently CD5. Have a follicle scan next Monday and hope to see multiple mature follicles this time having doubled my dose of Letrozole 🤞🏻
Yes still doing acupuncture too. All this has cost us a small fortune, really hoping for a positive result soon. I think next steps will be IUI early next year, then onto IVF if nothing for a further 6 months x

Hi tee, they didn't really say what size - she said they couldn't really say much and to speak to gp. The nurse just said there were lots of tiny follicles on my left. I just don't understand why they are not getting bigger to make me ovulate.?
Gp before wouldn't prescribe anything only when she sent me to gynae to check all was ok he put me on clomid. I only had a few good cycles on clomid. Been off of it for about 6 months now. I'll ask my gp again for something else to make me ovulate?
Yes day 60 with no ovulation. It sucks!

Sounds all very expensive for you. My Dh wouldn't even contemplate paying for tests. 🙄

Jamon · 26/10/2017 08:41

Here cheering you on lovelies. No news from me, still waiting to arrange drug delivery. I feel like all I ever post is that I’m waiting for stuff! New levels of patience...

Hugs xx Brew

peachesarenom · 26/10/2017 17:04

Hi all, I have nothing interesting to report. Still struggling to get the inofolic down and developing a varicose vein.

Sounds like you're all making progress!

peachesarenom · 26/10/2017 17:05

Footy1 do you have pcos? Have you tried inofolic?

Footy1 · 26/10/2017 21:30

Peaches, last yr they said I was borderline pcos and so prescribed metformin. I was so ill with it. Felt like I had a nauseating hangover every day. Only tried it for 3 months but couldn't handle it. I lost a stone! But didn't really need to lose weight. It did nothing for me.
Just recently had scan and bloods and now I'm in ok levels. Does it stimulate your ovaries?

Tee4me · 27/10/2017 10:05

Morning all,
Just dropping in with some food for thought. My acupuncturist has picked up that there is stagnation in my uterus in the LP. This was prompted by my comments re. cramping in the 2ww, and clotty periods. Also some physical factors she has picked up in treatment; cold hands and feet and the way my pulses are running. Anyway, I definitely think there could be something in this (along with my immune factors). Posting a link to an interesting article and also a screenshot that lead me to google ‘cold uterus’

heidibrockmyre.com/blog/2015/11/12/is-your-uterus-too-cold-to-conceive

Thought you ladies might be interested, I know we’ve discussed wearing socks in 2ww before and wonder if this article resonates with any of you too? I’m now staring my day with a ginger tea ☕️ and am continuing the castor oil packs which I think are really helping xx

Footy1 I've heard that some people react better to inofolic, it is supposed to help you ovulate and relieve symptoms of pcos.

physicskate · 27/10/2017 12:34

That's quite interesting Tee. Coldness and hypothyroid go hand in hand. I was doing the caster oil pack until ov, but thought I was meant to stop after?? I am now about 8 dpo.

peachesarenom · 27/10/2017 15:00

I am so squeamish! I have to have a smear test so that I can get a fertility referral and I've always avoided them, never had one! Waiting now, so scared! I don't want to do it!

peachesarenom · 27/10/2017 15:35

I survived! Defo uncomfy though.

physicskate · 31/10/2017 17:17

So I’m 12 dpo and all negative tests...

Bloods came back that I’ve ovulated. Cycle 2 of clomid here I come...

NelleB · 31/10/2017 17:44

30
Cycle #3
First baby...
Finally bought some ovulation tests, feel like the tracking apps aren’t helping me... AF due next week. I have everything crossed she doesn’t come. Good luck to everyone xx

physicskate · 03/11/2017 23:50

So af arrived. Square one. Clomid cycle two. Not sure what cycle number overall...

Welcome Nelle. It’s quiet in these parts as the ones of us that are left are but biding our time for treatment and/or cycles to pass us by...

Tee4me · 05/11/2017 21:37

Sorry Kate. Do they track your Clomid progress with a scan pre-ovulation, to check you are responding appropriately? I reckon the first cycle was just your warm up for the real thing in round 2! 🙏🏻🤞🏻
I’m 4dpo after my 2nd round of Super Ovulation. I had x2 matured follicles this time, triggered on Monday night. Specialist assured me by doing the trigger shot both eggs should almost definitely release. I’d like to think that’s double the chance, but don’t think it works like that, especially if something else is going on to prevent pregnancy. I always thought ovulation wasn’t the problem.
Hi Nelle, any sign of AF yet?
Peaches glad you survived the smear! Never nice 🙈 xx

OP posts:
physicskate · 05/11/2017 22:56

No tracking this cycle, just last one. I found it kinda stressful with having to get cover at work and had to tell the deputy head as well, which I hadn’t wanted to. I was really upset after the first two scans weren’t brilliant too...

And there’s another hot flush...
