Come one, come all, new and old, no-one wants to be here, but at least we're glad we've got each other :) Flowers

Hope your stay here is short.

Now, some BFPs if you please and BFNs for those who are waiting for them too!

Annie that's exactly how I feel; I don't want to be told to relax or have helpful suggestions or "at least"s - just acknowledge the shitness. And try to understand that it's not always as simple as trying again - the whole thing has taken a massive toll on my mental and physical health.

I am really interested that you take aspirin from ov not bfp. If this one doesn't stick then maybe I'll try that next time. Thanks for the reminder about taking it with food.

By the way if anyone is going to try it, I think 75 is the standard dose. They recommended 150 to me because of the tests (& maybe weight?) but that is not what I've heard most people take.

I did not buy any more tests today so will see how it goes. My breasts are still sore which is good this may be from all the prodding but I don't have that sicky hormone-buzz I had yesterday.

MsJuniper · 25/07/2017 23:06

Ray I always use a tampon + pad for the first AF after mc as I've been caught out a couple of times. It is over quicker though (for me anyway). You are supposed to be more fertile in the months after mc but it's most important to do what's right for you and take care of yourself.

yellow it is a lovely name, I would consider it too (but I'm not sure DH would agree!)

BertieBotts · 26/07/2017 09:49

Hi all, I'm still in boring AF territory. DH saw the urologist yesterday and has been provided with a sample pot which he's supposed to produce and take back next week. Good to know something is happening but I don't think they'll be able to tell us much.

With temping I think oral is sufficient for most people, you can do it vaginally if you like, but most of the time it doesn't add that much accuracy. It's just about getting closer to your core. Like how rectal temperatures are more accurate than oral ones.

I'm fed up with the time it's taking too and I just want to be pregnant again.

Started looking into getting a pet again. I've found a cute dog from a rescue centre and they seem interested but not sure it's sensible. Argh.

Cd12 and a low on my clear blue ov stick. I've always found these to work before so thought I'd splash out on them this cycle as I was having no luck with the ic's - they've not shown a positive for the last 3 cycles. Now getting worried something is really messed up with my cycle as I've always had at least a high by now. Hopefully I'll get something in the next few days. Pretty sure I'm panicking for no reason but still it just adds doesn't it to the worry... if I get no positive this month think I'll go to the doctors and ask for some help.

The "at least"s are just the worst!

Thanks for the tip on taking aspirin MsJuniper. I will make sure I go for a low dose and after a meal if I do end up taking it (chances are I'll chicken out anyway!).

Bertie, sorry you're still in af territory. It drags doesn't it!! I was batting around the idea of getting another dog after my last mc as well but managed to talk myself out of it because of additional cost and time. Weigh up all the options carefully, especially with a rescue as you don't know how they'll react when you do bring a baby home one day. I'm sure you've thought of all that though, tell me to bugger off and mind my own business 😂

I'm cd 13 today. Had sore boobs and felt sick for the past 3 or 4 days so thinking that ovulation is certainly on it's way. Just waiting for the ewcm that I usually go on to confirm. I'm actually due to ovulate while we're away camping for a couple of nights so hoping that dtd enough beforehand will do the job!

emvy · 26/07/2017 10:09

Nocats, that's exactly why I don't use opk's - far too much additional stress if you don't see what you expect! Hope you get a static soon though.

Fox, so sorry you're here but welcome. It's great you can be open with friends but we're always here if ever you feel like you're boring them! I often feel like this. I haven't bothered waiting for af either times but bleeding has taken so long to subside that I've ended up doing so. There's no medical reason you need to, so if you feel ready, there's no need to wait x

BertieBotts · 26/07/2017 10:24

Yeah, we've been looking at dogs for months and months now, had one all lined up then they said we couldn't do it because of our stairs :(

OP posts:
MsJuniper · 26/07/2017 10:40

Fox I think the main reason they say to wait is for dating purposes. Unless there were complications/infections etc. I have been in your position at your age and I'm still going age 41 so personally I'd recommend trying again as soon as you feel able.

I had a meeting with a prospective employee this morning who announced she was pregnant. Completely blindsided me. Managed not to cry. She said she understood if we didn't want to consider her but she is a good candidate and I don't want to overlook someone for that reason. On the selfish side I don't want to work with someone who is pregnant!

Looks like af is here for me. Bloody painful as usual. Great.

I think I will start temping again in a few days and if I remember I may finish off the cheap opks that I have.

I have no plans to take aspirin yet, and my little medical head is urging those who want to start taking it to just run it past your gp first. It's a blood thinner too so remember to tell dentist and other people if they ask.

Can't help myself sorry.

I'm so sad to see new people here too, but you have found a lovely place to vent and get support.

I'm going to try and exercise in an attempt to not lay in bed and eat cake. Wish me luck.

So sorry for your losses Fox Flowers

Look after yourself bliss, hot water bottle, the good drugs, something sweet! And yes, very sensible advice on aspirin. Fox you just buy the low dose which is 75mg in the chemist or superdrug or wherever.

A puppy Bertie! Do your stairs rule out any dog or just particular ones? Sorry af still hanging around.

Mouth temping is more convenient but I was getting mad jaggedy mountain lines and FF suggested trying up the fanjo and has stopped berating me since so I'll stick with it for now Grin

MsJuniper · 26/07/2017 11:47

I would just take the low dose (75mg) Fox unless you have medical advice. I had 2 blood tests across 3 months to test for stickiness so that's the main reason I have been prescribed 150.

As another poster said it is a blood thinner and shouldn't be taken without any caution.

Noo not a puppy, hopefully an older dog so it's a bit more settled! Would love a puppy but the biting and toilet training Shock

It was just that dog because she had a bad knee, but it's a consideration for anything heavier than we can carry anyway.

The aspirin/blood thinner idea is to rule out a certain cause of miscarriage, if you've just had one MC and nothing to suggest this then I wouldn't bother taking it. It's useful when there's an indication that it can help but the clotting issue isn't always the cause of MC.

I'm just taking folic acid. I'm not really convinced the other multivitamins add anything. I do have iron at the moment because I was feeling really tired but that seems to be going away now. You do need to be careful with non-pregnancy specific multivitamins because some of them contain stuff which is harmful e.g. large amounts of vitamin A.

Good news! My cysts have gone! They appeared after my loss and needed to be monitored. My body is getting back to normal. My lining was 8mm thick better than the 2mm after my erpc.

Now I'm day 15 and had thought I ovulated already... but the scan revealed no follicles, no sign of corpus leuteum, no free fluid... all of these point to no egg released right?! I thought that a corpus Leuteum was needed to provide progesterone for the early pregnancy.

I bet that I didn't do it this month! How annoying.

Welcome to the newbies. Sorry you find yourself here.

emvy · 26/07/2017 13:29

Well if you've been planning a dog for a while Bertie, I'd go for it! Do you have any other dogs?

In relation to vitamins, I just take folic acid and vitamin d as those were the ones recommended by my gp when we started ttc. Apparently, most brits don't get enough vitamin d, even in summer, and we should be taking them all the time, whether ttc or not! I've considered the pregnancy multi vitamins but as my folic acid and vitamin d never run out at the same time, I've never bothered and just ended up continually replacing those! I really doubt the pregnacare caused your mc. Nothing you did caused your mc. This is mostly the case unless you do some pretty drastic, as far as I'm aware. You're more than fine to carry on taking the pregnacare or just individual vitamins, I wouldn't stress yourself out too much with it but it's a good idea to have a focus Smile

Oh Bertie now you're swaying me back the other way regarding aspirin! This is why I didn't try it last time. Maybe I won't...

MsJuniper · 26/07/2017 14:19

I had family members who said "why don't you try aspirin" and had anecdotes about people they knew etc. I was too scared to try it not on medical advice though. Slightly annoying when that was the advice I got from the RMC after a year of appts!

I felt like my symptoms were disappearing today but I caved and bought a Frer which is darker than yesterday. I've attached the pic, sorry if it is upsetting for anyone and sorry for complaining when I know lots of you are desperate to see this. (For those who've just joined, I've had 6 mc including 3 cps so am assuming the worst). Wish I could I could shut my brain off from thinking about it all.

TTC After MC 12: Hopeful Twats and Emotional Wrecks welcome!
AnneLovesGilbert · 26/07/2017 14:35

We LOVE a BFP Juniper, well I do. I know we've all had losses and it's a pile of miserable crap, and obviously an amazing place to share stuff, but we're officially gathering to TTC so post away love! x

Have you had an HCG test and getting a follow up?

I'm going to keep fingers and toes (can't do eyes) crossed for you till we have good news.

Awesome news Lime! Glad all's getting back on track. It's a good feeling.

I asked about it at the RMC when we had our first appointment in Jan. He said no need. Then had all the blood tests, clear for everything, but after 4th loss in Feb he said to try it. Increases blood flow to the uterus (and everywhere, presumably).

Done sod all for me so far but I feel better trying something and following his advice. Despite no diagnosis despite tests I have had 4 mcs now so something's clearly wrong.... Sad

I take a veggie friendly pregnancy multivit, cheap and on amazon. Separate vit D, and a probiotic. Since I started TTC 18 months ago I've had cystitis x 2, thrush x 2, and a post op infection, it's been a barrel of laughs, so I take the probiotic everyday as I've hammered the crap out if my insides on antibiotics!

MsJuniper · 26/07/2017 15:01

I'm supposed to contact the RMC and the medical trial people but I haven't yet. I am supposed to be having a procedure (hysteroscopy) in September and I don't want to have that cancelled if it doesn't stick. I figured I'll give it till next week.

Have any of you read It Starts With The Egg? I followed all the mc related advice and based my vits on that. Ubiquinol, vit C, Myo-Inisitol and Folate as well as pregnacare conception. I've stopped the ubiquinol and vit c since the positive test. I've also just been reading about Magnesium. So hard to know though.

MsJuniper · 26/07/2017 15:04

Also thank you Annie!

Lime that is good news about your cysts. It does sounds like you didn't ovulate, maybe your body was holding itself back while they were being fixed?

Raysunshine · 26/07/2017 17:32

yellow and emvy thanks for your support. Got my basal body temperature and ov sticks today so trying my best to treat it as a new adventure. Even though I miscarried, I didn't use any of this stuff before. So I am hoping it will tell me a little about my fertility etc.
Sorry I haven't commented on anyone else's post, it's such a popular thread and I can do possibly read everyone's and comment but I will try my best as time goes on.
Good luck for everyone here!

Lime19 · 26/07/2017 17:46

I'm having a glass of wine tonight and treating next month as a fresh cycle. It's unlikely I ovulated this month going by my scan results. I might start temping and doing the sticks... has anyone tried that clear blue gadget that costs over 100 quid? Some fertility monitor? Is it worth it?

My new worry: what if I don't ovulate ever again!

With miscarriage I find taking each step at a time helps... surgical management, getting mc bleeding to stop, first period, first time trying again etc etc. BUT there seems to be a new worry at each stage too... what if my period doesn't show up? What if it's too light? Or too heavy?

I'm now at the "what if I'm not ovulating stage"

I need wine

AnneLovesGilbert · 26/07/2017 18:00

WineWineWineWine go for it lime. I hear you x
