Morning all...

Well have a fun packed day getting ready for Wales. Hopefully the sun will be shining and we can go in the swimming pool every day. (MIL has a lovely outdoor swimming pool in her back garden).

OMG - Hi Lottie... all the way from Spain. You sound like you are having such a peaceful and healthy existence in Spain, sounds lovely. I hope you and DP sort things out one way or the other.

MrsMcJnr - Lots of hugs {{{{{HUGS}}}}}}, me and DH have had lots of emotional falling outs, especially around 'prime' time! Its so emotionally draining and hard work. Men just deal with things so differently! I'm sure he did not mean that the baby was just cells, maybe that is how he is looking at it to sort it out/handles it in his own mind.

OK folks, My brother is home tomorrow, for 2 weeks, so expect lots of upset and emotional stuff... Hopefully with going to Wales we might be able to just avoid him for the rest of the time he is here. I really don't think I could be in the same room as his wife at the moment..so enough said.. but just a warning in advance that I might be Venting a lot!

Hi jess. You had the right idea, but you have to move the DPOs on 1 as well (I keep forgetting that). But I think MrsMcJ was using wednesdays in her last post, so you were still a day out.

I think I have this right but please check peeps as I am not v good at this either!!!

I have taken off Beansprout as she has graduated, is that OK or do you guys keep homage to the great BFP of the month to remind us all that it is possible.

Had a chat with DH last night, and as you know we like our army analogies in our house! So decided that may be his Army did take the fortress, but there underground insurgents in me managed to dislodge the foothold of the invasion. He was pleased to know that his troops were not technically at fault and is sending lots of positive energy their way to encourage them for another invasion in a few weeks.

I know some of you are army wives, please do not think that I am taking the mick btw. My FIL was military and DH LOVES history and battles etc etc so it just keeps us entertained.

iwillbepgbydec2007 · 27/04/2007 10:23

hi ladies!

LOTTIE!! hellloooo!! i didnt forget about you just wasnt sure if you read the thread anymore. im glad to hear you are settling in well. very at cycling along the beach front and the eye candy even if they are a bit set in there conversational ways!

nappyvalley - you do make me laugh reading your descriptions is like reading an adult bedtime story.

hello ready, mum03,minxi, duchese, rahrah, and everyone else! welcome jess xx

mrsmcjnr - you are certainly going through the mill at the moment and you really do not deserve what is happening at the moment i feel so for you. on a positive note though atleast you have more than likely pin pointed the cause of your mc and in the future you have hopefully been spared the heartache of going through one again as you can now take steps to prevent it from happening again. im so sorry to hear too that dp is being less than supportive when you really do need him the most right now. i got through my mc basically on my own as my dp was "over it" too literally the day after it happened. he too saw our baby as nothing just cells which hurt immensely. i am glad that you have talked it over now. i hope your day is brighter than yesterday. ((hugs)) xxxx

me and dp watched jprdan and peter last night - i have to say my mental state is crumbling rapidly. peter was holding junior and junior was cuddling him - i know this is what babies do but it made me cry because my heart is aching for this soo much! its not even the feeling like when you see somthing in a shop window and you WANT it - its so so so much more powerful than that and it actually aches inside - does anyone else have this?
i am having some freaky dreams too, i am infertile and going for tests and i get told nothing can be done.
then in the next breath i have had 4 babies but i am not allowed to keep them and they get taken away from me.
these dreams sound stupid but they are so in depth when i have them and i am waking up tears rolling down my cheek and shaking. i think this doctors appointment is playing on my mind more than i think...i have had lots of other dreams but i wont bore you with them. i might go and section myself for the next few days.

after seeing junior with peter last night i said to dp dont you just want that, he said yes more than anything in the world - in the next breath he suggested giving up alcohol this is a major breakthrough for him to even speak them words - whether it happens or not though is another story!

Lottie - woo! Lovely to hear from you!! PMSL at the 2-dimensional Sailors ? oh the imagery! get yourself a drink and just drool over them from the bar ? save yourself the boredom of Boat Talk!
It?s nice to know that you have been lurking and watching over us! It also makes me feel less of a loon for throwing in the odd hello message! We miss you lots!
I am sorry to hear that there is still uncertainty with DP ? my fingers are crossed that your ?decision? comes soon for you. It can?t be easy to have to make such a decision, there are so many factors affecting it. Thinking of you!
Anyway ? glad that you are running and enjoying the surrounding so much! I flicked past some footage last night, and thought of you. DH thought I had cracked up and asked why I had stopped on that channel! Take good care of yourself!! (hug)

MrsMc - I won?t give you any more waffle to read but I just want you to know that I am thinking of you! And I am so sorry that you are going through all of this.(((BIG HUG)))Rah - I am sorry to hear that you brother is home. That has come round quick! Feel free to vent as much as you want to! We are all here for you ? and it is better out than bottled up and eating away at you!! It?s great that you are going to Wales, I know it won?t be out of sight, out of mind ? but it should take the sting out of it a bit.
at the swimming pool!! I hope the weather picks up so that you can make full use of it ? and conceive too! Big hugs. Take care.

Rattling - Looks to me from your chart that you ovulated on CD19?? And that tallys with the +ve on 17 doesn?t it? You could have ovulated early on 19. OR you could have ovulated very late on 18 and it was too early the next morning for the hormone to have surged enough to create the temp rise??? What do you think??? Hope the Effort was well timed??

Iwillbe - My temp drops dramatically ? but I think there are plenty of people who have temps that gradually fall. Take a look at everyone?s charts and see the massive differences between all of us. There are no hard and fast rules. Once you have been charting a few months (although I hope you won?t have to!) you will see your pattern emerge. Don?t panic!

Hey Fettleandminifettle - Hope all is well

NappyValley - Not sure of the best sites to go for advice on tips for swimmers. Someone will know some cracking sites, I am sure!
I have got DH taking daily supplement of zinc. Zinc is essential for healthy sperm ? I read that the zinc powers them along . Some sperm get to the egg but don?t have enough energy to ?drill through? the egg wall ? and zinc is supposed to be good for them in that instance! I have this image of these sperm flying (probably swimming actually?!) along and getting to the egg and just collapsing with fatigue! [eek] Although, I am sure you could come up with an Army Analogy that better describes it

Seaside - I thought of you last night, I had Sky+ed Property Ladder (not sure if you watch it, but it is part of my Property Must Watch Shows!) and there was shock horror a pregnant lady and then obviously by the time they had finished developing there was a gorgeous baby to look at! Sarah?s voiceover said something along the lines of ?and they are expecting their first baby? ? my immediate reaction was ?shock!? - DH couldn?t stop laughing at me! Am I bitter?

Jess - The thread seems to have gone a little quiet over the last week or two, but it is picking up again. I think we were all getting a little bit deflated over a lack of BFPs. How are you feeling chick??

minxi - How?s it going?? What does the clomid feel like? Does it affect your mood?

duchesse - hope you found your thermometer!

Sorry if I have missed anyone, totally unintentional ? I have a stonking headache and need to get away from the computer!

duchesse · 27/04/2007 12:58

Hi gals. Found thermometer at 11am this morning, but it was my old one, the one I don't like, so I don't know whether to trust it when it tells me 35.9c.

Also am becoming firmly convinced that OPKs are not for me, as have every symptom of ovulation going at today, but OPKs firmly negative (ie no second line) whereas this time last week there were two lines, although one fainter than the other. Do not know if this month is going to be any good as have wasted two nights- one working through the night, the other (last night) accidentally slept on the sofa.

Any ideas as to what the deuce could be going on?

beansprout · 27/04/2007 17:04

Hi. I'm back. Seems today is CD1. I can't stop crying.

RahRah1 · 27/04/2007 17:13

Oh beansprout, so so sorry! I can't believe it, so gutted for you..

Massive Massive hugs {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

greedygreedyguzzler · 27/04/2007 17:53

beansprout - are you sure its not just the bleeding that so many women get at the start of pg? i had horrible bleeding and clots 2 days after my bfp and it carried on for weeks, but all seems ok for me. i know others have had bleeding too and it hasn't been ok, but i would go to the EPU and find out.
i went to the EPU and they did a blood test to check my hcg levels and then i went back 2 days later to have them done again and if they have doubled they consider the pg viable.
i hope its not as bad as you think. i was convinced it was all over for me and couldn't quite believe it when it wasn't. i really hope its the same for you

honeyapple · 27/04/2007 18:05

Oh Beansprout... like Greedy says, are you really sure this is CD1? Lots of hugs and love. xxx

honeyapple · 27/04/2007 18:06

Oh and HELLO! to Lottie. Really good to hear from you. Sorry to hear not all fantastic on DP front. Enjoy your time in Spain.

NappyValley · 27/04/2007 19:41

Beansprout. You must be an emotional whirlwind. Massive hugs and everything crossed that the others are right and it is not what you fear. Thinking of you.

seaside72 · 27/04/2007 19:53

beansprout I am so sorry you are going through this
There is a chance it may not be over as greedy says. Until I joined MN I never knew how many women experience bleeding during pg.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the BFP sticks and that you get some reassurance asap.

{{{big hugs}}}

beansprout · 27/04/2007 20:12

Just back. Hcg is negative so I think I have had a chemical pregnancy, which would explain the faint lines. It's all over anyway. Am finding this very hard.

MrsMcJnr · 27/04/2007 20:13

Hello Fettleandmini thanks for your kind words and for admitting about crying for the ones you lost. I keep warning myself to stop thinking that the next baby will put an end to all the pain. Telling myself I will still miss Ava. DH and I chatted about it all last night, I told him that his being ?over it? and not seeing her as having been a baby but just cells made me feel more alone and he recognized that the way he expressed his feelings did deny the miscarriage which was so traumatic for us both. I think we are ok now. I see where you are coming from about the Thrombophilia but I guess I was hoping that the MC was just bad luck and wouldn?t have been down to anything that might re-occur. You are right, treatment works in the majority of cases. Let?s hope I am one of them. How are you feeling these days?

NappyValley ? thanks hon I?ve really appreciated your support over the last few days. How are you doing today? Not sure of a place (internet place?) to get that info, I would be interested too. Sorry for messing up the temps Love the army analogy, wish the insurgents had been defeated though.

Hey Jess1996 ? thanks hon

Oh Lottie HELLO !! Sorry to hear you are down about the lack of TTC hon and that things are fraught with DP, I really am. Glad to hear the sailors are nice looking Good for you on the running, bet you are looking fab! Don?t stay away too long.

Hello RahRah you vent here all that you like hon, we are behind you 150% x

Iwillbe, hello there thanks for your kind words for me. I don?t think DH realized how insensitive he sounded, he didn?t mean to make things worse for me. All ok now Sorry about the dreams, I have a lot of very vivid ones too (and when I do have a baby in them, I always keep him (always a him!) on top of the wardrobe?! My temp is often still quite high during AF too.

Hey Ready hang in there honey!!

Hi Duchesse ? glad you found a thermometer to use! OPKs can be tricky little blighters, they have got me going mad before now too.

Oh God Beansprout ? NO! are you ok? What is happening? I hope you are like Greedy and it?s a false alarm.

Hello Patron Saint Greedy ? miss chatting with you must get over to the graduate?s thread to see you all and catch up.

Hey Honyapple ? hope things are good with you

fettleandminifettle · 27/04/2007 21:02

Oh Beansprout - I am so so sorry! how awful for you - it is so cruel to have had a BFP to have it taken away from you so quickly. I remember how awful I felt over Christmas when I had my 2nd mc at only 5 weeks. You look after yourself - glad to see that you are getting straight back on the horse so to speak.

MrsMc - glad to hear that you and DH have sorted things out - I'm a real advocater of talking, talking, talking around these times, as it is so easy to be misunderstood I think when you are so emotional and unbalanced still. Keep up the talking. I know what you mean about the mc, in a way after my 1st, i kind of hoped that it was a one-off, but when I had the 2nd, I wanted to know why much more, so that I could have a chance of stopping it happening again. Thankfully though, I know I've been lucky. Still can't believe I'm 18 weeks tomorrow - its gone very quickly. Still worried everytime I go to the loo or with every ache and pain, but i don't think that will ever go away.

Lottie - sorry to hear you sounding a bit low. We had a motivational speaker who was a round the world yachtsman, but my goodness was he dull! he had the most beautiful eyes, but after 25 mins even that part of him got boring and he continued to talk for over an hour (wasn't his fault that his speech had only started at 1130pm, but still...). But he was gorgeous, just wish I'd had more interest and understanding in sailing!! Enjoy the scenery while your in Spain, both country and eye candy! and Enjoy getting extra fit - sounds wonderful!

Hello to everyone else

Girls, cheer up its the weekend!!

Ready clomid only made me go very a few days before my af started and a couple of days after...but was very weepy which is not like me at all. How are you feeling this month - are you positive, do you feel different...fingers firmly crossed this is your month - we need someone to have a bfp..

Beansprout very sorry to hear your news, it will happen but are you very sure its not just spotting?....big hugs to you {{{hugs}}}

MrsMc hope you and dp are okay now...it is very hard when your feeling emotional and stressed having to ttc again, I hope all is working out and this month will be the one {{{hugs}}}

Lottie great to hear from you but not so great about you and dp....I'm sure you will work it out but living apart as well can put alot of strain on a relationship, when my dh first went away for a week at a time (he is on projects so has been away for the most part of 10 years)...I hated it and we would row all the time about what he was up to etc etc .....but now I'm used to it and actually the last few weeks he has been based mainly in london so it would be quite nice to have a break again!! (joke) but maybe as he's around more I might fall pg! Chin up - kepp smiling and great to hear you are having a good time too and getting healthy!

Rah enjoy your break and try not to think about your brother....have a good time

seaside hope all is okay and good news that you have your clinic appointment in 2 weeks....good luck with that! Hope you are okay about it all - I felt fine about the clinic was just glad that something else was happening which would (will) have a positive outcome

fettleminif glad to hear you are okay and 18 weeks..wow that is going fast...hopefully before you have minifettle we are all with mini's from the tempbuds

everyone else - hello to all
