beansprout - my tests were very faint to start with too. i think some people just have lower HCG levels than others. if you look up the normal ranges on the internet they vary HUGELY. and dont forget 18 high temps in a row means you are pg too!
hope the line gets more convincing for you soon

minxi · 22/04/2007 18:34

All...have had another busy day in the garden despite having a dreadful head...ended up drinking far too much white wine and then ended up in tears that I didn't think I would end up having another child because of the depo etc etc and feel like a fool today!! (was out with nct group from ds1 group so known each other for a while and all of them have fallen pg so easily except 1,) oh god feel such a muppet!! What was I thinking should never have gone out last night!!
Despite all that no more blood...it was only when I wiped there was blood so nothing too hectic and today when I've been to the loo only a few grainy bits (very small) and not every time... so have no idea really what is going on....cd25 today...so could just be starting early and taking its time.

Beansprout - a line is a line! Congratulations despite me feeling crazy and upset yesterday am fine today so don't mind other people talking about their babies!!

Ready - did have a good night - just drank too much.... hope you are having a lovely sunday..

nappy - never heard of polips...sure it is af though just being slooooowwww

everyone else hello off to do dinner now

Been out sailing with my dad today. Mum was watching ds while dh got some work done. Have been really depressed and grumpy this weekend. Don't think it is because of ttc, more fed up with constantly having a list of jobs a mile long and having builders in to do our drive. All weekend we have had to walk over a long plank as we cannot walk on the drive. It is covered in a black dust and the cats have made havoc with black prints over everything!!

Ok whinge over with. It is not like me to feel depressed though except for inabout a weeks time when AF starts. but i have lots of easter choc on stand by.

beansprout I am sure the not knowing for certain is heartaching. I had 3 negative tests with ds1 (yes I only did 1 test per day!!!:0) ) How do you feel? sore breasts etc? also are you testing first thing in the morning? I am sure you are though. keeping everthing (except my legs) crossed.

minxi you have to hang onto that social life!! although it is v tough when nct group get preggy so easily. ds is only 17 months and 3 out of my group are due to drop in next 2 months. all fell at frist atempt. I just keep repeating my mantra of "I am happy for them" - actually I really am, but a little jealous. Don't give up hope yet, it will happen. Hope hangover has now improved.

beansprout · 22/04/2007 21:20

Thank you so much for your support, I really appreciate it. So far no period so am keeping all manner of things crossed.

Minx - I am a dep casualty too. It's 18 months now since I came off it, and well, here I am. It's awful, awful stuff and has been the cause of much misery in this house. It made me depressed, trashed my sex drive and it then took months for my periods to come back, and is, I suspect, part of the reason ttc this baby is taking so long. All the others in my peer group already have their second now, so I know how you feel.

Nappy - I'm also seeking solace in Easter chocolate this evening. I raise my (chocolate) egg to you!

Ready and greedy - thank you both. Cycle varies from 26 to 32 days so difficult to know. Most recently has been pretty much 28 days so tomorrow feels significant! Arghhhh!!

Where's that chocolate?!!

RahRah1 · 23/04/2007 08:54

Morning all... sorry been really busy over the weekend. To tell you the true I have not temped this cycle yet or really come onto MN... I will just put it down as 36.2 until I feel I want to temp again. Just feeling really down about everything and need to pull myself back up. Sorry for being pants and not supporting you guys, but need a breather... Just feel so disappointed and its making me miss Bertie more... so need to shift my focus for a while.

Operation Shag didn't quite work out as DH's sinuses are bunged up and I have a sore throat which stopped me sleeping most of the weekend. We still managed to BD on Sunday, but it was a bit more functional than frivolous.

Feel much better today. Faint band on OPK yesterday which suggests OV tomorrow, so we may be getting well just in time.

Minxi - has AF arrived yet, or was it just one day bleeding? Sounds a bit unusual.

Beansprout - have you tested again today? Still got everything crossed for you.

Hope everyone enjoyed the good weather - still hoping for rain here, but not too concerned about having to deal with the sunshine instead .

Yet another stupidly faint line. Have decided to stop going quietly mad (was awake for 3 hours in the night and I would have tested then if it wouldn't have woken dh and raised questions over my sanity ). Will try to leave it for a couple of days. Temp still high so we live in hope.

Have made a (sugar free!) banana cake with ds this morning so we are off to have a bit of a pig out

Rattling - sounds like you really are in the "business end" of the month. Good luck!

Morning to everyone else

Beansprout - do not fret yet, my tests with dc1 were very faint for two weeks... the tests can vary in the level of hcg they measure even with the same type of test. Your temps being high are important too. {{{hugs}}} to you anyway.

Morning all Had a lovely weekend away but am back in work and getting the icy shoulder from colleagues so probably only a 6 on NappyValley?s scale today. My temp was 36.1 at 5.20 when I woke up to a coughing fit so rather than adjust it up an hour and hike my temp over my coverline, I?ll leave it as is. Not well anyway so assume it will be higher than its meant to be. Called for my blood results today, thyroid is fine, blood count was ok but they want more blood to re-check that and iron so have to go back on Thursday. Work are not pleased but what can I do?! DH and I have started ?the mission of return to Mother ship (from Father ship)?. Still getting ?ive OPKs but then I am only CD14 and don?t expect to OV until CD16-18. Having pains though so that?s promising. Enlisted the help of an old pillow to hoist the hips up post party ? well, you just never know if it works or not!!

Rattling, I hope you are feeling much better. I always worry about not feeling well around OV as body might decide it can?t cope with anything other than looking after me .

Hello Feedmenow nice to have you with us. Ready did a great job of explaining how it all works but ask us questions anytime

RahRah ? how are you hon? Feeling ok? Hope you had fun at the church clear up. So sorry you are feeling low. I really hope your BFPs in the pipeline.

Hello Ready ? great explanation for Feedmenow I think Confident is great hon the whole process of BFP hunting is exhausting and you are doing all you can so you should be confident how are you getting on with the OPKs?

Hey Iwillbe hope you had fun on the bike. Shout at me if I am wrong but it sounds like the temps are getting you stressed, don?t let them hon, you must see the wood for the trees, there will be ups and downs and days you just have to discredit all together but you will see a pattern overall if you stand back from them .

Hello Minxi - sorry about the bleed hope it was a false alarm and if not, I hope May is your lucky month

Hello NappyValley - 7 on the scale is pretty good I think

Hi Beansprout fingers crossed that this really is it for you. Hope you bean gets much stronger as the days go on.

Ready · 23/04/2007 15:21

Minxi - Oh sweetheart, I am sure that they understood your tears! Don?t feel bad about letting go of your emotions ? sometimes it is just the ticket to a clear head! Chart spotted this morning, and saw a RED M on your chart ? are you ok??

NappyValley - Sorry that you have been so low. I understand, it can really get to you when there are little things that all build up. I find writing a list really helps, then I feel good when I cross things off. Sailing sounds like fun though!!

Beansprout - I am sorry that you still haven?t had that conclusive BFP!! Hang in there, and just keep temping, cos 18 high temps are as good as a line!! Fingers crossed for you Are the lines getting darker??

Rah - I am really sorry that you are feeling so low at the moment, but don?t apologise for not coming on MN ? if you need a break, that is the most important thing! I really cannot imagine the things you have been through, and your story breaks my heart ? so you should do whatever you need to do to stay strong. Thinking of you, flower. Take care.

Rattling - ROFL at Operation Shag. Sorry to hear that you and DH have been poorly ? but function over frivolity is better than nowt And you are on the mend, just in time!!

Mum03 - How?s the not temping going??

MrsMc - I am sorry that you are getting the icy shoulder ? sod them, that?s what I say!! Don?t give a stuff what they think. Sorry but you have a medical appointment, that you need to attend ? work will have to deal with it!! I know it isn?t easy though, when you have enough emotional concerns, without work politics. Hang in there flower. Big hugs. So tell us some more about the Mother Ship Plan
OPKs ? well, I got a strong line on CD14 and I OVd on CD16, so I think I would have got a really good positive if I had tested at midnight on 14! Relief.

Seaside - Just in case you are having a lurk ? Big hug.

Everyone else ? hope you are not having the rain that this part of the country is having! Boooooooooooo. Chin up all

MrsMcJnr · 23/04/2007 15:35

Hello Ready thanks, I know you are right but I always think people will be worse to me than they are, think my self-confidence took a knock as the same time as my heart, soul and body over the MC. I?m not used to having to share my private life with work so much I guess. How are you? Glad you are getting positive OPKs I got ?ive last night at 7 and ?ive this morning at 11am but that?s ok, I know it?s early, just don?t want to miss the boat. Started dreaming about EWCM again

minxi · 23/04/2007 21:41

Ready - af arrived in full flow this morning...so taking that as cd1 decided to chart this month too as need to obsess what is going on...scared about taking the clomid tomorrow again as turning into and emotional wreck when af is due does not feel good!! felt sad this morning but okay now... hope you are doing okay, you seem v positive so that is a good sign!

Beansprout - glad to hear that it is a positive after the depo nightmare that lives on (with me anyway)...gives me hope that with the clomid something has to happen!

MrsMcJ - hope you get your opk soon!! also hope that work are not getting you down, do you work in an environment where others don't have children ? I found when I was expecting my ds1 that I had high bp and I was at the hospital every other day from about 6 months pg (not all roses even when your half way through - but worth it!!) and felt reeally bad going into work at 10/10.30 etc everyone looking but it was because most of them were young and didn't have families.... a few years later loads have kids etc etc and I bet they don't blink an eye now! I used to dread getting the nursery number up on screen as knew I would have to leave early - used to put calpol in my sons yoghurt for lunch to make him get through the afternoon...not being cruel but they would send him home if he had so much as a sniff it worked!!

rahrah - we understand - a break does you good! Come back smiling

everyone else - off to bed! will fill myself in on the chart tomorrow - although ready have no idea where that degree symbol is!!

OP posts:
RahRah1 · 24/04/2007 08:53

mornings all,

Just thought I would drop in to say hi...

Going to Wales at the weekend, to the MIL's! For 11 days!!!

I still have not temp'd yet, but I bet when I'm around ovulation temptation may prevail!

minxi - sorry to hear about AF, a few people I have met are taking clomid and its taken a few cycles to work...never heard of it working on the first cycle. I hope next month the cycle is easier, I also heard the side effects can be quite harsh... so well done!

MrsMcJnr - Totally understand about your work position, I found it horrible that everyone knew about my personal life. If I had not been made redundant I am not sure what I would of done about work, so you are being so brave. Plus one thing I learned is its not about them and being competitive (because those environments are so competitive) its about your desires and what you want out of life. If work is not number one (sadly for some of the girls at my work it was and they were not nice people for it) and you can accept people's antics etc... but can rise above it because you have more important things to concern yourself with. IYKWIM

RahRah1 · 24/04/2007 09:02

Ready - Thanks for your concern... just need some time out... too much disappointment and all that! I have been seeing a counselor, as the cruse org was not for me, so been paying to see someone (£45 per hour...phew!) So working it out healthily! Your in the home stretch now for this cycle.. so hope its a home goal... lol sorry could not resist!

Beansprout - hope all is well and your temps seem to be saying 'pregnant', why don't you go down the doc's and ask him/her to confirm it, then the worry of actually are you pregnant is out the way>... and you can start worrying about being pregnant... LOL
Thats a point, how comes you get to worry about a child from the moment of pre-conception to the day you die! Blimey if you look at it like that its one hell of a commitment!

NappyValley - the sailing sounded loads of fun, did you have a good time? Sorry you have been feeling crappy... so annoying when everything is in the way! Tell the builders to shift it!

mum03 - Hi there, so glad to hear from you, how are you! Hope all is well and it sounds bad but I miss your rants... as when you rant you are so funny..but of course preferred if you were happy all the time!

RahRah1 · 24/04/2007 09:07

Sorry, messages were so long, had to do a Ready with my posts!

Rattling - its just sods law isn't it.... you wait all month for the perfect moment and then your ill! what a nightmare... well I hope the 'functional' shag did the job!

Seaside - IS seaside taking a break too? If you are out the Sea... hope all is well.. XX

iwillbepgbydec2007 - hope af stays away.... how long is your normal AF, is it day 12 for you? So close... fingers crossed!

RahRah1 · 24/04/2007 09:07

I don't think I have missed anyone, but just in case... Hi!

And beware... I'm lurking... LOL

mum03 · 24/04/2007 09:14

OK I confess I have been temping for the last week so much for not obsessing this month. But it has shown that I am now 4dpo and therefore, I will stop temping again tomorrow (she says!!!)

Rah - hope the trip to Wales goes well, I hope that you get quality time to spend with your dh while there. You are very much in my thoughts.

Minxi - sorry to hear that cd1 stuck again, but glad to hear that you are not too down about it.

MrsMc - sorry to hear that work are not being very understanding. Are you feeling physically any better, or is the doc still concerned about you>? You are having more blood tests on Thursday but when will they give you the results do you think?

Rattling - hope that you and dh are feeling fit enough to manage another session before ov arrives.

Iwillbe - hi, haven't chatted to you in a while, how are you?

Nappy - hi, hope that you need your chocolate to celebrate instead of commiserate next week!

feedmenow - you appeared briefly - are you joining us on this board?

Ready - Can I borrow some of your positivity please?

Hi to everyone else I have missed out here too.

mum03 · 24/04/2007 09:16

I AM SO CHEESED OFF

MrsMc - I was going to say, are you sure they are giving you the icy shoulder, or are you just assuming that is what they are doing because you are conscious of the potential ? but then I thought that might not sound very helpful. I am the same, a few years back I had an glandular thing that knocked me for six, and I had a week off sick, then the doc signed me off for another week, and when I went back I had convinced myself everyone was slating me. I know what you have been through is totally different, but it?s just natural to be worried about other people ? although we really shouldn?t care two hoots! Giggle at you dreaming about EWCM ? I have been having some horrid dreams, but nothing involving CM

Minxi - Sorry to hear about the full flow. Charting doesn?t have to mean you are obsessing chick, just that you want to know all the facts, and want to keep an eye on how things are ticking along. Don?t beat yourself up for wanting to know your own body. Does the clomid cause mood swings and emotional feelings? Fingers crossed for you! I just found the degree symbol in Word, and cut and pasted it ? not just a hat-rack ? giggle at calpol in the yoghurt

Rah - Fancy doing a Ready with your posts ? how very chic and I did chuckle a plenty at your football analogy post ? even with the mood I am in ? so well done you I am not in the least optimistic today, sorry to say.
Good to hear that you are talking things through with someone, I hope they are helping (at £45 an hour they better be ) ? enjoy your trip to Wales, and if you feel the need to temp, go for it, like I said to Minxi, there is nothing obsessive about wanting to know.

Mum03 - Some swine came in through the window last night and stole all my positivity, so I have none to share. Why are you not feeling positive then??

Seaside - Sending you some happy thoughts hon, missing you.

Hope everyone else is just grand.

Morning ladies the sun is finally out again today ? first time since last Weds (it would be on the day I have training over lunch!) meeting a friend for a glass of beautifully chilled white Rioja (or two!) this evening but as I am in those 5 days that Zita says you have to treat your body really well and limit toxins I thought if I ate really well all day and had tons of fruit the itsy bitsy glasses of wine wouldn?t hinder the value of my egg(s) ? am I fooling myself?! Sipping away at my Raspberry Leaf tea too, meant to be good for uterus lining! How are you all?!

Minxi ? Glad to hear you are feeling ok about things. CD1 is the worst I think. Hope the clomid doesn?t make you feel as bad this cycle. Still no +ive OPK for me yet but I shall persevere. I was reading a bit of Toni Weschler?s book last night and hadn?t realised that secondary signs of OV can be bloating, central abdominal cramps as well as the sharp ones at the side and a few others I have now forgotten My office is open plan and most of the women are single and younger than me with no kids, there isn?t really anyone here at my ?stage? if you know what I mean. It does make it hard. At my old office, the majority of them were in that ?stage? and talked about it constantly but I was planning my wedding and wasn?t the least bit interested at that stage ? what a difference a year makes!! There is a nursery (really expensive) next door to my office, how easy would that be?

Morning RahRah I hope you are feeling ok thanks for your kind words about the office, I guess I used to feel my career was my baby and I was very passionate about it, now it?s just a way to earn I crust. I know the passion for work might come back when I?m further down my life path but at the moment, you are right family does come first. I guess it?ll just take me some time to get into the mindset and to ignore the looks and jibes I hope the counsellor really helps you

Hello Mum03 ? fleecy pjs time for you then ? how I love the 2ww! I?m feeling a bit less exhausted now thanks, just tired because I am not getting much sleep due to my cough. I?ll speak to the Dr again next week so hopefully she?ll have the results from the blood clotting tests as well as Thursday?s iron and blood count. It is always a bit unsatisfactory getting results from my practice as the receptionist hasn?t got a clue what the Dr has written or what it means. Thanks for asking

Ready ? why are you cheesed off hon? you don?t sound like yourself at all ? what?s wrong? I do know what you mean, I am inclined to be paranoid and care too much about what people think but I think people just see me being off a lot and think I am a hypochondriac thanks for your empathy!

Hello to everyone else Lottie - I miss you and can just imagine you all bronzed on your bike on your way to work in the sun!
