seaside72 · 15/04/2007 21:26

OK - maybe not !!

duchesse · 15/04/2007 22:40

Ready- I didn't know the answer to your question, so I just opened the telephone directory. There seems to be a Chaucers Inn on the High Street, number 223, telephone number (01392) 422365, but I can't say I've ever noticed it. Is it the one with the bald waxwork waiter outside the front door holding the menu? Cos he always gives me the heeby-jeebies.

Well as suspected just as I had decided not to test and there was no need to have made the decision anyway
Sort of felt it this morn - woke up at 6am again and took temp was 36.66 so knew it wasn't looking good, stayed in bed having a cuddle and dozing and then at 7.30 9normal temp time) took temp again and it just reached 37.01 but by that point had felt a cramp. Put in adjusted temp on FF, prob shoud have done that yesterday too. TBH chart looks good and although there are plenty of pg charts out there with only 3 well timed bd's I know it is not enough for us.

I am determined not to cry - I am so fed up of crying - I am not a big crier in life and its exhausting and DH is fed up of it too. Will prob be unsuccessful and am dreading seeing bf tomorrow as I know her scan pics will set me off. Argghhh.

Hope everyone else is OK - rah??
Sorry for downer post Tak about "I dont like Mondays"!

Seaside - so sorry this wasn't your month. CD1 really is shoite. Hope you are looking after yourself.
Rahrah - sorry you feel things aren't going to go your way.

Am on CD22 and have come to hate this end of the 2ww. It's like a frigging roller coaster and I lose all sense of perspective, ranging from "I must be" to "don't be ridiculous woman, you had sex several times in the fertile bit of your cycle, how could you possibly be pregnant?!"
Read yesterday that from ages 35 to 40 there is only a 60% chance of conceiving within a year and this has sent me onto a complete downer. Arrghhhhhhhh!!!!!

Apart from that, I'm fine!

Hello to everyone else!

seaside72 · 16/04/2007 18:08

Hi girls - Thanks so much for the support and good wishes - it really does help -this has been the worst CD1 for a long while feel absolutely awful and have a banging migraine to boot - great!!

Just wanted to let you know I am signing off for a few days as off to London for work and no internet connection where I am staying so prob won't get online till the end of the week.

Rah sending a big hug and really hope more than anything that all your feelings are wrong and no AF appears

(seaside waves xxx)

RahRah1 · 16/04/2007 18:28

OK Seaside... Hope London is fun (I know it's work, but you never know!)

Best Wishes and Take Care... speak soon XX

MrsMcJnr · 16/04/2007 19:31

Hey ladies sorry I have been away so long, the olds wore me out and after they left yesterday I went to bed it was 8pm but then I was sick all night so reckon I ate something bad they, luckily, seem fine though. Off to collect DH from the airport in a few mins, I've really missed him .

Seaside - sending huge hugs I really hoped things would go differently. I can't see your photos, have they gone?

Rahrah - hang in there hon

Great news - two of my MN pals on "TTC after a MC" have just got their BFPs I'm tingling all over for them. They deserved them so much.

Hello to everyone, hope to catch up with you all tomorrow

Sorry all for going quiet. Had a laptop free weekend (I work in IT so sometimes need a break) enjoying sunshine.

Have had a funny "green light" zone that gives me little hope of success this month.

I think I said that I felt rough on Friday, despite a minor LH surge in the morning. Well by bedtime I was shivering and felt awful so miserably went to sleep. About 3am I was awake, hot and rustling enough to awaken DH. Bless him but he mangage to step up to the plate (as a way of trying to get back to sleep) and "send in the army".
He kept commenting that I seemed very hot, so I took my temperature (as unlike normal people we charting gals always have our trust thermometer to hand) and it was a whopping 38.11

Poor hubby put all that effort in and in the morning I had to tell him that actually he sent the troops into battle in a fields of naplam, and I am fairly sure death was swift and there were no survivours.

So Saturday morning temp down to 37.8 and just when you don't need it the little pink line (or known in our house as the "green light", mich nicer than saying "Honey I had my LH surge this morning") SO we put off going to my parents until sunday morning (officially so I could fully recover from my temperature) and managed to find a new army to mount serveral counter attacks on the the enemy now the napalm fires had been put out.

BUT here is the cruncher would have expected temp to be 36.49 this morning and it was still at my nornal level of 36.29. Does that mean the mysterious eggy has not shown its face or that my body does not know what an LH surge means anymore!!! Still who knows.

So that is the saga of my weekend and hence why I have no idea if I have ovulated or not yet. Will know when take temp tommorrow.

Seaside hope you are feeling better today. I always get very depressed the first 24hours. Thank heavens the fridge is now full of Easter chocy to drown sorrows in.

Ready Yeah it was hard with DS1 as everyone around us was getting pregnant so it was frustrating many of whom were not even trying! But I guess it was around the 8th cycle I thought I was doing something wrong. But at the end of the day getting pregnant is a complicated thing and taking a year is actually perfectly normal - but it sure the hell does not feel like it to people at the time.

I would encourage you all though that I have several mum friends who had a tough time of it one was trying for 3 years and suddenly fell and the other had polycyctic ovaries and it was a real challenge.

Anyone feeling down hang in there and for those that have lost ones along the way, I am sorry for your loss.

sorry this is such an essay!!

Iwillbe - Hey!!! You are back!! Sounds like you have been enjoying the weather and are well and truly relaxed! Good for you. Shame you didn?t manage any al fresco adventures but not to worry! Oh, which kids wouldn?t leave you alone??
The rest of Friday the 13th was fine! No more spillages

Beansprout - PMSL at your ?don't be ridiculous woman, you had sex several times in the fertile bit of your cycle, how could you possibly be pregnant?!" ? I am feeling a bit like that today. Like it is NEVER going to fecking happen, no matter how much sex we have. You know me, ever the optimist, so this is irritating me today feeling like that.
How long are your cycles normally? Have you got an online chart for your temps? Not that it matters, but I am nosy

Seaside - I missed your farewell yesterday, and by the time you return, this will be way down the thread? so I hope that you are feeling ok. Sorry to hear about your migraine, that is just what you don?t need!
Enjoy London, even though it is work. I love London

MrsMc - Glad you have your house back, and DH too Sorry that you got sick, do you know what it was that made you ill? Are you gearing up for some action later in the week?

NappyValley - Oh, good. I thought we had all frightened you off It is lovely to hear from someone who struggled with number 1 (were you temping for DS1? Couldn?t remember) but got there in the end. I am always an optimist, but that is starting to wane from time to time, and it is annoying. I don?t want to become a pessimist.
Your temp of 38.11!!! Blimey. Are you feeling ok now? ROFL at your analogy of the ?army? being sent in to battle in ?fields of napalm?
Hope you see a temp rise tomorrow, it can be frustrating when the signs don?t all match up as you expect. Sounds like you and DH have given it a good do Fingers crossed for you! Oh, and don?t apologise for a long post? I am prone to a ramble myself

Rah - I am giggling away here about your Dad sneaking a peek! Bless him. How are you feeling? I see from your chart you have had a few days of ?W? ? have you had any other symptoms accompanying that? Hope not. Your temps are still looking good aren?t they!
Sorry to hear that you were really down and had a good old cry at the weekend, but it is better out than bottled up! Fingers and toes and everything crossed, as always!

City I just realised I am 2 days behind you in cycle 8 ? so we are practically cycle-cycle buddies How are you feeling after the impromptu session? What will be, will be, hey

Rattling - Hope you had a lovely day off yesterday??

Duchesse - It was a long time ago that I went to Chaucers, great Lemon Chicken! I can?t remember a waxwork waiter, but I am sure it was on the high street, the entrance was underneath a sort of overhang (crap description) of the building above??

Right? anyone know where weepootleflump is??? And minxi - I miss them, and a little concerned too. Yoo-hoooooooo. Ladies. Where are you???

NappyValley · 17/04/2007 12:12

Ready: sorry you are feeling blue. These things take time sadly and it is no one's fault. Don't feel bad about it you may feel better in a few hours

I think one of the biggest problems is that we are so used to living in a world where we get what we want when we want it, so we plan our lives accordingly. We decide we are ready to have a baby and poof expect it (and I am including myself in this) to happen.

I had it all worked out that I would get pregnant again (as EVERYONE told me that 2nd time round would be a piece of cake as my body knew what to do - obviously my body was thinking of Sean Bean at the time and not paying attention) in September 06, go abck to college in Jan 07 so that baba would be tiny over summer hols and not interupt studies. Suffice to say MY plans were not those of my body and I have not gone back to college.

It is the "limbo" feeling that is the worst. Like "lets plan a holiday for October" oh wait you might be too fat etc etc etc.

Oh and in answer to question, yes did use temping for last 3 cycles in the end with DS1. you can check him out at www.freewebs.com/callumjacob (so self involved to have his own website but have lots of family abroad)! I did it as I felt if I went to the Doc and said we were having issues he would send me away with a thermometer and say check your cycle. I always thought you had about 5 dangerous days a month - my body seems to have a 2 hours window of fertility!

Finally - online charts???? where can I do that? I only have a Boots charting book.

My sympathies and big hugs to all today.
Still at work so best look busy :0)
