Howdy Ready....

Glad you had a good night and finished off in style...

I get fainter lines just before I get a strong line.. so sounds like you are near 'D' day!

RahRah1 · 15/04/2007 10:10

I really do feel terrible... I did not even drink that much... but I think it could of been a mixture of fags, sunshine, booze and garlic... OOUUCH!

Ready · 15/04/2007 10:56

Rah I SO hope it's your body telling you off because it doesn't want anymore fags and booze for 9 months Fingers crossed!!

Oh, good, I am glad someone else gets a faint line in build-up. yay. maybe these OPKs might work for me this month I certainly hope so.

Back in a bit... got to pop to B&Q for some garden supplies.

seaside72 · 15/04/2007 11:40

Hi girls - I'm back from church - LOL - when they did the prayers all I could think of were my temps buds

Ready I always get fainter lines before and after the +ive - so I take the first good faint line as a cue to test more than once a day (only if it's the cheapie ebay ones). V of BBQ food - yum

Rah how about a good fry up - I'm about to make one - its my Sunday ritual!!

Ohh girls dont get tooo excited I don't want to let you all down!! Sounds like the weather is better up with you guys - it is pants down here - mind you we have had 2 weeks of almost constant sun, but today we are shrouded in sea mist!!

RahRah1 · 15/04/2007 13:31

OMG... I just tucked into a nice sandwich and just nearly finished it when I noticed the whole crust had green mold on it... OMG... I feel worse than before! I just don't beleive it! ARRGGGGGGGGG And I had that bread at breakfast as well... I just though the cheese was quite mature! How gutted am I!

Ready · 15/04/2007 13:39

Giggle. Seaside - I said B&Q for supplies... but you are right, I have just made the burgers for our BBQ Just about the cook some savoury rice, cut up some carrots, mix a salad and get thee in the garden! We moved a tree (a young 'un) from the side of the garden to the end - that was HARD work.
As soon as I get a darker line, I will do what you did and test at midnight
DH said he hopes I get a +ve today - not sure if that is genuine concern about the OPKs working, or because he knows what the +ve means
Don't be so daft - you would never let us down, whatever happens, we are here for you every step of the way! We are allowed to get excited that a BFP might be bestowed on the group!
Hope you enjoyed your fry-up!

Rah - Bless your heart, did you wear a hat? I know I probably sound like your Nan, but last summer I was out in the sun all day, and I felt so ROUGH the next day, and I hadn't even had a drink! Sunstroke! Make sure you drink plenty of water today (cor, I am so bossy ) and rest lots.

Ready · 15/04/2007 13:43

Sorry rah I crossed posts with you. I am trying so hard not to laugh at your mouldy bread! But trust me - I have eaten mouldy bread before, and it tastes like dirt, you would not continue eating it! It would taste like you were licking the ground, so I think you may well have noticed it before eating any. Unless your sandwich tasted like dirt. It won't hurt you - a bit of penicillin

RahRah1 · 15/04/2007 15:52

It's not funny... My DH loves mature cheese and it always tastes a bit mouldy to me anyway... I thought the sandwich was a bit tangy....

I know for definite that I'm out the game this month as had same symptoms as previous months and due on in 2 days. Am gutted and feel a bit low today... I just don't understand why this is so difficult.

Did I tell you all as well that got letter from the fertility consultant and they have moved my appointment back another month

Stupid gits...I know its only another month but that will be month 33 for us trying for a baby... ARRGG

Sorry to go on... had to vent my arrrrgggg somewhere...

Ready · 15/04/2007 16:35

Oh honey. I am sorry. I was just trying to cheer you up. Mould won't hurt you, flower. But I can see that it's not a laughing matter when you are already feeling low.
Sorry to hear that your appointment has been put back. Did they give you a reason? Not that it would make a difference, but it would have been polite to do so. for you chick!
Never apologise for "going on" - 1, you aren't "going on" and 2, even if you were, that's what we are here for! To support each other through thick and thin. Big hugs.
I'm also sorry that you feel like your symptoms are very similar to last month. I won't try and say you could be wrong, because we know our bodies well enough by now don't we. But I hope that the symptoms are not relevant. My fingers are still crossed for you!

I did my OPK a little early today. Probably an error, but I had reduced my water intake and was getting thirsty. Anyway, it was even more dark than yesterday, but still not as dark as the control line. Do you think I will get a +ve tomorrow??

RahRah1 · 15/04/2007 17:08

Thanks Ready... much appreciated XX

(No reason given for the appointment change)

I normally do one later then tonight at about 8 or 9... as if I usually get a darker line quite quickly after the faint ones.. IYKWIM

Have fun with your Barbie... Any sausages spare

Ready · 15/04/2007 17:26

That is rude that they didn't explain the change of appointment. I suppose they can get away with what they like. People are probably reluctant to complain in case they push them further down the list.
We didn't have sausages. Just burgers that I made from scratch (there are some of those left if you want!!), some golden rice and salady-bits. Long glasses of coke with a ton of ice! The weather is fab!! Now that I am no longer teetotal I could have murdered a pimms!!

Our next door neighbour has 2 little boys, and they are out on their bikes today. Helmets on, one of them is little enough for stabilisers! I stood watching them for a minute, til I thought I might look odd - I want some babies

RahRah1 · 15/04/2007 18:10

Right there with your Ready... it's just horrible looking on to other peoples children... trouble is when people get them... do they really appreciate them?

Are they the home made burgers from Jamie O? I have made those a couple of times... they are yummy...

My DH has gone out with his dad and brother to watch motorbike racing and is still not bloody home... so looks like we are having pre-brought lasagna from the fridge

How long were you teetotal? nothing I have ever considered..lol Oh except when I was pregnant not a drop past my lips... it was strange but I never missed drinking at all... in fact I could not think of anything worse.

RahRah1 · 15/04/2007 18:11

OH and the house was a complete mess... so I have been scrubbing all day... my back is killing! Moan Moan Moan!!

seaside72 · 15/04/2007 18:27

Rah sorry you are feeling glum - I meant to say earlier I dont know why I am getting excited as I have watery CM too and have had it since about 4DPO - usually I get a few days of creamy/sticky and then the watery stuff kicks in about 3 days before AF. This cycle is panning out exactly like my Jan cycle so according to that AF will show up on Tuesday with no warning. It is just so hard cos you can't help but let your mind run away with what-ifs. My DH is well fed up with me and is dreading the start of AF as he kindly told me today
I just know I am going to have my high hopes dashed on Tuesday just in time to for my visit to my perfectly pg BF with her 12 week scan photos [wail] I know I will cry as I am teary at the best of times when AF starts - rubbish
Also sorry about your mouldy bread and with a hangover too. I have done that numerous times but Ready is right it won't do any harm {{{{hugs}}}}}

Alos that sucks about your appointment - I would kick up a fuss if I were you - they have prob bumped you cos some other woman has lost her temper about waiting - they just count on people being nice - well stuff em - let them find someone else to be accommodating.

Ready sorry about the freudian BBQ/B&Q slip I must have sensed that a BBQ was on the horizon!! I feel the same everytime I see someone with kids - sometimes my DH has to remind me not to stare especially into buggies and prams
I would def do another test tonight before bed. Sounds good though! Are you and DH on your starting blocks for three nights on the bounce!!

Ready · 15/04/2007 19:01

Rah - I honestly can't remember how long I was teetotal - a LONG time, more than a year. It wasn't a conscious decision. I just realised one day that I hadn't had a drink for months, and decided not to bother. Then I just carried on being the designated driver . My mum kept on saying I needed to relax about ttc, and maybe have a few drinks at the crucial time - and I kept thinking about it, so the other day, I thought what the hell and had a couple of glasses of wine! So the teetotal halo is no more
I just put mince with onions, herbs, breadcrumbs and egg in a bowl, smash it all together and then make the burgers. My mum taught me. Is it the same as Jamie O?
You are right, some people don't appreciate their children when they have them! It's awful. Breaks my heart.

Seaside - Decided not to test again tonight , as we had already decided to have tonight off, both really tired from moving the tree in the sun! Then hope it is +ve tomorrow, start the 3 on the bounce in the morning . If it got a bit darker tonight we would be stressing over whether or not to change the plans. So I hope that there is still enough LH tomorrow lunch time (got to go out in the afternoon) to show a proper +ve. Eek.
I totally understand you readying yourself for bad news on Tuesday, but I am really excited for you!! There's no harm in getting excited yourself - enjoy the dreamy feelings! Fingers crossed
Haha, yes. I have to remind myself that I am staring at other people's children and they might think I am a crazy baby thief!

duchesse · 15/04/2007 20:05

Yo all. CD2 for me. Yay! [sarcastic emoticon]

I had high hopes for this month (when will I ever learn?)

I've not a hope in hell of catching up with everything that's happened in here over the last two weeks- any chance of a potted update?

seaside72 · 15/04/2007 20:22

duchesse - welcome back! -hope you had a good time away How was France? Hate to say it but you missed some stunning weather especially down here - although it all seems to have gone pear shaped since last Thursday?
potted round-up - well are numbers have significantly dwindled - No BFP's since Feb - lots of people are taking a month off from temping etc. So generally a bit down at heel here - but hey some of us are just suckers for cruel, long, slow, tortorous, punishment.

Mum03 is not temping this month and we think Minxi is still away. londonlottie is off having a whale of time in Spain for three months.
Ready is still here uber-optimistic, lovely self gearing up for ov. Iwilbe was last seen the day after her DP lost his temper with the satnav (we hope she's OK??!! ). CityAngel is around but I think she is having a month off too due to new job. MrsMcJnr is as lovely as ever but at the beginning of her first cycle after her m/c .
Rattling is gearing up for another cycle and needs to find a good testosterone film to see with DH at the crucial time as that tactic worked well last month (any suggestions?)
Rah and I are at the bitter end of our 2ww both feeling a bit hopeful but also depressed at inevitable AF rearing ugly head (Oh and Rah ate some mouldy bread today after going on a bender yesterday - must have been the hungover state )

Howzat?
(sorry if I missed anyone off )

greedyforbabies · 15/04/2007 20:48

if only i had known you had done that lovely concise round up seaside i could have saved myself about 4 hours of reading!!!!!
i am off to look at your and rahrahs charts, it all seems to be getting a bit exciting!

Ready · 15/04/2007 20:49

Bon soir Duchesse - Hope you had a lovely trip. Sorry to hear it's CD2. Boooooooo. I would say that Seaside summed it all up pretty well. Before you went I asked if there was still a restaurant in Exeter called Chaucers!? DH and I went there a few years ago. It was really good.
Yes. I am still the pain-in-the-bum-pessimist!! Did you miss me?

Ready · 15/04/2007 20:50

Hello greedy Hope you are well?

greedyforbabies · 15/04/2007 20:58

im good thanks ready! and how are you doing? i notice you are at action time in your cycle!!!! no moving trees tomorrow, save your energy!

Ready · 15/04/2007 21:02

No more trees need moving - thankfully
We are going for every other day, and as soon as I get a +ve OPK, every day for 3 days. Tonight we are resting I am feeling stupidly optimistic that we might crack it this cycle. Fool that I am.

beansprout · 15/04/2007 21:05

Can I join this thread? Am new to the temping game, CD21 of my first month but so far, so good. Am managing to take my temp at pretty much the same time each day and have seen a clear rise since CD14.

Sorry you are on CD2 Duchesse. Boo.

Ready · 15/04/2007 21:09
