Really must stop taking time off - takes far too long to catch up.

Seaside, I may need you to provide me with a quick catch up on the weekends activities every Monday morning.

It's lovely to see the list is back up to a reasonable length, not so lovely to see Seaside back at the top .

Ready - was just skimming through the pages I missed - are you still waiting for a definate +ve on the OPK?

DH and I have an appointment with the doc tomorrow to get our results back - I tried to give them our schedule so we could be contacted by phone, but that got a bit complicated.

Where do I get an on-line chart? FF?
Am feeling distinctly pre-menstrual

Sorry this is so short, am at work (ahem).

RahRah1 · 17/04/2007 16:17

Howdy peeps... now away from the office and back at home with no father to look over my shoulder.. HEHE ... so I can write words like Sperm and Sex without grimacing.

beansprout- sorry you have PMT.. but promise it is worse for those around you! I suffer badly from PMT, so know the feelings well...
Fertility friend is where most of us chart. You can have a month VIP package for free and then go onto a basic package for free (thats what I did) or you can pay for the VIP package monthly. I know so of the other girls use something different, but I think it is quite expensive. It took me ages to work out how to use FF... so have fun!

rattling - Really hope results are ok tomorrow... what time do you think you will find out... I will await your news...Sure it will be fine.. X The first time my DH sperm results came back we wereold they were not OK and to speak to the doctor... I was so upset(bloody receptionists). The doctor would not speak to me, so my husband had to call up and was told that sperm count was ok, but mobility was reduced. It sounded so bad... but when we went to see the fertility consultant he was not overly concerned about it, as he still said there are still millions there that are viable... He also said this is quite common in men and to reduce booze and fags and have a healthier diet... anyway on his second test the fertility doctor did not make any comment other than the results were fine.... Right I will stop going on...Good luck X

NappyValley - Callum is so cute and obviously very talented... Love his fish cake!!

Ready - I have been getting some cramping, which feels like AF is on is way. Plus I took my temp about 4 times this morning and 36.6 was the highest...so could have had a possible temp dip today.. I have not been too bad on PMT this month at all... I have been taking EPRO for the last couple of months and hopefully that is making some improvements. Did you get your strong + OPK? You must be near to ovulation...

I better finish off my work for the day... so sorry if I have missed anyone... take care X

RahRah1 · 18/04/2007 08:16

beansprout · 18/04/2007 08:35

Rahrah - so sorry to hear this. It's just so miserable. My view is that CD1 is just for indulgence and partaking in whatever will make you feel better. Hope it feels better soon.

Have been awake since 3am and got up in the end, so don't have a temp to add to today's list. Am still a) cramping and b) pessimistic though.

greedyforbabies · 18/04/2007 14:07

oh rah! where are your so called temp buddies when you need them hey?! sorry to hear that you think af is around the corner. i have to say, i really thought you could of been pg this month. you have a good long lp don't you? who wants a baby that early in the year anyway? my dd was born 5th jan and it was quite a depressing time of year to have a baby. i know thats no consolation but i am trying!

rah - sorry af is approaching this thread has been cursed with bad luck just lately - infact i dont think there has been a bfp since i have joined!! i dont really know what else to say to you because i know that the next few days will be shit but you will pick yourself up like you always do and look to the month ahead - chin up hun xx

ready - glad friday the 13th didnt get any worse for you. we went camping with SIL so it was her daughter and her friend who we had hanging around us for the entire duration - i dont mind though she is such a cheeky madam and had me it fits of laughter the whole 2 days!

nappy valley - try fertilityfriend.com you get one month free there and then can continue after that on the basic package for nothing. or try TCOYF software but you have to pay for that. hope that helps a bit.

big hellos to everyone i havnt mentioned!

i am starting to get itchy feet about seeing the doctor and i am tempted to cancel the appointment, i know this month isnt the month for me and i just feel maybe i should hold out a couple more months before i burst into the doctors doing my drama queen act "ive been trying for a year to get pregnant bla bla bla"
everywhere i am looking at the moment i see bumps - but i mean a SERIOUS amount of bumps more than before! it must be bad as even dp pointed it out when we were shopping in sainsburys last night. that feeling is starting to worm its way back into my mind.....

Rah - sorry to see that temperature drop. I think everyone agrees you get to spend the next few days indulging yourself, before getting yourself together to do it all again.

Have to agree that this isn't the luckiest thread to be associated with at the moment. I'm sticking with it as that will have to change eventually and want to be part of the mass of BFP's that must be just around the corner.

iwillbe - definately go to the doctor. You'll have a few non-invasive tests and then probably have to wait months for a referral. Hopefully during that time you'll get pregnant all by yourself, if not you're on your way to getting medical help.

Where is everyone? Very quiet here today

Hey ladies, sorry I haven?t been posting much. Haven?t been feeling too good. After my sickness bout on Sunday night, I?ve felt so exhausted and down. Had GP appointment about the blood clotting results yesterday, they are still not in and GP just phoned to say they?ll be 2 more weeks Anyway, whilst I was there GP asked me how I was feeling generally, I told her and explained that I?m finding it hard to concentrate at work because I am so tired. She said she thought I had been too brave about the MC and gone back to work too soon and that she wanted to test my iron, blood count and thyroid because I looked ?off?. When she tried to take the blood, my vein shut down which she said can be indicative of you body not feeling very well. She urged me to take some time off to relax and recuperate and so I have agreed with work that I?ll be off today and tomorrow but that I?ll be available for urgent things and that I?ll finish the report I am working on but I just cannot bring myself to do it yet. It?s like a dark cloud hanging over me.

I do feel like I have taken a step back I have to say, I can?t really describe how I feel, a bit numb I guess. None of this makes the next week look promising for TTC again I?ll see what I can do though.

NappyValley ? loved your creative writing about the boys in the battle I hope you have ambushed the unsuspecting egg.

Ready - hello hon how are you getting on with the OPKs? Are you feeling better about things.

Rattling ? fingers crossed for those test results. Let us know how you get on.

Hello RahRah ? I?m so sorry that you are at the top of the list again I hope the change of job and things will make a difference for you this cycle.

Iwillbe - I hope the luck on here changes for all of us soon Have you seen the GP about your infection fears yet?

Hello to everyone I?ve missed and to our patron saint of pregnancies, Greedy!

Big hugs Rah and hope you get your second "Rah" back soon. I second Greedy's comment. A Jan baby is hard work as you are always worried if they are too cold outside and then when you go in a shop you apnic they are too hot!! It is also that "dark" time of year when you are wishing for spring, so not the best time to be dealling with post-preg hormones and sleep deprivation. Maybe it will be a valentine's babe for you. Fingers crossed that you are wrong about AF starting. xx

RahRah1 · 18/04/2007 15:58

Hi all... i know I said I would not be back on today but just thought I would update that AF started...

I feel like crap and trying to rational that a baby is not everything... but it does not feel like that. Bertie was conceived in May and was due end of Feb, so hopefully that is my prime month for conceiving.

MrsMcJnr, so sorry you are feeling so blue. Sometimes I think when you are in shock you get some delayed reaction. Although it was awful when Bertie died and I cried like mad, I managed to go out and arrange things and tried to put things into perspective. As time has gone on, I'm finding it harder to cope with in someways....I think it is the overwhelming sense of loss. I doubt that feeling under the weather is making you feel any better either and also your pressures from work. Hope the next couple of days off will be good for you. Did you arrange your holiday?

We are going to Wales next week for 10 days, but still can't agree on where to go abroad. My husband wants only a 7 day holiday and I wanted something a little more adventurous and luxurious... not visiting his mother constantly in Wales!

Better go, but hi to everyone else and thanks for your support and kind messages... I'm off to sulk in a corner again.... will be back soon X

cityangel · 18/04/2007 17:26

Hello everyone... OV today and Hospital appointment. We are referred for sperm test, 3 day test, Rubella test and Fri I have an ultrasound vaginal probe test thingy

He said to have sex every 2/3 days and to stop charting Dh is adamant we should take his advice to the letter. I don't want to upset dh so we'll see.

He also said a 9/10 day LP phase was no problem and was very dismissive of me even considering that as an issue

Still the tests should help point out obvious issues.

Ready and Iwillbe cycle buddies how goes it?

MrsMC sorry to hear you are under the weather. If you are anaemic there's a drink they sell in herbal shops and Waitrose called Floradix that's iron. Tastes a bit yuk but helps.

How is everyone else. Has anyone else had any of these tests? Can I stay on the thread even if we temporarily give up temping I don't want to lose buds too!

Rah - Oh honey, I am sorry I wasn?t around earlier when you needed someone to chat to. Big hug. I am really sorry it is CD1 for you. Darn. I was really hopeful for you, but have to hope that May is your fertile time huh!! Fingers and toes and everything crossed for you!

Beansprout - That is so right, CD1 is Indulgence Day!!

Iwillbe - Oh SIL?s daughter!! Haha, I wondered if you?d borrowed some children for the trip I think you should go to the doctors appointment. It doesn?t need to be a drama, just to get things logged on the system and to have a chat about things. It will do you the world of good. Hug.

cityangel - It goes well
Stop charting ? did he say why??? If you do give up temping, of course you have to stay on the thread!! We?d miss you if you went anywhere. Shame doc was dismissive of your luteal phase concerns, but I guess he knows what he is talking about! My GP said sex every 2/3 days, so I guess it is standard advice. Do you feel better for seeing the consultant? Big hug.

Rattling Not the luckiest thread, no! But don?t contemplate doing a runner ? Our fortunes have to change soon! It cannot continue!

MrsMc - I am feeling great at the moment. But it has been an up and down week, emotionally. I am not convinced about the OPKs but I am not going to bore anyone else about them! Like I don?t go on about myself enough on here!!
I can?t believe your results are not back ? WTF!? I completely agree with your GP though, you have been too brave! Take some time sweetheart to rest and recover. Oh, I am really worried about you now. Hug.

Oi. Greedy - or Patron Saint - Sort out a BFP soon would ya!? People are getting down, and some are contemplating leaving Hope you are well

Duchesse LOL at ?enthusiasm r us?

nappyvalley - Ssshh, don?t say Jan babies are hard work ? I want one

Sorry if I have missed anyone, dinner is cooking so I should concentrate on that really Hope everyone is ok??

NappyValley · 18/04/2007 22:06

Sorry Ready - that should be ALL babies are hard work.

Visited friend today with week old twins and had a cuddle. Oh broody broody me!

fettleandminifettle · 18/04/2007 22:30

Hello everyone - just popping on to see how you are? have to say that I check the thread every day, but thought I had to write today.

Rah, I'm so sorry that it is CD1 for you again. I so want you to get that BFP you so desperately want. You've been so brave with everything you have been through, you really amaze me. Take care of yourself - it will happen. Book a really exotic holiday somewhere you've always wanted to go, but never got around to it. that's what I'd do - retail therapy of the best kind! {{{{HUGS}}}}

MrsMc - I'm sorry to hear you not sounding so positive. I agree with your doctor though, you seem to have coped so well up until now that it is no surprise to suddenly have everything catch up with you. you sound as if you have a wonderful doctor there. Look after yourself and give yourself lots of pampering - have you got anywhere with your holiday booking? I so want to give you a hug, I remember how awful those days are when suddenly everything gets on top of you and feel how unfair life is. Enjoy your rest - don't worry about work, it will get done, you need to concentrate on yourself {{{{HUGS}}}}

Iwillbe - don't chicken out of your appointment - now you've made it, keep it. You'll feel a huge sense of relief when you speak to someone and get their input and hopefully a referral. Believe me I've done it twice!! But then luckily, didn't actually need the appointments, as after all that time of TTC, once they fertility clinic appointments came through, that's when I got my BFPs.

Hello Ready - hope all is well with you? Have you any more news on DH's movements in the summer, or are you still hanging on unknowing. Being a forces wife, I know a little of not knowing, if/when/where you might next be posted and it is a really unsettling feeling. you can have some {{{{HUGS}}}} too!!

take care everyone else, not ignoring you on purpose, but I really must go to bed! {{{HUGS}}} to all.
xxx

cityangel · 18/04/2007 23:48

Hi everyone mixed feelings from Hospital trip - posted them on th echart spotting thread

Want to reach out to Iwillbe to say don't havng about with the initial consulations/ early checks.

There are seriously long waiting lists and a good discussion with GP/ referral can help moving forwards armed with knowledge.

Personal question here, are the tests/ admission of worry the barrier to moving forwards? Or are you hopeful that its too early for intervention? Either way I am really there with you. I had my first hospital appointment today and as I mentioned it was no walk in the park. But I prefer options and open discussion to waiting perhaps I should be renamed impatient cityangel

So we are low on BFPs for the last 2 months and everyone is off busy who is next and who is fed up off to the hut of doom?

Rah so sorry the bitch is back - I keep thinking this disappointment should be getting easier but it is not. I am so fed up for you, me, all of us

Will try to catch up with everyone today.
Meanwhile I am very confused about my cycle - I haven't temped for a few days - just feeling a bit despondent about it But I am having a very weird AF - after my proclamations on Monday of CD1 it all stopped again - (TMI alert!!) so in the morning I got small blood trickle so assumed here we go CD1 - used tampax but by lunchtime - it was only a bit of brown CM so no more tampax and there was nothing at all not a spot until Tuesday afternoon then quite a gush of a red/brown flood then rest of that day and night seemed like proper AF cramping etc so with hindsight and as I usually get spotting preAF I shifted CD1 to Tuesday?? Then yesterday it was lighter not what I would usually get on CD2 - usually a bit heavier and then last night and this morning it seems to have stopped again?? Erratic light AF worries me

Seaside - I had a bizarre spotting only AF at the same time as mum03 a few months back. Was pretty sure it was AF as temps had dropped (not sure enough to not test though )

Had to deliver another sperm sample to the hospital this morning. Saw doctor yesterday and DH's last sample was a bit mediocre - loads of sperm, but only 35% with good motility (want 50%) and 8% good morphology (above 15% should be no problem, under 4% considered infertile). He was a bit upset by the news - will be interesting to see how that affects his attitude to taking the vitamins I supply and his drink and occasional recreational drug use.
