Rah Rah- I hope you don't mind me posting here as I'm not charting, but I knew I would be pregnant as soon as we had done the deed (I think it was day 14 or 15). I didn't physically feel any different,I just sort of knew, somehow I felt sort of serene and peaceful inside. I then began to feel physically tired and heavy eyed around day 21, and that clinched it, and tested on day 31. It doesn't have a happy ending though as I went on to lose my baby. Oh, and I have IBS too, and immediately became very constipated ! Anyway, wishing you lots of luck!

RahRah1 · 13/04/2007 16:17

Hi kensgirl... thanks for the post... I also lost my baby (at 24 weeks) but did not have a clue that I was pregnant until nearly 6 weeks. I was under a fertility consultant at the time and just had a procedure and thought that had buggered up my AF. I then started to feel abit sick... but like you said peaceful..It was all very strange. Hopefully I might get the symptoms earlier next time. It must be amazing to know after you had just done 'it' that you were pregnant. Thanks again X

RahRah1 · 13/04/2007 16:20

On the IBS... I had it so bad during my pregnancy... but I think I made it worse as I was worried about going to the loo due to the bleeding. Sometimes when I was in the hospital the doctor would have to give me a 'rocket pill'.. (up the bum) to make me go How embarrassing is that!

MrsMcJnr · 13/04/2007 16:33

Wow Kensgirl, that?s amazing!

NappyValley · 13/04/2007 17:07

Hi Temp buds, I was wondering if I could join you as we are TTC our second baby (first one took 11 months) which is normal I know but it doesn't help when everyone else seems to get pregnant at the drop of a hat or should that be trousers!

I have been charting since we started, as I had done that in the last 3 months before DS was conceived.

I do not quite understand all your codes though and what you do, but it is nice to know there are others out there who role over in the morning and reach for the thermometer under the pillow.

We are also on the ov sticks and I am nervous as I think we are about to hit the green zone so to speak and we are supposed to be at my mums sat night!

Also I feel ill today, so think chances of the little eggy playing ball are slim. We have been trying since August, which is only 7 cycles I guess (and we sat March out) as mine vary from 38 to 30 days. The first 38er was the hardest as I really thought we had cracked it, but I did not feel pregnant.

For those of you trying for number 1 I know how stressful it is wondering about whether the "plumbing" works. I wish I could say it is easier second time round, but having had a C-section (after 90hours of contractions) I am left wondering if they cut something they shouldn't have!!

Sorry to be a misery and whinger must be the hormones.

kensgirl · 13/04/2007 17:25

Oh Rah Rah, that must have been so devastating for you to lose your precous baby so late - I really feel for you . Wishing you double amounts of luck now.

On the IBS front, mine was much worse too, and like you I think I made it much worse..I was bleeding on and off for 2 weeks before they finally discovered no heartbeat, and I was frightened of making it worse every time to the loo, so I just held on...

NappyValley - Welcome... Nice to meet you.. I'm Rah and a bit of a drama queen around AF time...Sure you will figure that one out yourself!
It's such a bugger when you are at the 'prime' time and you have something on! You will have to get naughty at your mum's

seaside72 · 13/04/2007 21:10

Ohh a new recruit - yay - welcome NappyValley
Its quiet tonight where is everyone? Ready hope Friday the 13th didn't have any more nasty surprises

Finally got results of DH's sperm test and all seems fine/within the normal levels- phew . Motility and morphology were at the low end of normal but GP said not a prob and wil have to do more tests anyway. He is finally referring us to the local Fertility specialist - will have to go private but at leats we are moving in the right direction.

After more pic talk on the TTC#1 thread I have posted a couple of pics for a very limited time only.
Rah, Rattling, Iwillbe and CityAngel - you haven't even done your profiles - its not fair!! [whiney emoticon]!! Now I am being nosey but it kills time in what seems like an endless 2ww

Morning all!
I am well freaked out - I said on dpo3 I was setting myself up for a huge fall this month and I still am - am stupidly excited but trying to be rational. Temp has gone ridiculously high - I took it 3 times - first was 37.09, then 37.19 then 37.22 - usually when that happens I keep going until it goes down but I got scared and stopped at 37.22 - thats a stupid temp!!?? I am sure it is actually because I am sick/have a cold - I still have the sore throat and bunged up nose that started just after OV and it must be to do with that. I am soo nervous and know it will all be for nought cos AF will rear her head but TBH it is nice to be a bit excited and it doesn't seem to make the depression when AF arrives any better when I have not been hopeful IYKWIM?- it sucks either way

I have slightly sore (.)(.) this morn - usually these start a week before AF but then 2 months ago - I had a similar pattern - no soreness and no symptoms at all and then AF started straight away with full flow - again v unusual for me - so maybe I am having a similar cycle as Jan 30 one??

I must stop overanalysing I must stop overanalysing I must stop overanalysing I must stop overanalysing I must stop overanalysing I must stop overanalysing Arghh.
Thank goodness for the Grand National - hopefully that will take my mind of it!!

Rah - aww thanks but like I said wedding photos are so not a true representation - I mean I had my make-up and hair done (v rare for me!!) and the photographer re-touched them all - its the celeb treatment!

Ready Hope you are still in bed working on the "plan"

MrsMc not sure when your relies are leaving (keep foirgetting to say - how fantastic it is that you have your lovely grandparents and what a wonderful grandaughter you are - Mine were brill and I miss them loads) And I think you said DH is away too? Hope you get some nice me-time - long bath and some glossy magazines - thats what I do when I am alone

Rattling Have you found a good film for the month yet! What about "Curse of the Golden Flower" Looks a bit like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon ?

Iwillbe - hope you are doing OK and windscreen is fixed?

CityAngel - hope you figured out the mat benefits of new job and that you haven't disappered to St Lucia yet

NappyValley What CD are you on? feel free to add yourself into the list - we usually put in our temp then what CD (cycle day we are on) then how many DPO (days post ovulation) if any we are, then how long our normal LP (Luteal Phase - days from OV to AF) is and finally how many cycles we have been TTC. I know we all seem to talk in code but dont worry just ask if there is anything that sounds wierd!!! It took me ages to get up to speed and all the girls were so helpful & still are
LOL about reaching for the therm - my DH hates it - he says the beeping noises make him stressed - I just say - they help me be less stressed!!! (well maybe not today - but usually they do )

Phew - sorry for the mammoth essay! - Kensgirl - are you joining us too?

RahRah1 · 14/04/2007 10:35

Seaside I know what you mean... I was dreading taking my temp this morning in case it had dropped... I know rationally it is not going to happen this month... but every slight bit of indigestion and stomach movement I'm think am I??? I even imagined a metallic taste in my mouth last night and was convinced.. This truly is like torture. X

seaside72 · 14/04/2007 10:40

slow and painful too!! - Arghhhhh

Ready · 14/04/2007 13:58

Right? I am here. And I bet everyone else is busy or enjoying the sunshine!

Seaside - OMG!!!! I said yesterday that your chart was looking good, more steady than previous months, but now!! It?s gone up a notch and I am so excited for you! How do you feel?? I SO hope that you get your BFP, it would be totally wonderful! Toes and fingers and everything crossed!! xx

Rah - Metal taste?? A good sign!! Oh 2 BFPs, now that would be something really special! Your chart is looking good too! How do you feel? Other than the indigestion? I feel for you, with the torture of waiting, I do ? but it?s much nicer to have a little bit of hope isn?t it?? Fingers and toes and everything crossed!! xx

NappyValley - Sorry for the quick message last night, welcome to the thread! Even though I say it myself, we are a lovely bunch of girls here! Top notch!
11 months you say it took for your DS? At what stage did you start to worry it was never going to happen?? Or did you know it would happen!? This is my 8th cycle ttc number 1, and I will be honest, some days I worry that it might never happen. Reading your story really does help, so I am so pleased you are joining us here!
90 hours of contraction ? wow!
I look forward to hearing all your answers to Seaside?s questions too ? and it?s normally me that is the nosy one
Oh, and as for being at your mum?s I say, go for it! It?s like being a teenager again

Kensgirl - I love the thought of just knowing, being all serene and peaceful. Bliss

MrsMcJnr - How are you doing? I hope you are relaxing this weekend, and doing the minimum you can get away with!! Hope the weather is as lovely there as it is here

Hope everyone else is just grand!

Jesus I'm up early.... I have been laying in bed wondering how Seaside is getting on... Really hope that temp stays high and AF stays away!!!!!

I have a banging hangover... went to a garden party in the day time and then went to the cinema and had a meal with DH... The garlic is really repeating on me.....I'm feeling rather sick! But can't put that down to anything other than over indulgence in the drinking, smoking and eating department...(considering I have not smoked a cigarette for over a year then I had a few head spins from them too)... But had fun...Most important thing and there was not one person that was there that wanted a baby! YIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE

well not as good a temp as yesterday but thats prob because I woke up at 6.30am with butterflies and stupidly excited resisted temping then - not sure if I should have or not - anyway - dozed until 7.30 and temped a few times all around 37.08/.09/.10 prob should go with .09 as in the middle but I'll keep the highest just cos it makes me feel a bit better even though I am def less hopeful than yesterday. FF says to test tomorrow but I have had a 13 day LP before once and my cycles are usually 26 days long? 90% sure I will not need a test cos AF will arrive instead on Monday pm or Tuesday - arghh - I feel sick - but from nerves- wish it was another reason!! Abolutely no other symptoms - nada - slightly itchy (.)(.) ??? never had that before

Rah you rebel you well done for going out on a bender!!! I feel like I want to do that too and what a joy to be with people who don't talk baby. I have some 'young" !!mates and think I will rally them for a night out next week when AF has arrived!
Your temp is still really good I am going to try some excitment transferral. It could be you (imagine big lottery finger dropping down from above )
Now how come I am at the bottom of the list?!!! I liked hiding behind you - it scares me being on the bottom - Usually my silly short cycles stop me from ever being there!!

Ready love the degree sign - but where is it on the keyboard - I am scared I will delete it by mistake!!

RahRah1 · 15/04/2007 09:07

Oh Seaside that is a wicked temp... you are HOT girlfriend!

You are being so good not testing... I would be testing by now!

But it is all looking good. My CM has gone very watery... so looks like its a no for my BFP this month.. I always get this a few days before AF.. In my book it says its the egg dissolving and is a sign you are not pregnant.

RahRah1 · 15/04/2007 09:08

Oh yer... I popped you at the bottom.. LOL

Ready · 15/04/2007 09:59

Ok. I am never on the computer this early!!!! But ever since I took my temp all I can think about is Seaside.

Another great temp, and itchy (o)(o) - I always go with the highest temp myself, purely because if you were not that hot, the thermometer wouldn't find that temp - IYSWIM? You maybe could have taken your temp when you first woke, and adjusted it up anyway - but I don't think it matters too much! Your chart looks superb! I would say wait til Tuesday to test - but that's just me. And I certainly wouldn't say a word if you wanted to test tomorrow. Fingers and toes and everything crossed!

Morning Rah - got a leetle hangover have we? - I'm so pleased you had a lovely time and really let your hair down! That is just what the doctor ordered! Sorry to hear about the watery CM - but it ain't over yet, flower! The icky feeling is a positive one, MrsMc will tell you, she felt ill after wine when she was pg - the body has a way of telling you what not to have sometimes! So you never know! Fingers crossed!

Well, I went to see Rich Hall last night, and laughed SOOOOOO much. He was brilliant. Had a lovely night, and finished the night off in style too - we are still on schedule

Oh and before I forget

Oh, and just quickly before I go get some breakfast - see what my priorities are

Yesterday I got a VERY faint line on the OPK, I have marked it as a -ve as it was only just there... but the 2 days before no line appeared at all below the control, so am I to assume that a +ve is not too far away????
