Jumping on the crazy train for the first time... ALL ABOARD FOR THE 2WW!

Firstly I must apologise to all you mumsnetters... I've been a lurker for a while and have never understood the craziness surrounding the 2WW until today! Have literally just ovulated yesterday on our first round of TTC and I've already been symptom spotting/furiously checking and rechecking my calendar and Ovia app like a pro!

Logically I know that there is literally no chance of any symptoms yet and DEFINITELY no need to POAS for the next 10 days at least, but there's another (much louder it seems) part of me that keeps thinking that the reason I'm so bloated/gassy (seriously what is up with that?!) or keep dropping my keys/knocking everything over or these cramps are obviously due to the fact I must be pregnant 🤦🏻‍♀️.

So to stop me going completely around the bend, I thought I'd ask if anyone is due to POAS around the 21st of July? If so, do you want to wait with me? All those who have done this before, feel free to leave me tips on how not to think about this 24/7!

@WaitingTillJuly17 no, I did it 4 days early so I'm not due till Monday. Nurse @ gp gave me another test to take on Tuesday if late but I'm trying to accept that it's negative so i don't obsess 😂

Sometimes it wont show until your late or could have been late ovulation/implantation no try not to obsess to much i know very hard not too enjoy the rest of the weekend n take your mind of it

Im in two minds atm either test after 1 day late or wait until 7 days late? As last 2 months ive been 4 & 5 days late. Im really trying not to symptom spot but its so hard!! Ive had a little bit of spotting which ive never had before but trying not to read into it!!

Hi , no it's not my first try,

We got pregnant first time trying in January and lost him at the 20 week point, was awful, I'm still not over it,

I then got a positive last month did a test after being a week late, then 2 dahs later came one, the dr said it was a very early miscarriage I think it sounds like a chemical to be fair,

So as we were both gutted , we realised we need to try again, so here I am, my husband has actually gone away with work now till the 18th, af is due the 12, but I prob won't wait for him to the test lol xx

Sorry for the radio silence. No AF, Multiple BFNs, just on my way to doctors for a blood test. Will let you know how I get on xx

I have recalculated and my AF due friday..... so i may get to test sooner than i thought!!! Ill leave it till next wed i think

BFN for me & no sign of AF ill test friday if no sign as that will be a week late

Well I got a negative blood test from doctor and then AF turned up a few days later. I was 2 weeks late! When AF arrived I was relieved as by that time I just wanted to start new cycle. Better luck next time! Amy news @LMX0?

Hellbells well at least you know now!! And you can start again!! I got a BFN yesterday but still no AF so im waiting until Friday ive had sore back & cramps all month but i deffo think your mind plays on ya

Hello, thought I'd pop on
I'm due my period on 19th August. My period was 2 weeks late last month- I think due to stress as got married! So am unsure how accurate ovulation stuff will be.
Stats:
Cycle 1 TTC #1
Age 35
Ovulation prediction date was 3rd August.
I'm unsure at the moment whether to wait until 19th to test or do a bit earlier :-)

Hi Lady. It seems we are on the same timeline!

Back on the 2ww for the second time on this thread. I am now 5dpo and this was my first month using clear blue ovulation test strips. I got a smiley face on the third day of testing (cd13) which is 2 days earlier than my app predicted. I really like the clarity of the test and I'm hoping it has made the difference for me this month 😬🤞🏻

I have been using the period diary app and find that the easiest to use prob as I'm getting used to all the lingo. I had been keeping a log of my period dates on the app but recently switched to a new phone and it lost all my data
