Jumping on the crazy train for the first time... ALL ABOARD FOR THE 2WW!

Firstly I must apologise to all you mumsnetters... I've been a lurker for a while and have never understood the craziness surrounding the 2WW until today! Have literally just ovulated yesterday on our first round of TTC and I've already been symptom spotting/furiously checking and rechecking my calendar and Ovia app like a pro!

Logically I know that there is literally no chance of any symptoms yet and DEFINITELY no need to POAS for the next 10 days at least, but there's another (much louder it seems) part of me that keeps thinking that the reason I'm so bloated/gassy (seriously what is up with that?!) or keep dropping my keys/knocking everything over or these cramps are obviously due to the fact I must be pregnant 🤦🏻‍♀️.

So to stop me going completely around the bend, I thought I'd ask if anyone is due to POAS around the 21st of July? If so, do you want to wait with me? All those who have done this before, feel free to leave me tips on how not to think about this 24/7!

I got my positive opk on CD15 but Ovia had it scheduled for around 3 days later which makes all the difference! I really liked the Clearblue, I started testing once daily from around CD8 and once I'd had flashing smiley faces for a few days I got a bit of a feeling so I did an afternoon test and it was static so I would recommend doing that as you have more time if you see what I mean? I probably still would have got a peak the next morning but I would have missed out on the night before! I'm pretty sure I ovulated pretty quickly after my peak too as I got my BFP quite early. I really hope it works out!

Im ok LMX0 but have still been quite nauseous and have been retching a LOT 🤢 Also still have my lower back pain but trying not to worry about it.

Waiting hopefully your sickness doesn't last too long but its all worth it in the end? Have you been to see the doc yet?

Well I'm around 5dpo today, so going to hold out as long as I can! So far I haven't tested haha!

Although not looking forward to the potential sickness when I do finally fall pregnant!

It will all be worth it and besides you may be lucky and not have much or any sickness

All good thanks waiting, just gearing up for the next fertile period and the 2ww that follows! I think after having taken the relaxed approach for a while I'm ready for the ovulation strips. I want some reassurance from that static smiley face!

Floopy the opk certainly did reassure me, even though it's not necessary I am the sort of person who likes to see some evidence! 😂 Yes it was extremely lucky to fall first try however I'm pretty sure it contributed to a mild panic attack a day or two after my bfp! Finally feeling more settled even if I do feel nauseous throughout the day and can't currently seem to sleep for more than 6 hours at night but am absolutely exhausted throughout the day 😡😴 oh well, I better get used to it! I'm looking forward to when you start complaining of symptoms after your bfp 🤞🏻

Im probably between 4-6dpo, I say that because I go by CM plus my phone app says I ovulated on 19th...but I have definitely already ovulated!
The last few days I have had a metallic taste In my mouth on and off, and feel my sense of smell has got a smidge better, I can smell my 2 candles better! (They aren't lit) one is a mango one downstairs and I can smell it from my bedroom! I did smell something horrible this morning but I don't know....
I been bloated and gassy, slight cramping, sensitive nipples (but not sore), a slight headache. Oh and lower back ache/pain which I mainly ever get when I have af.
I also noticed my cervical position is high, hard for me to reach it actually!! 😂And soft/medium to touch. CM is a lot less, it's between creamy and sticky, only there when I feel inside and wipe, nothing in undies! Sorry if tmi! 😂

I am trying to not symptom spot and Iv resisted a pregnancy and will until at least 9dpo!

Charchar - sounds promising altho i dont know much about CM or CP you dont have long left to test? Fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi CharChar you can't always rely on the apps especially if you're not temping or using opks, they also need to be used for a good few months to establish your individual pattern otherwise they just estimate for you. It's entirely possible that you ovulated before the app told you and sometimes you just know in your gut what's going on with your cycle in terms of ovulation. Don't be too disappointed if a 9dpo pregnancy test is negative remember it takes a while for the hormones to build up so you might not get a bfp until a day or two after your period is due.

Well I know roughly I did as I get a surge of EWCM so I know it was roughly from 18th-22nd as the EWCM has gone and dried up!
I'm just going to wait it out I think lol

So just an update. AF was due Saturday. Still a no show. Did 3 pregnancy tests and nothing. No period, no positives. Just itchy nipples! The last couple of days I've had hardly any symptoms since I stopped reading into everything. Where is my period? Can you just skip one?! I'm confused :(

Perhaps wait for a few more days and test again! Try different brand of test too :)
It could be that you ovulated late and hense why af seems late x

@Hellsbells35 oh dear 🙁 sorry about the neg tests. I was 4 days late last month I think because I stressed myself out so much so it could be that? I'd leave it another few days and if no period test again x

@Hellsbells35 I've not posted much on here but read most days and reading other people going through the same is nice and reassuring 🙂 always got fingers crossed for everyone.
On that note: TMI but are anyone else's boobs ballooning? I swear I must have gone up a couple of cup sizes in the last couple of days! They're so sore I couldn't put on a proper bra this morning I had to just wear a sports bra (comfiest decision I've ever made and it might be a permanent change tbh).

Hellsbells i hope AF is a no show and your next test is a positive one!! But try not to stress as that could be prolonging AF if she is putting in an appearance

Boo my boobs seemed to explode overnight, I just looked in the mirror and couldn't believe my eyes! That's a good sign, let us know how your test goes!

I'm really impatient for Friday. I have an appointment to see nurse for bloods and I'm thinking asking her for a preg test while I'm there 🙈 not sure if they're more or less sensitive than a first response though!!

It's meant to help to increase cervical mucus amongst other things. Someone on this thread recommended it. You are meant to take it up until you ovulate each month and then stop.

Trying this because last month we tried a fertility gel which I think gave me a uti.

I was due on today but no sign, so I bought some first response after work. If still no sign tomorrow morning I might do a test. I'm a bit conflicted cause I really don't think that I am pregnant this month but I just think it's rude that AF couldn't frigging show up on time and put the doubt out of my mind!
