Hi gudgy

My DS will be 2 in a few weeks. He goes between being lots of fun and a pain in the neck. Still love him though.

I had pineapples and brazil nuts today. Forgotten that I'm not that keen on pineapples - am guessing drinking pineapple juice doesn't count?

MotherofBoy · 16/08/2017 08:15

Turns out I had a chemical last month. You remember I did a test day period due and was squinting and posting here to see if a line but then af came late. Well today I go to chuck the test away (had just shoved in a drawer) and there is a clear as day pink line no squinting needed. Hadn't looked at it since I did it 10 days ago but I suppose hcg was so low hard to see line and now only clear cos it has dried out. Even dh can see it, it is a v clear pink line. Feel quite irrationally sad about it even tho I didn't know at the time and wouldn't have known had I binned the test.

mito79 · 16/08/2017 10:29

....sorry motherofboy....I cannot even imagine how hard it is to know that actually a pregnancy could have happened 💐💐💐..
Next month new cycle new hopes !!🤞🤞🤞

LopeyLopez · 16/08/2017 13:43

Oh that is sad mother. I would feel exactly the same as you....so sorry.

I didn't test today at 11 dpo as i decided I just couldn't take the stark white empty space if it was bfn. Like someone somewhere on here said, i would rather wait for af....that arriving although sad seems less bad than a nasty bfn.

Anyway no need as I started spotting today... a sure sign af is on it's way. Pretty crap to start spotting so early too... my rubbish luteal phase. Feeling miserable and fed up at another month gone by with nothing 😞

LopeyLopez · 16/08/2017 13:44

Sorry for moaning on... Welcome gudgy!

Gudgyx · 16/08/2017 13:51

Thanks ladies! Yes 2 is a very challenging age. We are in the process of potty training, which is interesting. She is the biggest pain in the bum in the world, but she's my little ginger ninja.

Sorry mother, I would feel the same

SydBound27 · 16/08/2017 15:28

Hi @gudgy we just came out the other side of potty training - still haven't seen a poo in a potty yet.. total nightmare! I also have a ginger ninja. They're the best!

SydBound27 · 16/08/2017 15:30

@Lopey sorry to hear it. I've got spotting today too so think I might be out of the running. It's not as heavy as usual but might be clinging on to false hope. Ehhh so heartbreaking huh

Karpuzkiz · 16/08/2017 17:14

I have 4 apps. All predict a different fertile window! I use Ovia, Glow, Flo and Clue! Waiting for impending ovulation to see which one gets it right! Ovia and Glow are my favourites as let's you log ovulation! Anyone use any others I can add to my collection Grin

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 16/08/2017 17:55

So sorry mother that must be so upsetting.

Sorry to hear about spotting lopey and syd - will keep everything crossed for you both.

karpukiz I used MeLady Calendar, as it was free. Seems to be good at calculating ovulation - was bang on for this cycle.

Karpuzkiz · 16/08/2017 18:38

Big hugs mother FlowersCakeWine xx

MotherofBoy · 16/08/2017 18:46

Sad thanks ladies. Never thought I would be that bothered if it was a chemical as it's so early, but yet here I am not even knowing about it til over a week afterwards and I do feel quite upset! Dh says in some ways it's good to know I still can conceive but not v comforting really.

Haven't caught up on thread so apologies for not replying to any of you! I do read through when I grab five mins but with long commute and having to do most dinner and bedtimes for terrible two year old alone it is quite challenging at times to get a few minutes to myself!

Big love to you all glad we have this group ❤️

Just catching up after a few days away. Sorry to hear you had a chemical mother, big hugs to you.

Sorry about the spotting lopey and syd, I'm keeping everything crossed that it's not over for you yet this month.

Good luck everyone coming up to testing x x

Gudgyx · 16/08/2017 22:13

Hi Syd!

Yeah the poo is what she is struggling with too! She only decided on Sunday she wanted to use the pan and wear big girl pants, been dry ever since except she asks for a nappy on to poo (or does it on the floor like last night!)

So I've been reading up on my health condition and pregnancy. I have Crohn's disease, it went into complete remission when I had ginga ninja, but flared badly when she was 8 weeks old and I ended up with an ileostomy bag. Anyone know anyone who has been pregnant with a bag? And how it was? Just read a blog where a lady had a section at 35 weeks due to recurring blockages!

OH getting excited about the possibility of ginga ninja #2. Fingers crossed!

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 16/08/2017 23:10

Hi gudgy I also have Crohn's disease. I went into remission when I was pregnant with DS and stayed that way until he was about 5 months old. I don't have a bag, but I'm sure it could be managed. Do you have a Crohn's nurse? Mine is brilliant for stuff like that - I prefer seeing her to ky consultant

Gudgyx · 17/08/2017 09:13

Hi Tira!

I'm not concerned about it, just wondering what other peoples' experiences were. Yeah I have a crohns nurse but I don't really trust her. When my bowel blocked at 8 weeks pp, she told me to take senna. 5 days later I was lying in critical care half dead. I prefer my colorectal surgeon to any of them, guy is an absolute genius! Quite easy on the eye too, in an old fashioned movie star kind of way :D

I don't understand all the acronyms you guys are using yet, and I don't want to get my self too caught up in trying just now so I won't bother learning just yet. If I don't have any luck in the first few months of trying I'll track things more seriously, right now I'm using Flo to track when we have DTD and when my period is due!

ladydolly · 17/08/2017 10:23

I use Ovuview, I used it with DC1 as well and worked brilliantly although the fertile window does seem very long...

Potty trainers, I also have a 2 yr old, poop was also a problem for us until we got a great tip. Line a potty with a nappy until they get used to it - we only had to do it twice (once at home and once at the childminders) and she was then fine with it without.

mother I think it's harder finding out afterwards, you didn't get to enjoy that day or 2 of hope. I had one before DC1 and again the month before last and it was way more crushing this time but like your DH, I try to remind myself that at least it means everything is working. Give yourself some time.

LopeyLopez · 17/08/2017 12:25

In terms of apps I use fertility friend: it's free and you can track pretty much anything you like. There is a space for notes and I think you can customise but I haven't done that. There's two views: calendar and chart, showing the graph with cover line if you temp.... it's been pretty good with predicting my fw. It uses averages calculated from all your cycles, so the more you track the more accurate it gets. I think I have 18 cycles logged in all.... both before and after ds1!

LopeyLopez · 17/08/2017 12:29

@Syd: how's it going? How is the spotting? I've had no more yet today.,,,

When is your af due? Don't give up til full flow, lol!

SydBound27 · 17/08/2017 13:29

Hey @Lopey, spotting started as pink on tue night, turned brown yesterday and non existent today. I think af is due on Saturday as I'm 12dpo. I did a frer today with a bfn so not holding out much hope (got my bfp at 12 dpo last time). I like your optimism though, I think I need it!! How are you feeling today? Fingers sooooo crossed

Karpuzkiz · 17/08/2017 16:22

I'm struggling today ladies, I just want to be pregnant!

Still on the flashy smiley faces, kind of hoping i ovulate early and I get the static tomorrow as we've DTD a lot this week. If not tomorrow then Wednesday would be great -so I can get a chance to DTD on Mon and Tues when back from weekend away! Some of my apps are predicting it for then so who knows! I just feel like it would be a lot of smiley faces!

Urgh, urgh and URRRRRRGHHH!!!!

mito79 · 17/08/2017 16:46

SydboundI think you might be pregnant that is a defo spotting you had!!! May turn positive in two days!! Just right time before the big move...!?

mito79 · 17/08/2017 17:14

Hello karpurkuz how many flashing smiley did you get? First month I had 7 , the second months 4 and this month no flashing strait to solid face..
hope you get it tomorrow!!

mito79 · 17/08/2017 17:16

Lopylopez very encouraging if no spotting any more!!! Sounds very very positive !!

LopeyLopez · 17/08/2017 17:51

Hmmm, thanks folks but I'm not holding out much hope tbh. This always happens to me before af and I get all excited thinking it's ib but it never is! Tiny amount of pink/light brown for two days usually.

Syd, that's good yours has gone now - a good sign. Thought mine was gone but had a smidge more this afternoon....aarghhh!

Funny thing is I had spotting for less than one day at 8 dpo this cycle which was unusual for me - never had before - and it literally came and went within a hour! So I thought this could be a good sign for me. However it was bright red!! So a bit worrying and strange. Wondered if something was wrong with me, though no pain...

Now two different types and bouts of spotting at 8 dpo and now 11-12 dpo is just confusing....Confused Bodies are so odd!
