Sorry about af cautious. Ttc is so emotional. Wishing you all the baby dust going forward xx

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 14/08/2017 09:29

Sorry about af arriving june and cautious - it's so disheartening.

I have finally started to see a second line on my opk! Was starting to worry it wasn't going to happen. It's still quite faint, but am hopeful about the next few days

Karpuzkiz · 14/08/2017 10:11

Hello everyone, hope you are all good and had a good weekend.

Sorry to hear about AF cautious it really is an emotional rollercoaster.

I used the Clearblue OPK for the first time yesterday which was quite exciting (something different to obsess over!) and today I already have a flashing smiley! Is that even normal?! The reader has only had one days results to go off before! I'm only on CD7 today, so feel like this is really early to be beginning the fertile week?! It might work to my favour as I'm away on weekend, if I ovulate Friday, I might have a chance of catching it before. I don't know what to think!

Have we got anyone due to test soon?!

Nubian9454 · 14/08/2017 10:40

Hey everyone. I'm now in the tww wait. I was so sick during my fw. We bd maybe 3 times. I really hope that is enough. Anyone else in tww yet? I'm off on holI day for 6 days from Wednesday so a welcome distraction to the waiting game.

Lots of BD for you ladies with positive opks. Baby dust x

ladydolly · 14/08/2017 14:08

Kapuzkiz I had the same, but then had 5 days of flashing smileys then got my static. Could be the same for you!

Nubian DP was away for half of mine so we only dtd 3 times as well. I'm on DPO 4 so in the tww as well.

Nubian9454 · 14/08/2017 15:30

Fingers crossed Ladydoll. Glad I'm not alone

LopeyLopez · 14/08/2017 15:57

I'm 9 dpo today so due to test in two days (never test before 11 dpo....I know, I am made of steel!).

Only bd once in the fw ☹️ But it does only take one.... can't help myself from feeling optimistic even though I know it's silly and not much chance....trying not to set myself up for a fall but I just can't help it...

At least I am somehow still positive after 6 months of this...!

Good luck to all, especially those in tww going crazy like me!! X

SydBound27 · 14/08/2017 16:00

@lopez I'm also 9dpo today and did a test which was suuuuch a bad idea. I'm convinced I can see a line but it's probably in my head, and now I'm really confused!

You have some serious will power. It doesn't help that I'm working from home so not as many distractions. In the office tomorrow so hopefully that will help! ARGH

Karpuzkiz · 14/08/2017 16:53

Good luck for testing syd and lopey and hope the waits not too bad lady and nubian hope you have a lovely holiday too!

Do you reckon you have more chance DTD before ovulation and hoping they hang around or actually catching that egg once you've ovulated?!

Nubian9454 · 14/08/2017 18:38

Thanks Karpuzkiz . I always hope the sperm is hanging around to meet the egg so dtd before ovulation. I don't always tell SO when I'm in my fw so as not to put too much strain.

Lopez I always start testing from 9dpo. Just can't help myself. I'm glad you are positive. Give me the will to face the tww!

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 14/08/2017 18:49

Still no AF. Had a very clear BFN the other day. I just want AF to show up so I can stop wearing pantyliners all the time and have sex again Grin

Nubian9454 · 14/08/2017 19:04

How many dpo are you Ovaries? Sounds promising if Af not arrived yetSmile

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 14/08/2017 19:09

Feels like I'm 50dpo Grin

Nah I'd have had a positive by now, I'm about a week late for AF at least.

LopeyLopez · 14/08/2017 20:23

Syd, best of luck: we are testing buddies! SmileHope it was a line you saw and that it just gets darker!Grin

Thanks for the wishes all; Nubian, you will make it through the tww! Just keep thinking, this could be the one to keep you going...!

Karpuzkiz, I always try to dtd two and one days before o day at least (though didn't manage this time); I read before o is better so the sperm are there and waiting ready to greet the egg when it emerges! The sperm have to go through a process (someone remind me what it's called....capacitation...?) before they are even capable of fertilising the egg, and it can take several hours, so dtd before o ensures they have already gone through this before they see the egg.

Although I do wonder, if DH has a low sperm count (don't know this but have sometimes wondered...), then are there none left by the time my egg comes out...? In this case maybe better to do the deed on o day...? I don't know. I am just an amateur in all this and obviously not very good as it's taking me months and months to conceive...

SydBound27 · 14/08/2017 21:05

@Lopey, thanks I hope so too but trying not to get my hopes up. So drinking wine tonight Smile

On the sperm count thing, I think there are so many millions of those little swimmers that even if it is low there's got to be some left there when the egg drops! And you don't even know if its the case (ttc can take months and months for perfectly 'normal' people). Worry not!

Have a nice evening ladies!

LopeyLopez · 14/08/2017 22:42

Lol, good for you Syd: drinking wine tonight!

I also had a drink as was a very long day, no early get up tomorrow, and this whole thing is stressing me out! We should carry on as normal so far as possible, I feel, to make us relaxed.

I will feel really silly having said this when I get bfn in a few days, but I still do feel confident this month - have had a few unusual signs that have been different from other months that make me feel a bit hopeful....will detail these as "symptoms" (lol!) if they amount to anything in a couple of days....if not I will hang my head in shame as usual and mask my annoyance at those you read about constantly who just "knew" they were pregnant! I feel this every month, and I never am, so how does that work then...?!!! Confused

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 15/08/2017 07:05

Good luck lopey and anyone else still waiting to test.

Am feeling quietly optimistic after managing to dtd within a few hours of getting a positive opk. Also managed it the night before, so keeping everything crossed and frantically googling what I can do to aid implantation. So far, I have eating pineapples ...

Nubian9454 · 15/08/2017 08:19

Hey ladies. I feel really positive vibes on here which makes me feel hopeful. Thank you for giving me that.

Tiramisu I'm eating pineapple and I hear avocado is also good in aiding implantation. The things we do hey!

Karpuzkiz · 15/08/2017 08:58

I too think its best to catch it before ovulation - so here's hoping for us all! I haven't told hubby were in fertile week either! I'm off to read up about capacitation then lopey! Sounds promising for you with the symptoms too!

Boo hoo to AF not arriving yet for you ovaries surely its got to turn up too! Are there any ways to bring it on?!

Sounds good for you tiramisu you and Nubian will start looking like pineapples soon haha!

mito79 · 15/08/2017 12:25

My lunch is pineapple and avocado...😀

LopeyLopez · 15/08/2017 13:13

lol, never heard that about pineapples before! Interesting stuff.
So that's my diet for next month sorted....! Grin

Gudgyx · 15/08/2017 15:54

Hi ladies!

Can I join you? Bit late for the BFP in August though as we're only just starting TTC#2. My period only left on Sunday, so the next month is my counting time starting.

I'm 30 with a 2 year old, so fun and games galore at the minute. I have a load of health problems, so might not be as easy to conceive this time around but we will give it a good try.

waves speak soon hopefully!

SydBound27 · 15/08/2017 16:02

Gosh all the talk of pineapples is reminding me of feeling ENORMOUS with DD who was 13 days late and desperately doing anything to go into labour, including half a pineapple a day... Any little helps though right?

SydBound27 · 15/08/2017 16:03

Hi @gudgy ! Welcome to the group. Also have a 2 year old.. they;re quite.. something!

Karpuzkiz · 15/08/2017 17:07

Hi gudgy more the merrier!

Pineapple gives me a sore tongue if I eat too much!
