Get me a straitjacket...I can't stop testing my pee because I've lost my mind.

In a nutshell;
-Been with hubby now 10years, married for 2
-Decided to start trying for a baby
-Never been on the pill, all hail the wonders of condoms
-I ovulated on the 4th June and baby danced on both 4th and 5th
-Im taking STUPID tests every single day (cheapo amazon and SD)
-all were negative but of course I'm testing TOO EARLY
-and breathe...

I need some direction ladies. Why am I feeling so intensely crazy? I can't even wait another 5 days till period is due. Okay so I feel some weird symptoms, like a period pain type of niggling pain every night, a silly tonne of flatulence and hysteria. I just can't stop testing.

I even had a very vivid and incredibly real dream this morning that 2 lines appeared. So I tested but still a BFN.

How can I stop myself from testing every day? Has anyone else been a mad woman and done this?

Aw no worries I am having a shorty say too meant to be 3 of us in my work today one has been off sick and the other not turned up so despite me being full of cold I am here on my own and ready to either cry or rip someone's head off (possibly a teeny bit hormonal!) on a plus note because i am obsessed I checked my cervix position again and maybe it is high and soft!!! I washed my hands extra well ewwwww!

Had a tiny smudge of blood last night all gone and another BFN on FRER sigh am on a hen do tomorrow so obviously will be on the wine so my plan is to use the luxury digital test so that I can read not pregnant and get drunk guilt free x

oh no @Cookie1831.. not what you want! I am beginning to panic a little myself.. still have very light pinky smudge when i wipe two days after my period is meant to end. Normally by now its dark brown.. but I haven't really had any of that this time round. My AF seemed relatively normal too. I think the main concern is i'm also having a weird pain in my hips and feel SO TRIED! (But that's probably because I gave up caffeine and nothing else.) Is it possible to get negatives, still have your monthly bleed and STILL be pregnant? haha (clutching at short straws as i don't want to think that anything is wrong down there.)

Ha ha I do that too have definitely googled more than once "how heavy can implantation bleeding be"?? And have routinely done a test a few days after bleed ended just to be sure! Could the heat be tiring you out? I have been shattered but that could also be as staying up to watch love island every night #obsessedwithshittv

I got hammered last night after my bfn.... great fun :)
Still no AF and still feel pregnant but FRER was pretty bloody definitive in its shiny whiteness :( I want to text again!! I haven't since Wednesday lunch....

I'm sure anything is possible pinkemi, think of all the women who don't know for months that they are PG and still have light periods etc!

@Llanali problem is my period was pretty normal... except for the pink leftovers instead of the normal brown.

When were you due again?

Hello ladies! First post, first cycle trying for first baby- so glad to know I'm not the only one obsessing about testing I'm only 8dpo but I'm a nurse, and about to do a 11.5 hour night shift 20 feet away from a pregnancy testing machine, somebody please talk some sense into me quickly!!!

llan I totally feel pregnant now sore boobs lots of white discharge (sorry tmi) and cervix high and soft and I want to test again even though definite neg this morning so am super impressed you have been a whole 2 days without!!!

Hi @emilyvb I speak for all of us when I say can we have a family trip to your workplace and have a go on this prep test machine and possibly stay there everyday so we can test to our hearts content

@Pinkemi it is entirely possible to have perioda while pregnant. Happen's a lot more than you think. I reckon test after discharge has gone (I'm no doc but I like to pretend lol)

I've just chopped my hair the shortest it's been since I was 6....feel better about next round of trying once i finish af. Bring on next cycle!

So.. the punky discharge seemed to go away at around late afternoon. Just got home and tested.. What the hell eh? Lol it's negative.. always always negative! Gah!

I'm feeling strangely productive so going to go sort my clothes out. I have far too many (which I can't actually fit into coz they are too small. ) going to store them in a vacum bag under my bed until I lose enough weight to fit into them. (Although I've been holding onto a lot of these for years. )

@Pinkemi where are you in your cycle? I thought being snotty and feeling like you have the start of a cold was an early sign?

8 days until AF is due and I'm symptom spotting. Boobs are sore, weeing more frequently (didn't notice until DH said something) AAAAAGH! I NEED TO KNOOOOOOOW! How early can I POAS!!!!

@Pinkemi sorry but the BFN again. But at least you're getting clothes sorted eh? Far more than I ever get done!

@YouCantArgueWithStupid they usually say absolute minimum with an early test such as FRER you can use 5/6 days before af is missed. It's the only one on the market which detects the lowest out of hcg. But hold off as long as possible! Otherwise it'll become a very recurrent and very expensive habit (I've totaled over 50 quid this month. I'm so embarrassed lol)

How weird I have just had my hair cut short too!!! I feel soooo pregnant have totally convinced myself I am but of course huge negative this morning Af due tomorrow but cycle does tend to be irregular arggghh

I love that you said a family trip to the machine you girls are keeping me sane this week (well maybe not sane keeping me company in my craziness!)

Cookie it may be a family trip but we will all have to fight over who uses the machine first lol.

It's a drag. The whole waiting and going crazy and countless BFNs and symptom spotting and the works. But it's so reassuring knowing I'm not the only one. Now I'm just waiting for AF to end so I can jump on hubby and poas every day lol

You're all welcome to come and form an orderly queue in front of the machine! I had to resist as it takes five minutes to run so too much potential for a colleague to come in (I was looking after all male patients so no excuses!!)

I'm 9dpo now and tried a few ICs to no avail- I'm going to become a POAS addict I can tell. Anybody else just not feeling PG though? Apart from a few days of hideous bloating I've had no symptoms and just feeling out.

Hey ladies. Not sure if I am actually qualified to join as so far I have only taken one test. yes ONE. However it came as a pack of two and I have thought of nothing else but that other stick all day.

It was a clear blue early test but still a bfn. I am trying to convince myself that in my sleepy state maybe I missed seeing the squinter. But I got up and checked that think like 10 times.

Also on this threads recommendation I tried to test my cervix but I haven't got a clue what I am feeling for. Seems high and hard but idk what it would normally be.

Been tired, bloated, sensitive to abdomen touches (including waist bands), lots of needing to pee and often desperate. Ack. I just want to know. Think I may use second test in the am then get some cheapies during lunch break.

Hi Anban. I think with the cervix thing you'll need to check every couple of days to get used to what it's up to haha, I was told if it feels like the end of your nose then it's hard and if it feels like your bottom lip it's soft but I can't say I've done much checking!
Are your symptoms different to AF symptoms?

Cookie, I see your train station loo and raise you the staff loo at 5am having had no drinks all night shift to try and concentrate my wee. So tired I could barely see the stick! So now I have another BFN and probable kidney failure 😂
