Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has well and truly worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Oh Chlo when can we have a picture?!

Pyjamas81 · 13/07/2017 10:07

Oooooo definitely post a pic chlo! Puppy pics make everything better 😁

Working from home today which is such a big relief already. Terrified about testing tomorrow and am knicker checking about 1000 times an hour!

Flashinthepan · 13/07/2017 10:19

Pyjamas I'm still crossing everything I've got for you. We'll all be here if you need us whatever the result I'm going to be Hilda Hopeful until told otherwise though

Also, I need to tap your collective wisdom, I'm CD 12 today, had positive OPKs CD10 and CD11, assumed I had OVd and was therefore out, as we only HS CD7 and CD8. But...after two days of watery cervical mucus, today I'm getting EWCM, but, my boobs hurt. Cervix is high and soft. What is going on?

sk1pper · 13/07/2017 10:38

Chlo - puppy pictures are required ASAP, I've always wanted a dog so I can live my dream through you.

Binky - sorry to hear you're having a tough time too Binks xx

Pyjamas - ooooooh Friday will be here before you know it. I'm so excited for you!!!

sk1pper · 13/07/2017 10:40

Flash - do you get ovulation pain? Or have you had any pain that could have been ovulation pain. I have had EWCM a few days after ovulation before but it's really hard to judge for you personally. Assume it would be odd for you to have these symptoms if you have ovulated?

Flashinthepan · 13/07/2017 10:49

Yesterday I had some low down achey cramps, AF style, but in the past I have had clear one-sided ovulation pain, which wasn't like what I had yesterday.

I started taking Agnus Castus a few days ago, but I don't think it's likely it would have any effect this quickly.

Everything points to me still being in fertile week, cervix, CM etc, apart from the achey boobs. Guess we'll just have to try and HS and hope for the best.

Loosemoose28 · 13/07/2017 10:52

Well I have absolutely no idea what by body is doing now. Woke up at 0300 with cramps. The type that give me the feeling of doom. Havent had a proper period for years due to pill thought this is it shes coming. I swear I almost get contractions. I was so dizzy, sweating, felt so ill. Unfortunately woke OH up in process of stumbling to the loo, he
Made me a hotwater bottle love him. I prob spent an hour in the loo. Didn't actually faint. Ran a bath. Got in that for a bit. OH got up to check on me in the bath and suggested A&E - he hasnt seen me
Have a proper period yet.
Anyway once I was convinced I didnt need the loo anymore (period always used to start with upset tummy) I crawled, literally, back to bed curled round hotwater bottle.

Woke up this morning. Excuse my french here but what the fuck! No period, not even a spot or anymore cramps! FFS!!

Loosemoose28 · 13/07/2017 10:59

Sorry needed to rant. I need a period but at the same time I am so scared of getting one every month because of the pain!

Chlo22 · 13/07/2017 11:29

Here he is. His names Dougie or Douglas when he's being a bit naughty lol

Loose so sorry you had a lot of pain and that you didn't get a period. Maybe it's a warning shot that its on its way!

Chlo he is so snuggly and gorgeous! I'm trying to wear DH down as he doesn't like pets.

Pyjamas81 · 13/07/2017 12:40

Oh look at his face!!! So cute 😃

Had a little more brown spotting this morning and had a minor cry about it - thank goodness I'm at home. It seems to have stopped now. I hate this shit - I wish they had just kept me under general anaesthetic from egg collection to test day 😒

Jamon · 13/07/2017 15:13

Hello binky your job sounds nuts hope it's subsiding. I don't think we will pursue varicocele privately at the moment - the treatment is surgery and that would likely interfere now with IVF. Our first IVF appointment to kick things off with the hospital is the end of August so not long now. I think later down the line he might go to his gp and ask to be referred to urology to assess it further. The fertility clinic won't touch it, which is frustrating.

Chlo how much is the surgery out of interest? When can you start trying after? Adorable puppy!

Loose sounds awful maybe it is on its way?

Hang in there pyjamas keeping everything crossed for tomorrow xx

MouseLove · 13/07/2017 16:52

Keeping everything crossed for you pyjamas, it actually sounds promising that something is happening. When is test day?

Also, fun fact of the day. I just noticed my resting heart rate dropped by 2 last Monday (suspected O day) and did the same last month but seems to have settled this cycle into a steady number after that dip. Might be coincidence or a crock of shit but it made me interested in possibly temping again next cycle for science if nothing more.

Loosemoose28 · 13/07/2017 17:11

A very bittersweet AF has arrived. Back to bed I crawl.

Hello CD1

sk1pper · 13/07/2017 17:31

Moose - your pre-AF troubles sound like mine, every detail you described I can relate to. Your pain should ease now AF is here. I can recommend Paramol, an over the counter pain killer for future cramping and turmoil.

Chlo - that is one adorable pooch!!

Mouse - yep some people use Fitbits to analyse their cycles now, I believe it's an actual thing albeit fairly new.

Flash - yep have plenty of sex to cover all eventualities. It's possible you haven't!

Pyjamas - will you test in the morning? I'm still so hopeful for you xx

Pyjamas81 · 13/07/2017 17:44

Yep - testing in the morning - terrified.

About to meet DH to go see new planet of the apes film. Need distraction! And a break from obsessive toilet paper inspecting!

Pyjamas81 · 13/07/2017 18:38

Scratch that, went to the loos in restaurant during dinner with DH and the spotting has got worse 😞 We've gone home - just can't be around people. I'll still test tomorrow as I can't bear the thought of going through all of this then not even POA fucking S, but I don't have much hope girls 😞

sk1pper · 13/07/2017 18:40

I've hit an all time low. Well I say that but just to confirm, I feel fine. Im just acknowledging the level of defeat I've sunk to. I'm having a beer 3 days before period is due without pg testing first.

Jamon · 13/07/2017 18:56

Pyjamas this is the worst bit I really really feel for you. Keeping everything crossed the spotting subsides and you can POAS with every hope of that second line tomorrow. You're doing so well

Skipper think I've reached a similar stage - - I've been drinking almost throughout this TWW Blush

Moose hot water bottle and painkillers for you.

OP posts:
Flashinthepan · 13/07/2017 19:50

moose glad the limbo is over. I second jam with the hot water bottle. And maybe a bottle of something stronger.

Pyjamas you really are doing so well. Do whatever you need to do to feel as ok as you can.

Can I ask, if anyone knows, if I'm not pregnant by October when we get referred to the fertility clinic, if we come back as unexplained, apart from my one tube issue, would we get referred for IVF straight away, or would we be told to keep trying?

Flashinthepan · 13/07/2017 19:52

Also I never worry about stopping doing things in case of pregnancy now. It feels so unlikely that I'm going to see a second pink line again. In fact I'm pretty sure I have ovulated as have creamy CM now and boobs sore, but I'm enjoying a glass of champagne as we speak.

MouseLove · 13/07/2017 20:25

Is it usually 2 years before you seek tests? I hit a year next month (😐) but with me having 10 weeks of actual pregnancy would they class that as me not having a problem. I mean. I don't feel ready for tests really. I just didn't think I'd still feel relatively new to TTC after a year. Confused dot com.

Pyjamas I know you are probably feeling like the floor has fallen from under your feet and there's nothing anyone can say to make things better. You probably won't sleep. But remember. No matter the outcome tomorrow. This is just the beginning. You are so much closer to holding your sweet baby. Wether that is in 9 months from now or later. But you are in touching distance. Remember that. I'm keeping everything crossed for you. You are stronger than you think!!!!

Pyjamas81 · 13/07/2017 21:21

Oh you guys - you're brilliant, thanks so much for the support. Spotting seems to have subsided, but it's set my expectations low for tomorrow, which is probably a good thing. Had a big cry on DH earlier and feel a bit better - thank goodness we decided against the cinema.

Binkybunny13 · 13/07/2017 21:33

Thanks for the kind wishes guys 😊 Friday tomorrow thank goodness!

Sending you so many good vibes pyjamas 🤞🤞🤞 Another Hilda here! But totally understandable to be feeling upset with the spotting- hope it all turns out to be nothing and tomorrow is the best of days- but even if not, as mouse says, you are closer to your sweet baby. We are all rooting for you x

O.M.G. Chlo he is gorgeous!! 😍 and fab news about DH sperm and op- fx this is all you guys need for your sticky BFP

Mouse HR monitoring sounds intriguing- reckon I'd be way more into that than temping as it's more "normal". Do you use a Fitbit?

Flash think I'm with you and probably ovulated now. Also reckon am out for the month with a lack of HS- am trying to keep positive however as if I have O-ed it means this cycle will be a 30something day cycle again (rather than last cycles 42 Hmm)

MouseLove · 13/07/2017 21:37

Yep I got myself a Fitbit charge 2 after the mmc in a bid to get fit and lose some weight.... paha. Well so far it's a fail. I've put on rather than lost despite being active and eating well. Sod's law.

I like the Fitbit for sleep though, alllllll those red lines are a good indication that i probably need a new mattress.
