Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has well and truly worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

pjs whoop whoop that's amazing news! So pleased for you been thinking of you this morning. When will you have the transfer or is that what you'll find out on mon? How many are you allowed? I think I read they grow them to day 5 then transfer. Have a good weekend and trying to relax x

Pyjamas81 · 01/07/2017 14:22

Provisionally booked in for Monday transfer otters but all will depend on how they're doing. If there are contenders to leave until blastocyst stage, then it'll be a couple of days later. I'm learning so much! Honestly thought we'd only get one or two so I'm made up with the result so far. Must. Keep. Feelings. In. Check.

Going to try this fertility yoga DVD today and have put together menu for the week from Emma Cannon's new book - all in the name of distraction!

Wow congrats pyjamas!!!! Fantastic news!

So I'm 10dpo today and just tested - BFN! But I have loads of symptoms - exhaustion, nausea, weird taste in my mouth, cramps and lower back pain, thirsty and weeing lots - I just feel pregnant. Wondering now though whether I'm totally deluded or whether it could all be side effects from the medication I'm on, so don't really know what to think. Will probably just keep peeing on frers until AF arrives. Sigh.

Pyjamas81 · 02/07/2017 09:13

Ah thanks Harriet - it is unbelievably hard to not get excited! Tomorrow morning is the next big hurdle (they'll call me before 9.30 with progress update - fully expect numbers to have come down), so just trying to take each hour as it comes.

Sorry about BFN 🙁 could be too early though!

Flashinthepan · 02/07/2017 09:54

So hopeful for you pyjamas! Can't wait to hear what the week brings.

Sorry about the bfn Harriet but hopefully with those symptoms it is just too early. FX.

Massive temp drop and AF arrived right on cue for me this morning. I think I've turned a corner though, no symptom spotting and no testing/buying tests and wasn't surprised when AF showed. Painful cramps though which is always the worst thing for me on the first day.

harrietm87 · 02/07/2017 09:59

Oh no flash I'm so so sorry about AF - you had such epic shagging this month as well, I was so hopeful for you. Hope the cramps aren't too bad and you've been enjoying your nice weekend.

I'm on the train back to London (in laws live up north) and have been upsetting myself reading all the baby threads on mn - need to get a grip.

Fx pyjamas for good news tomorrow - how does it work? Do they transfer 1 or 2 and store the others?

Pyjamas81 · 02/07/2017 10:07

Sorry about SF flash 🙁

Thanks for the fx Harriet - I need all the fx! They'll call me and tell me how embryos have or have not progressed - the timing of the transfer and whether we put in 1 or 2 all depends on the quality of the embryos. I'm provisionally booked in for transfer at midday tomorrow, but if there are a couple which are strong enough to make it to blastocyst stage, then transfer will be a couple of days later. It's all so uncertain!

Pyjamas81 · 02/07/2017 10:08

Oh and if we're lucky enough to have a couple left, they'll keep monitoring them to see if they become good enough to freeze. Gah.

Flashinthepan · 02/07/2017 10:32

Thanks ladies. Someone in the infertility board had the exact same post spotting ovulation problem I had for two years! Docs couldn't find anything wrong with her either so she tried Agnus castus and it stopped pretty much straight away. So that's my new focus this month. Have ordered some already.

otters2017 · 02/07/2017 10:48

pjs so hopeful for you. Really
Hope you get good news tomorrow morning. All sounds very promising. Can imagine the nerve wrecking minutes from now till the phone call. Hope you have something inind to distract yourself.

harriet sorry about the bfn but may be too early? The symptoms are promising

flash sorry AF got you. Fx for next cycle. Hope the angus castus works for you

I'm cd29 (usually 28-30days) and no sign of AF. Sorry tmi alert - Have brown discharge but I think it's post procedure rather than pre AF. My temp dropped massively yesterday so fully expecting AF today but temp rose again today so what's going on? Any experts here?

Jamon · 02/07/2017 11:00

Errrr pyjamas how amazing is that? Well done you're doing amazing getting through all this. So excited for your transfer, fx for all your little embies

Sorry af came flash but glad to hear you're coping better mentally

Fingers tightly crossed harriet, that sounds promising. In the last few days I have to keep saying to myself "I might be I might not be" and trying to accept the unknown (realistically usually still get mental though)

Flashinthepan · 02/07/2017 11:11

otters if you can cope with seeing bfn, I would probably test. The temp rise and lack of af symptoms by 13 dpo would be too much for me to resist. However, if the temp dip was an implantation dip, you might not get a bfp for 3-4 days.

Thanks jam actually I feel fine. I'm looking forward to a new cycle and giving the Agnus castus a go. Plus it means I probably won't be pregnant by our France holiday at the end of the month, so I can enjoy the wine and cheese!

Kathrino · 02/07/2017 11:25

Excellent news pyjamas! Hoping that they're all doing their thing today and there's more good news tomorrow.

Alexia and Jam, I'm so sorry that you're both having such a hard time. It's really shit isn't it? Thinking of you both 😘

Oh Flash, I'm so sorry about AF. I hope you've got some good drugs to take the edge of the pain. Good luck for the next cycle and hopefully the agnus castus will make a real difference.

Sorry about the BFN Harriet but it's still so early and your symptoms sound v promising. Keeping everything crossed for you!

otters2017 · 02/07/2017 11:25

flash I thought I had an implantation dip at 7/8dpo so was a little surprised by this dip which is more significant. Have googled that implantation could be 6-12days. Not holding out too much hope as progesterone was a little low but could be if tested at the wrong time. Argh! I'm going to hold off testing until tues if AF hasnt shown up. Got 1 FRER left

Kathrino · 02/07/2017 11:27

I'm no temping expert at all otters but hoping it's a good sign and AF stays away.

otters2017 · 02/07/2017 11:37

Thanks kath trying to stay calm and keep positive who am I kidding time will tell but it seems to be dragging at the moment.

How's everyone else ?

bassetmum · 02/07/2017 11:59

Well af arrived for me two days early but not disappointed at all as obviously we arent ttc at the moment. My heart rate has got even better. Resting heart rate is now between 77-80 so everything is working. However I am not enjoying the most horrendous af I have had in years. Only just managed to stand up straight in the last hour or so, the cramps have been that bad. I'm hoping the long dog walk this afternoon will help!!

Wow 5 fertilisations pjs i have everything quietly crossed for you!!!

Sorry so many of us are feeling so down about this whole thing. I totally understand it.

MouseLove · 03/07/2017 08:28

Morning ladies. Sorry for the weekend disappointments with BFN and AF showing up for some of you. I feel like I'm right on the cusp of this being either a fantastic cycle or an absolutely terrible one.

DTD days 6, 10, 11, 12 but yesterday on CD13 we just couldn't find the time. I'm almost pissed off at myself. Im sure I've missed the egg yesterday if I have a 27 day cycle again but I'm really not even sure when I'm ovulating as I'm not tracking anything apart from CM. It's weird but I feel really fertile. 😳 And I have no idea what that even feels like but well, I'm feeling lucky?!

Probably should have jumped DH this morning but a late night last night has left me needing coffee and feeling terrible, I'm too old for this shit! 😂🙈

Happy Monday everyone. May it be one less Monday to your babies!! X

Pyjamas81 · 03/07/2017 09:58

So they called at 9.20, talk about making me suffer! We still have all 5, 2 of them have the right number of cells, the other 3 are a bit slower but still developing, one of those three may have arrested (stopped) but they don't know yet. All embryos are top quality. They want to take them to blastocyst stage and they've booked me in for transfer on Weds at 11am (day 5). I'm stressing so much!!

Flashinthepan · 03/07/2017 11:00

Oh Pyjamas that's fantastic. I'm so hopeful for you!

Mouse sounds like you're on top of your game this cycle. The sperm is all queuing up waiting so I'm sure it won't matter if you missed yesterday. LSFX for you!

Jamon · 03/07/2017 12:08

Hot water bottle and pain killers at the ready basset Cake

Mouse sometimes I get a massive mood boost around ovulation. I definitely feel friskier !

Top quality 👌🏼👌🏼 pyjamas this is brilliant. Transfer so soon! How many do they put back?

OP posts:
Pyjamas81 · 03/07/2017 12:25

Thanks guys!

We'll decide on Weds how many to put back - all depends on how they get on. This has all been such a whirlwind!

Sorry about AF basset, sounds like it's a bit of a bitch this month 🙁

Looks like you're pretty well covered as well mouse! Lots lying in wait there!

Jamon · 03/07/2017 13:18

Follicle scan done. Saw such a lovely gynaecologist at Ultrasound Diagnostic Services. Ovaries look good, nice big follicle about to release and uterus lining good. She told me to HS days 11, 13 and 15. Such a relief not to be told to do it every other day through month.

DH not back until Wednesday which will be Day 14 but not much I can do about that. Will do it Wednesday and Thursday

OP posts:
otters2017 · 03/07/2017 13:38

pjs that's excellent news!! So excited for you. Hope you get a lovely blastocyst to put back in on wed. It's all progressing so quickly must be overwhelming. Sending huge hugs

jamon glad to hear you got the scan and it's good! I'm sure you'll be covered if you dtd wed and thurs. Fx for you!

Sorry about AF basset but glad your heart rate is coming down. When are you able to TTC again?

mouse Fx for this cycle. Sounds like you've put good effort in!

I'm on CD30 and no sign of AF. Longest cycle is 31 days so not long to wait. My temps have stayed up which is encouraging but I don't really know what to think at the moment. Still getting lots of discharge post procedure. Hope it doesn't upset anything going on inside. Will test on an FRER tomorrow if no AF. Just want to know what's going on!

Flashinthepan · 03/07/2017 13:57

otters i've really got my fingers crossed for you. I'm so hopful for tomorrow's FRER.

Jam that's excellent. Good luck with the GOSing when your DH gets back.

I'm really hoping for a bfp from someone soon, we've been in a drought!
