No period or pregnancy symptoms :/??

Since coming off the pill I have had my period bang on time, arriving always on the 3Rd or 4th of each month. Therefore I was expecting my period to come today or yesterday (sat/sun).. Instead since Friday j have had odd bit of brown discharge which I've only noticed from wiping or once using a tampon for a few hours.. I've since been wearing a panty liner and had nothing show up.

I didn't expect to be considering pregnancy this month as I'm the pervious weeks we have been on holiday and avoiding pregnancy via the "pull out" technique. We were told by our nurse before going on holiday to avoid pregnancy until we returned and had a test for the Zika virus.

We hadn't had sex since coming home two weeks ago but haven't had the money to have the test for Zika yet.

Any thoughts on whether this sounds like pregnancy? I haven't really had any other symptoms x

Thanks x

No I just had super faint tests that weren't getting darker and it was way after my period should've been due so I was panicking. Had a mmc before so it was freaking me out a bit!

Maybe try frer in a few days if no luck x

TheseAreTheGoodOldDays · 09/06/2017 19:24

Congrats emvy!
Maybe worth trying a first response 16MrsE, it may be able to put your mind at rest Smile

16MrsE · 09/06/2017 19:29

So you had no period at all and missed it completely? X

The tests I've used are the digital clear blue ones that are meant to pick up really early and tell u how many weeks u are too but both been negative x

emvy · 09/06/2017 19:45

Yeah but what levels do they test? First response have the highest sensitivity on the market at 6miu.

I missed it completely. Had the tiniest of light pink spotting after dtd once but that was it.

16MrsE · 09/06/2017 20:09

Oh wow, so it was pretty obvious that you was expecting xx :)

Can't see it mention any levels says u can us it 6 days before period is due is it's meant to be 90% accurate if used on day period was due x

Yeah I've heard the digi clear blue ones aren't as sensitive as a frer... Seen pictures on here where the two lines on a frer are clear as day but the digi still says 'not pregnant'.. Any chance you can get yourself to a shop tonight ready to test in the morning??

16MrsE · 09/06/2017 20:40

Unfortunately not.. But I've just ordered two from eBay but they don't come until Wednesday :( x

16MrsE · 09/06/2017 20:58

Ordered more OPK tests too to see if I pick up anything from them but also to see If I ovulate this month. Don't know what to expect after these last 8 days and still going at min x

TheseAreTheGoodOldDays - how you getting on? My "period" came to an end after 9/10 days. Don't think I'm pregnant coz I'm getting a faint ish line on OPK and so think I'm due to ovulate soon perhaps. X

16MrsE · 12/06/2017 21:01

What'd you think? Close to ovulation?

No period or pregnancy symptoms :/??

TheseAreTheGoodOldDays · 12/06/2017 21:22

Hello! Same as before here, thinking we're prioritising a wedding (this year!) then straight into baby making Smile have decided we will use condoms between now and getting married to play it safe. I still can't see how either of us have picked up Zika but I appreciate my DF is worried about it.
Good thinking with the OPKs, have never used them myself but read about them on here. Maybe a day or two until your test line will be as dark as the other? How often are you meant to do them?

Also (and not wishing to her your hopes up) apparently OPKs can pick up the pregnancy hormone, have seen women get positives on them on here... Are you still expecting to have a first response test delivered on Wednesday?

16MrsE · 12/06/2017 21:37

I understand you wanting to be safe but I must say it's a shame. I really don't have the will power to not ttc for another six months, I think if I waited that long I would have totally gone off the idea of it by then and lost hope :/ having said that.. The wedding will help massively. We were thinking of having kids before the wedding but I was strongly against it, I just felt I wanted to do it the right way and get married first and share the same name and have a little more us time. It soon passes and the wedding is another life changing experience to get excited about :))) xxxx

Ill still have the pregnancy test delivery but not sure I'm going to test. I don't think it's pregnancy. I think the OPK would have been stronger if it was so think it's just picking up on ovulation most likely. Your meant to test once a day at the same time of day but It can take over so I just do one now and then when I have the time xx

Any sign of AF, 16? Or done any more ovulation tests? Smile

16MrsE · 14/06/2017 21:44

The brown discharge with the bit of blood in middle lasted 9/10 days not had anything since. Guessing it was a very odd "period".. Been doing ovulation tests over last two three days because I should be ovulating around 15th-22nd at some point. Looked more dark yesterday than today not sure if I've missed my chance not been doing the deed :'(

OP posts:
TheseAreTheGoodOldDays · 14/06/2017 22:46

Oh no, why have you not been dtd? Hope all is ok. Look at a positive, it will give you a better idea of when to pinpoint your ovulation for next month :)

16MrsE · 14/06/2017 23:03

Had a lot going on and not been on good terms with the Husband. I'm gutted because I wanted to get pregnant this month and have a match baby which is our anniversary.. I won't be ttc next month because April is not a good month for personal reasons to have baby due x :((

OP posts:
TheseAreTheGoodOldDays · 16/06/2017 07:43

Oh that's a shame, I hope you're ok! Are things better with your DH now?
Try and put a positive spin on it - even if you're not going to actively try next month you can use it to still try OPKs/chart your temp, so you know exactly when you ovulate, ready for the next month Smile x

16MrsE · 16/06/2017 09:24

No. Still no better, really sad I'm missing my chance this month because of it. Baby would have been due on our wedding anniversary x

I get what you mean but each month just feels like forever xx

OP posts:
TheseAreTheGoodOldDays · 16/06/2017 13:09

Oh no, how long have you been trying now? Would it be a disaster to still try next month? X

16MrsE · 16/06/2017 13:25

Six/seven months We've been trying now. If we got pregnant next month it would be due in April and April just isn't a good month I know it sounds stupid xx

OP posts:
TheseAreTheGoodOldDays · 17/06/2017 10:46

Nah not stupid, everyone has various reasons why certain times wouldn't be ideal for them!
I know it's hard when all you can think about is wanting a baby (I'm always looking for distractions!) but try and take comfort in that it can take a healthy couple a year to fall pregnant.
I know a couple who took 12 months, both early twenties, didn't smoke, rarely drank, generally healthy x

16MrsE · 17/06/2017 11:24

Thanks hun. If I'd honestly known it would take a year I would of started trying sooner xx

OPKs... The bottom one Is from just now. Yesterday I got the two above the look negative and then the top two are from the day behand. Have I missed ovulation? Am I ovulating right this minute or will it happen tomorrow or day after? Have I missed my chance as me and the Hubbie haven't been DTD??? X

No period or pregnancy symptoms :/??
OP posts:
Pibbee · 17/06/2017 18:22

Hi @16MrsE, none of those OPKs look positive. For it to be positive, the test line has to be as dark as, or darker than, the control line. Once you get a positive, you should ovulate 12-36 hours later.
