So in the absence of our lovely founder Hippy, I've set up thread #6 to help us keep up the motivation and PMA.

Congratulations to all our grads, the rest of us may be slacking behind but we'll be there soon!

Congratulations hippy - fantastic news and gorgeous ring!! A fantastic reminder that there's a lot of positive and exciting things in life outwith TTC!

I echo what moo said earlier and hope to see more of you on the Grads Thread soon, your chilled out approaches are hopefully the way forward!

Hippychic18 · 28/06/2017 11:28

Thanks Archies and Dolly

AF arrived for me this morning but I'm pleased to report that my PMA and happy engagement bubble has not been knocked or burst. I took a much more relaxed approach this cycle and will be continuing to do so from here on in.

good luck to everyone else

WOOHOO congrats @Hippy I was so excited for your update! Glad you had a lovely time :)

Thanks @moo and @Dolly hope you're both well!
The new PMA attitude = total relaxation xx

Chipsahoy · 28/06/2017 16:48

Congratulations hippy and what a stunning ring. You must be on cloud nine. Sorry AF arrived for you but good to hear of you PMA.

Started with sore boobs today which is normal for a few days before period, but don't feel all sad and resentful like I did last month. It will be what it will be. We have just booked a camping trip in July which I don't fancy doing in early pregnancy anyway!

Anna2006 · 28/06/2017 17:25

Wow congratulations @hippychic18. Exciting times ahead for you! Get planning that wedding and your BFP will be here before you know it!

Keep on it cycle buddy! Hope everyone else is okay. PMA to you all.

Chipsahoy · 29/06/2017 13:34

Brown spotting today, so I'm out this month.

Hippychic18 · 29/06/2017 16:49

Flowers chips sorry af arrived for you too x

ArchiesMamaBird · 30/06/2017 13:18

Hippy and Chips sorry that AF arrived for you both Flowers

And Hippy you need to tell us all about how your DP proposed! 🙊

I had an appointment at the hospital today to see the gynaecologist. He wants to redo my 21 day blood test again just to doubly make sure that I'm OV (even though I know I am) and he said the next step is for my to have a HSG which I'm quite excited for because I've heard it boosts your fertility for 3 months after (and it worked for Rose didn't it 😊). So I've got to call up when AF arrives and book straight in 👍🏼

So sorry af came @Chipsahoy. Hope you're not too down.

Yes @Hippychic18 more deets please!

@ArchiesMamaBird sounds promising. Always nice to think there's a plan in the pipeline! Fingers crossed it does the trick xx

Hippychic18 · 30/06/2017 15:27

Hi ladies :))
Well it was very romantic - he asked me aphrodites rock which is my very special place... he was reluctant to get down on one knee due to all the rocks 😂

The doc called me at the airport and I had to re take my 21 day bloods Archies as my prolactin level was really high ... I've done that now and all came back ok and my ovulation has been confirmed so just got to stay relaxed as prolactin is related to stress and keep at it for a while. Good luck with your tests chic ... has af arrived for you yet? You're usually around the same time as me ... maybe this is your month!?

Hi cakes how's the 2ww going? Xxx

CakesALot · 30/06/2017 15:32

It's dull @Hippychic18 I won't lie to you!! Still got most of it left to go as well. Lots going on the next couple of weeks though so hoping it'll fly by.

Very romantic indeed! How lovely!

Hippychic18 · 30/06/2017 15:41

cakes keeping busy and putting it out your mind - is definitely the way forward I think from my too many months experience of it 😂 Xxx

notparticularlypatient · 30/06/2017 19:46

Hi all, it's nice to see some action here on the pma thread again! I haven't been active myself lately, not really due to a relaxed cycle, but rather the opposite... anyway, hurrah for hippy and a lovely engagement ring! I recognized the rock from the picture - it is such a nice place! Thrilled for you, hippy. Hope it rubs off ttc-wise, but it sounds like you are quite relaxed about it - clearly the most sensible way forward.

Archies Fx that a HSG will do the trick if af turns up this month. It might have helped us conceiving DD - I had one the cycle before my bfp. So I have faith!

Cakes cheering you along the tww - and hope it turns out to be your last in a nine months while (or possibly much longer)!

Chips sorry about af. Hope you enjoy your camping trip - I completely agree that it would be too much to go camping with nausea onboard.

Magpie how are you doing? Hope all is well!

From the not-so-patient-world we can report that the 41st birthday has been celebrated, and while I try to keep the pma going, I have to say that turning 41 was not a great thing. My blood tests have come back normal though, so I try to take comfort in that. But I do worry that I might be too old soonConfused Anyway, trying not to think about it too much, and right now that is not too hard as am on holidays in Sicily - binging on pizza and pasta and the occasional glass (or two) of nice Sicilian wine. So here's to a relaxed holidays cycle!

CakesALot · 30/06/2017 19:54

Oo @notparticularlypatient that sounds lush! Happy birthday to you also. I hope that age isn't a factor for you and you can keep on going. Great news that your tests came back ok.

I had a baby bomb this evening. Although they are good friends and they have been trying for almost a year so I was genuinely thrilled for them. We live in the same area so I got excited at the prospect of sharing my knowledge of baby groups and support networks locally. Secretly hoping we can share some mat leave time but we'll see!

Happy PMA vibes to you all xx

ArchiesMamaBird · 30/06/2017 23:17

Patient your holiday sounds amazing, I'm slightly jealous! But hope you have a fab time.

Cakes babybombs are always annoying, but slightly less so when it's someone you care about and especially if they've been trying for a while.

Hippy awwww how romantic! He sounds like a big softie and I'm sure he'll make a fab dad one day soon. And that's fab that you are OV 😊 I think I OV a few days late this cycle, and my LP increased by a few days last month, so I think AF will be here anywhere between tomorrow and Tues. I'm feeling quite crampy and I've had watery CM which is normal for me at this point in the cycle so I'm not holding out too much hope. But I'm glad that we have a plan of action in place for the next few months 😊

Hippychic18 · 01/07/2017 07:35

patient hi I was wondering where you'd got to 😘 Hope you have an amazing holiday - relaxation and a bit of sunshine does us the power of good I think ... recharging our batteries and relaxing will hopefully net you your bfp. My bloods came back normal too so we must take comfort in this and just relax and let Mother Nature take its course. Try not to worry about your age - 41 is the new 31. Happy birthday to you xxxx

Hippychic18 · 01/07/2017 07:38

cakes sorry to hear about your baby bomb - but echo what Archie's said - it's nice when it's someone you know who's been ttc a while as oppose to those 'we weren't even trying' folk and hoping it will be your month so you can have some mat time with your friend xxxx

Hippychic18 · 01/07/2017 07:39

archies your not out till your out chic but glad your feeling good about having a plan in place for next few months xxxx

Chipsahoy · 02/07/2017 09:25

I think having a plan really helps archies, something to focus on, but as hippy says, you aren't out yet!

Cakes, baby bombs are hard, I have two pregnancies in my family right now.

Wow holiday sounds fab patients. Forty one isn't too old. My Bro in law is nine, my Mil had him when she was late forties!

AF properly arrived today right on schedule, which is good cos after antibiotics last month it was late and my skin was a mess, everything felt out of sync and wrong. Hopefully this means cycle is back on track.

Does anyone take any vitamins? I am about to start on evening primrose oil and omega 3 which you can take until ovulation. Also I take magnesium daily cos I can't eat wheat, so seriously lacking in it anyway.

ArchiesMamaBird · 03/07/2017 22:56

Sorry Chips, I read your message yesterday and forgot to reply about vitamins 🙈

I take a pre-pregnancy vitamin and also Omega 3 too. I took Evening Primrose for 1 month but I think it shortened my literal phase by a few days (it might not have been that, but it was the only thing I did differently that month). But some people rave about it so definitely worth a try. It's also meant to help with EWCM production 😊
