So in the absence of our lovely founder Hippy, I've set up thread #6 to help us keep up the motivation and PMA.

Congratulations to all our grads, the rest of us may be slacking behind but we'll be there soon!

Great news @ArchiesMamaBird! And good to have some advice too. Go forth and conceive!!!

MissMagpie · 14/06/2017 21:55

That's great news Archies. Hopefully your patience will be rewarded soon!

Are you testing tmrw Cakes? How are you feeling?

I am trying to chill out but since my MC four people have now told me they are pregnant. When is it my turn?!

ArchiesMamaBird · 15/06/2017 07:20

Oh Magpie, baby bombs are so hard, and I think they must be extra horrible for you now. It WILL be your turn soon, you deserve it so much after the last few months Flowers

Oh @MissMagpie totally got those 'when's it my turn' feels today. Feel like throwing a childish tantrum! Af arrived yesterday, about 24hours later than usual so she kept me guessing the little cow. But I'd already had a bfn yesterday morning so was expecting her. Had lots of those is it af or is it preggo symptoms this month but I definitely handled it better than last month when I was an anxious wreck.

At the start of this cycle DH and I said we'd take a step back for a few months if we weren't successful this time around. We have a big family holiday -there's 11 of us going- booked next April so will start to run the risk of not being able to go. We won't go back to using contraception or anything and if it happens then we'll take the approach that it was meant to be and we'll forfeit the holiday. Of course! So we'll really be testing out that 'it'll happen when you're not trying' theory!! I'll still be here though ladies as there's no way I won't be able to stop thinking about it entirely! Way too in tune with my body now. Quite looking forward to the breather though

Hope everyone is well and enjoying this glorious sunshine!

loababy · 15/06/2017 11:28

Hiya!

Just catching up after my holiday, love, hugs and PMA to all.
Sorry to hear af arrived for you @cakes but that is exactly the approach I am now taking too! In the mean time I am going back to concentrating on losing weight, living healthily and having a great summer. I've learnt you can not rush this process and when the time is right it'll be right :) No more counting days, NO more wishing away weeks of my life, NO more driving myself crazy symptom spotting, NO more putting off future plans, NO more ttc anxiety because I'm anxious enough anyway! haha. I will be lurking obvs.

CakesALot · 15/06/2017 11:53

Yes @loababy!! That's just it! I also have enough anxiety and other crap to deal with that I think I need to just concentrate on me for a bit and enjoy my crazy little DD and my wonderful DH. We're celebrating this new attitude tonight by booking a holiday for the 3 of us,just a few days in the sun.

I always say that there is never a right time to have a child and it's so true. They always turn your life upside down so if it's next month or next year,it's such a crazy time that preparation and patience can only help!

ArchiesMamaBird · 15/06/2017 19:38

So sorry that AF arrived Cakes, but super impressed with your upbeat attitude. And I'm sure that it will happen for you over the next few months now that you're taking a step back. I'm totally on board with both you and Loa, I've realised how bloody lucky I am to have DS and I'm going to throw all my effort and attention into being the best Mama I can to him. I feel liberated this cycle as I've not bothered to use OPK's or take my BBT. I'm pretty sure I'm due to OV over the next few days (I'm also waaaay too in tune with my body 🙈) but I'm not going to be a crazy symptom spotting lady counting down the days to AF.

Life's way too short for all this stress and anxiety. I'm just focusing on being healthier and happier and if a surprise little BFP arrives then it will just be a bonus 😊

Morning ladies.
I too seem to be taking a much more relaxed approach to ttc of late. There has been a lot going on recently and I think taking a mini step back has reduced my ttc anxiety a lot.

Hope everyone gets the chance to soak up some Vit D this weekend and it gives our fertility a big boost!

MissMagpie · 26/06/2017 14:25

I think everyone has jumped off the PMA ship! Am I the only one still on board?!

I am now in the 2ww at a max of 3dpo, as I got my static smiley on Friday.

How's everyone else?....

Mrsjones17 · 26/06/2017 14:35

Can I join this?? Stats:
29
TTC #1
Cycle 7
Currently 5 dpo

I'm really hoping this is our month but feel like I would be even more upset if it wasn't. We literally gave it all we had!

Flashinthepan · 26/06/2017 14:46

Hello missmagpie. I don't know if I have PMA or just a bit of indifference this month, but I'm 5/6dpo and feeling fairly chilled.

Mrsjones I feel like you this month too, DTD the 6 days surrounding OV so think it will definitely be worse if there's nothing. So far I'm about 5/6 dpo (Fertility Friend disagrees and thinks I should test on Friday!)

I feel nauseous and tired, but felt those things last month too. The only difference this cycle is I ovulated on CD 14, I normally ovulate much earlier, and my boobs have only just started to hurt yesterday/today and not too much, whereas in the past few months they've been horribly painful from 1 dpo.

Mrsjones17 · 26/06/2017 14:48

@flashinthepan fingers crossed for us both. I have no symptoms apart from slight twinge like AF every now and then. I know I'm symptom spotting and I wish I wouldn't. Ovia says to test a week today....

Willow611 · 26/06/2017 16:24

Hi all,

Just popping in for a quick hello, it's been a while, I honestly don't know what I do with my time, seem to be endlessly run off my feet and I don't even have a job at the moment so lord knows what I'm up to! Anyways... I hope everyone is keeping well and Cakes, Archie and Loa that you are still doing well with your chilled out attitudes. I've been trying my best to chill out here too and take a similar approach. I am CD 25 and AF could come any moment between now and the end of the week, but I'm keeping my mind off it as best I can. Am determined not to symptom spot and not to be checking every 20 minutes. Have had a really lovely time today with DS at the park, and on days like this it's relatively easy to count my blessings and think 'what will be will be'.

I was having a freak out about IVF last time I was on here, but this weekend I had an old friend staying who had her daughter through IVF and we had a good old chat about it. She opened my eyes to what it entails but also made me feel pretty reassured, knowing that she's been there and come out the other side is so comforting. So am feeling like if it turns out we do want to go for a bit of help in future, I might be able to cope with it.

How is everyone else doing?

Willow611 · 26/06/2017 16:25

Oh and hello Mrs Jones!

Fizzie100 · 26/06/2017 16:30

Hi there, room for another?
I'm TTC #2 and am on first month of trying properly. Last couple of months were fairly rubbish attempts as my cycles are irregular - anywhere between 31-44 day but have been reducing in recent days. Have used opks this month so fingers crossed. Am 2dpo.
Good luck everyone

ArchiesMamaBird · 27/06/2017 09:04

Hello ladies, long time no speak!

I've had a super chilled cycle, so have no idea when I OV (well I think I'm around 7dpo, but haven't used OPK's or done my BBT so not sure). And have no idea when AF is due, because my LP has varied from 11 days to 14 days over the last few months. Also trying not to symptom spot, but I have had the usual crampy AF type pains a little bit the last 2 months so not holding out too much hope.

But I do feel a lot better for relaxing and not being so obsessed this month Grin

Hi all,

I am feeling amazing after being so relaxed this month! :) I have no concept of dates, days or times and it is the best thing ever! It has taken away that horrible anxiety and I happily saw dp's sister at the weekend and discussed her pregnancy and share excitement for the baby with no sour feeling at all!! Love it.

I'm still on the ttc ship @missmagpie just in less of a rush to get to my destination haha.

Welcome @mrsjones fingers crossed for your bfp

Glad to hear you're feeling good @willow

@Archies love that you're enjoying your relaxed month.

Feeling chill and no updates from me really because I have no idea whats happening and when haha! x

ArchiesMamaBird · 27/06/2017 12:23

Loa It is pretty liberating isn't it! Although I'm so in tune with my body after 12 months ttc that I do know roughly when I OV, but because it's within a space of 4 days, I've found there's no point symptom spotting because I literally don't know what dpo I am Grin

OP posts:
loababy · 27/06/2017 12:41

I'm the same @Archies I know roughly but it's lovely not counting down days. Especially after my last cycle being crazy long it's nice not to have to worry about it.

CakesALot · 27/06/2017 15:25

Hi ladies!! Sorry I've been off the charts, lots going on, including potty training, so lots of 'fun' things to take my mind off TTC.

Lovely to see some new names here, welcome!!

Joining you @ArchiesMamaBird and @loababy on enjoying the chilled vibe. Think I'm in the middle of fw at the moment but taking a casual approach to it and just seeing what happens. Definitely nice to just get on with normal life and take a step back for a bit. I'm so lost on dates though that I've no idea what the actual date is anymore and forgot my friends birthday today, oops!!!

Chipsahoy · 27/06/2017 16:48

I'm another who stepped away and have felt really chilled. I suddenly realised today that AF is due at the weekend. The time has flown and I haven't thought about it or even noticed when I was ovulating. I've not worried about having a glass of wine, you know, "just in case, I'm pregnant".

It's been lovely. Fingers crossed out chilled out demeanours will lead to some bfps this month.

Welcome newbies Smile

Moo31 · 27/06/2017 17:00

Ladies just thought I would check in to say hello to you all. Loving the chilled approaches that you are all adopting and hoping that your patience will be rewarded with big sticky bfps! Hope you are all well :)
